Mourinho is a good manager but I would say underdogs are becoming more and more capable and are displaying some good football nowadays. So its becoming quite hard.
To whom money is given more is expected, Mourinho was not backed during the transfer window, he requested for so many players to build his team but Levy did nothing instead so many players left the club, their best play maker Erickson left the club, Siggusson was sent on loan
Harry Winks had an injury problem, Lamela had injury problems, the whole team was performing very well in early December last year, before underdogs took over the top 4 knocking Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham out, thanks to Tuchel Chelsea were able to compete again. Mourinho deserves another season to turn things around.

You may be right but I really don't know. Even if Tottenham signed the players Mourinho wanted, I'm not sure whether they would have managed to fight for the championship. Because I still don't like Mourinho's style which is generally ending mostly-attacking play after scoring 1 or 2 goals. Tottenham really affected badly by that also. With a more fitted manager, Tottenham could be much better than this. And of course, I think they need to strengthen their midfield.

On a very realistic note Tottenham does not have what it takes to win the EPL just yet, the truth must be told, the foundation of the team is built on Son and Kane, 98% of their goals are score by either Son or Kane which is not good for a team challenging for a trophy, the goal must be spread around, the midfielders, defenders must be on the score sheet more often .take a look at Mancity and Chelsea team where the defenders and midfielders are always on the scoresheet every weekend, these shows how independent the teams are. Daniel Lavy needs to invest on quality players because coaches can't do it alone.

I am not a fan of Mourinho but you underestimate his ability. He is one of greatest coach in soccer. Mourinho does not have good substitutes for Kane and Son. Bale came back too lately in this season. Bergwick is a failure as he missed many great opportunities and that partially contribute to some bad results for Spurs.

The team and Mourinho can not blame on Bergwick but if Spurs have at least one more player who can help them with goals, they will be more competitive.

Coaches can not play and score goals on behalf of players. They can build up tactics and training players to help them create pressure on opponents and create opportunities to score goals. But score or miss opportunities, it is the side of players. I see Spurs have scored a lots of goals and many opportunities were missed. It is not fault of only Mourinho.

At least one more goal productive wingback and one younger central defender in the summer transfer.

The blame shouldn't be fully on Mourinho of course. It is true that he is a really great manager even though I don't like his playing style also. If the board decides to keep him at the team and he signs some players for the weaker points, we will get a better view of the team in the next season.

I think Son and Kane good foundation or Tottenham Hotspur but not give guarantee how next season Kane keep going on with Tottenham after failed get trophy every year on Tottenham, I think they have looking for new forward next season because Kane will try to get new club and give him big chance to get trophy like Manchester City or Liverpool, but Real Madrid want to get close with Kane for next season.

I think Kane will leave Spurs this summer, there are lots of stories in the media linking him with a move to Man City & Man Utd. He’s definitely good enough to be the main man at one of those clubs. Shame for Spurs but if you don’t compete to win trophies regularly, naturally you lose your best players to clubs that do. It’s the football food chain, always been that way.

Yes i think he will move next season since players want to win trophies and unfortunatly for tottenham they are not able to do it and i think his destination will be man united or real madrid he is more compatible with their style since he is not much of a dribbler so i think its unlikely for him to join man city.

I also support it to happen because in my opinion who is truly loyal to the club who cannot provide a bright future for the players.  Kane is one of the potential players they have, but his potential is not very visible if he is still in a team that hasn't changed much.  If there are offers from the two big clubs then that is a very good opportunity for Kane to win a trophy in his career.

Seconded. I'm also of the opinion that Jose Mourinho shouldn't take all the blame for Tottenham's inability to win trophies since he took over. The team has always been sub-par from the onset. Every season, they start with a spark but tend to lose their shine at the middle of the season especially when things gets tougher. Their recent Europa league exits goes to show that the team needs work, from the ground up if possible.

I think Kane will leave Spurs this summer, there are lots of stories in the media linking him with a move to Man City & Man Utd. He’s definitely good enough to be the main man at one of those clubs. This happens to even the best of teams in the world. The best players always need to be at top competitions, competing against other top players. Kane has been with the team for over a decade and in that time, there's very little achievements he can write home about. So It's probably a good time for him to switch things up. He needs to hit some trophies before get gets past his prime.

Anybody here wishing the days away until the EPL returns next weekend? I am sorry but the international soccer does nothing for me. It’s far from as entertaining as the EPL. Most world cup qualification games are dull, lots of low quality teams, boring.

It wouldn't be a surprise to me if he moves during the summer though I don't see it happening this summer, English players are not always loyal and they dont like moving abroad, Kane may likely join up Mancity to replace the outgoing striker Aguero if Pep dont get his hand on his primary target which is Lukaku from Inter Milan. IMO I think Kane wants to choose trophies over loyalty, Vardy did it at Leicester.

Levy will do everything to pin Kane to a contract except Kane decides he wants to leave.

I have different opinion. Top teams are not performing. City is the only exception.

Look at Utd, they are inconsistent. Without Vardy Leicester is too poor (not saying them they fulfill the criteria of top team), Liverpool is having their shittiest time, Chelsea, Tottenham with average performance.

