All my years of watching football, I have never seen a defender scored a hat trick and provide two assists in a match. What Hakimi did is astonishing. He has developed so much under Luis Enrique. With this performance and with the way his club has been dominating the champions league and domestic league, he is going to retain his African best player award this time around. With the way he has been playing his football, I sometimes wonder what Hakimi would have achieved if he was a winger.

If I recall correctly, Hakimi is a player who was converted from a winger into a defender. He has gelled exceptionally well with Paris Saint-Germain and has developed into a fantastic defender. His performance in the last match was truly extraordinary. Looking at his display, he could well be named the world's player of the week. There is no dispute regarding the strength of PSG, but this year teams like Lille are not that far behind, and a team like Monaco has also improved a lot, having only one loss so far. However, the problem is they are having too many drawn matches, while other teams are not that far behind regarding their bench strength as well.

Hakimi is the best right back in the world right now, he has been on a good form since last three seasons and he keep performing well, he played like he decide who to win the match yesterday, scoring hattrick and deliver 2 assist, this is the kind of GA some attackers have not be able to achieve this season, i don't know why Real Madrid decide to sell him that year, but i think Real Madrid made a mistake about it because they need a good right back and they don't have.

Though i haven't made research but I can bet that Hakimi is the first defender to score a hat trick and give 2 assists in a single game. This is what happens when the forwards begins to get weak, the defenders took their jobs. Le Havre wanted to distract PSG by scoring first but PSG humbled them to a 5:1 defeat. PSG is just incredible and in my view, they have the best squad in the world because Real Madrid is out of the equation. We used to see Real Madrid as a club that has the best players but now we can all agree that the world class players are all at PSG.

Back in the old days, there were also defenders who scored hat tricks, even doing it several times in different matches. But Hakimi is still a special defender because he is the only one to achieve something like this in the modern era.
