They still won two tournaments like the FA Cup and the EFL Cup though but winning the Premier League and the Champions League titles was much more important after this high effort. It was a really devastating ending for Liverpool. They still had a solid effort generally this season but they need to turn this effort into titles too.

By saying "the best season", I meant that they would have won the Premier League title too. It would be enough to be named as one of the best seasons for them. Regret will always be there especially in this case the 2 trophies up for grabs (EPL Trophy and UCL) were lost at a very close time which makes this an undeniable regret.

I hope the board and management of Nottingham Forest will sign quality players with 300 million Pounds to remain in the premier league, the apex league is highly competitive for a  newly  promoted championship club to stay or remain in the league they just have to up their game and avoid many defeats as well as conceding many goals,  this season I think Norwich City, Watford and Brentford got promoted unfortunately Norwich City and Watford were relegated back to championship, this is wake up call to Nottingham Forest players to perform at the highest level.

There's nothing to be happy about IMO, after Manchester city beat Liverpool to the title in the Premier League, most of their supporters saw the UCL to be what will give them consolation but they lost out on that as well, next season is another time to give both the EPL  and UCL another shot and the team has to start preparing for it.

True, no fan is happy when they have a chance to win but fail at the end. Because the pride for fans is to see their team win.