Yeah that is also another reason. I would say bit of both. What about West Ham then? They last season were having relegation scare and are right now performing top performance of their time. Utd, I won't speak much. Leicester yeah they rely too much on Vardy but I think there are other players who can make difference. Iheanacho, Maddison, Barnes, Perez, Castagne - they are not the best but they could become a very good players and I believe they will at one point be performing even without relying  much on Vardy. Liverpool(luck is not in their favour), Chelsea are doing great ever since Lampard left.

Spurs still have time to turn this around and make into top 5 but given the teams who are below them following for at least top 5 finish including Liverpool is what makes it much hard.

I think the lack of transfers he wanted was a big problem for sure but also Mourinho didn't had the greatest roster neither, sure it is a shock to the world that Westham is above both spurs and lfc but that's about it, all other teams are good teams. Who can guarantee that city is worse than spurs? Noone, who can guarantee united? or leicester? or chelsea? These are all already great teams and being 5th behind these teams would be fine for spurs as well, that would make sense and it would not be shocking, the only one shocking is the fact that west ham is above them.

However spurs should count themselves lucky because normally they were expected to be behind liverpool as well but they are not, so they would have been right here on the current spot if west ham dropped but liverpool went up like expected. Mourinho wasn't given Manchester city, he was given spurs, so he is doing what he can with what he has.

So indeed sometimes people prefer the European league to enjoy and the stakes, I myself don't like it means that I don't really see the match while qualifying is still running unless the competition has started to get tense and there must be excitement.

The EPL league is just a little waiting and in early April we will see the matches of all leagues restart and now the bets have been prepared because they can indeed be used as capital with the pairs that have been applied.

A little bored there is but the quality of the match is an international league.

Yeah that is also another reason. I would say bit of both. What about West Ham then? They last season were having relegation scare and are right now performing top performance of their time.
West Ham, they surprised me. Antonio, Jarrod, Tomas are good. They are good at set pieces too. It's working for them.

Quote
Utd, I won't speak much. Leicester yeah they rely too much on Vardy but I think there are other players who can make difference. Iheanacho, Maddison, Barnes, Perez, Castagne - they are not the best but they could become a very good players and I believe they will at one point be performing even without relying  much on Vardy. Liverpool(luck is not in their favour), Chelsea are doing great ever since Lampard left.
Not much to tell about Utd. Their only problem is that they are not consistent. I know it from my own experience. There were many bets which I lost just because I was confident that Utd will win. These days I do not bet for them and it's been a long time. They are too risky for gamblers lol

I was impressed by Leicesters performance last year but at the end they messed up. They are doing okayish in this season so far and I hope they do not lose their track and allow others who are behind them to overtake them.

Being a Liverpool supporter, it's hard to talk about them now a days. There were times when none of the teams mattered for us. We are losing our games, I doubt we will have better result in the upcoming matches. A bottom team can take us easily.

Just noticed that when the season was starting everyone was so excited about Liverpool that 32.50% vote were for them LOL

https://i.imgur.com/nVJA5gl.png
Many were excited about the Liverpool previous fantastic season and they expected them to do the same in this one. Personally I voted for City and they disappointed me a lot in the beginning but I am happy to see them not failing my expectations Wink
I was also surprised at the start about Liverpool, but somehow I was more confident about City together with Pep who looked more promising for the results at the end of the season. Indeed, Liverpool the previous season was extraordinary and it is no wonder that the crowd who chose Liverpool this season was in the polls because Klopp looked so good. But yes, it was only the beginning and unfortunately Liverpool were unable to maintain their dominance.
Most people chose liverpool to retain their title because no one expected the massive injury list Liverpool have had this season. Most people excused Manchester City in the 2019/2020 season because of the injury to only Laporte. Liverpool have had their entire defence and several first team players injured throughout or at some point this season (Van dijk, Gomez, Matip, Trent, Davies, Tsimikas,  Henderson, Milner, Fabinho, Mane, Jota, Keita, Chamberlain etc).

Anybody here wishing the days away until the EPL returns next weekend? I am sorry but the international soccer does nothing for me. It’s far from as entertaining as the EPL. Most world cup qualification games are dull, lots of low quality teams, boring.

You're definitely not alone as I do feel the same about international breaks. These international breaks weekends are usually boring that's why I don't even gamble on these matches. I've been patiently waiting for the Premier league and other top sports league to resume again for regular season.  I'm not a huge fan of international games. The worst are those Uefa Euro 2021 matches.

Looking forward to Leicester vs City and Arsenal vs Liverpool games next week saturday.

As it seems, many people feel that international soccer is boring, especially seeing the game of Netherland which is very embarrassing. makes me
lose the mood to bet on international matches. I am also more interested in the Premiere League, which is very interesting when the top teams fight
for the Champions League spot. As an Arsenal supporter, I am really looking forward to the Arsenal vs Liverpool match. because I believe this match is
very interesting. Especially Arsenal's performance is getting better, hopefully Arsenal can win against Liverpool whose performance has decreased.
For another big match Leicester vs Manchester City it looks like Manchester City will win the match easily.

I agree with that...the majority of matches on the euro world cup qualification have very bad ods to gamble...many traps and many insane situations like the one in the match between hongry and Poland.
