The blame shouldn't be fully on Mourinho of course. It is true that he is a really great manager even though I don't like his playing style also. If the board decides to keep him at the team and he signs some players for the weaker points, we will get a better view of the team in the next season.

Mourinho has improved Tottenham tactic and help some players to improve their skills. Son and Kane have had their best seasons in their careers and they would say warm and sincere thanks to Mourinho.

In this Covid-19 pandemic and serious financial effects to clubs, it is challenging to sign big contracts to improve the squad. Let's see the decisions from Levy and which players will be signed in the summer.

It wouldn't be a surprise to me if he moves during the summer though I don't see it happening this summer, English players are not always loyal and they dont like moving abroad, Kane may likely join up Mancity to replace the outgoing striker Aguero if Pep dont get his hand on his primary target which is Lukaku from Inter Milan. IMO I think Kane wants to choose trophies over loyalty, Vardy did it at Leicester.

The career-span of player is too short. If Kane hesitates to leave Tottenham because of his love and loyalty in one or two more seasons, he will stay at Spurs forever. When he is getting older and has shorter time to play at top-notch levels, other big clubs won't want to spend big transfer fund for him and accept to break their salary structures for him.

Levy will do everything to pin Kane to a contract except Kane decides he wants to leave.

Levy always want to charge expensive transfer fees for Spurs' stars. Kane is the biggest start in the club so fee won't be cheap.

Anybody here wishing the days away until the EPL returns next weekend? I am sorry but the international soccer does nothing for me. It’s far from as entertaining as the EPL. Most world cup qualification games are dull, lots of low quality teams, boring.

You're definitely not alone as I do feel the same about international breaks. These international breaks weekends are usually boring that's why I don't even gamble on these matches. I've been patiently waiting for the Premier league and other top sports league to resume again for regular season.  I'm not a huge fan of international games. The worst are those Uefa Euro 2021 matches.

Looking forward to Leicester vs City and Arsenal vs Liverpool games next week saturday.

In as much as it a national honour to be called to play for country, most players in the premier League whose home country has not seen as much development as the countries they play their football, are always very reluctant and afraid to come represent their country in an international match because of this injury scare. Be it a friendly or a qualifiers game. Especially in developing countries where there health care system is still not reliable and medical allocation for players very small or not inclusive. I think there should be a clear consensus between club and country before they release any player next time for an international match as to who and how any medical emergency bill will be sorted out promptly if it arises, to ensure that the player's morale is high.

I agree with that...the majority of matches on the euro world cup qualification have very bad ods to gamble...many traps and many insane situations like the one in the match between hongry and Poland.

The chances of winning a bet placed on European world cup qualification matches is very slim, a lot of upset in many matches is usually recorded except some few matches whose winning is guaranteed but odd too small e.g San Marino vs England, Kazakhstan vs France, Albania vs England etc the odds doesn't worth it just as bad as you mentioned it, once EPL resumed this weekend I hope to see better odd and more opportunities in placing them.

The lack of training and playing together with fellow national players make their appearance different when they have to play for their country, often these players are also tired at the club because of the tight competition, especially if the player plays in a big club.
I also prefer to wait for the league competition to return to play and placing bets again.

I think that's a problem that players generally have when they defend their country. Due to this reason it may have caused some gambler to be unwilling to bet as long as the competition between countries was in progress to avoid losses. But usually some of the best countries that have many players in the best league can be seeded, such as Spain, England, Germany, Belgium, France and several others.

I also prefer to wait for the league competition to return to play and placing bets again.

If you don't have a single country you can rely on, waiting for the league to start is the best way.

The bad performance of this team is very much based on the player's injury factor.  Compared to other teams, Liverpool is the team with the highest number of players experiencing injuries.  Eight players are in the process of recovering from injuries, and their injuries are serious enough that even Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip should be included in the long-term injury category.  To maintain the position of the champion yesterday was very difficult, even to survive in the top 5 they had very difficult.  Juergen Klopp's team is only able to be in seventh position, aka outside the Champions League zone because of their lame and inconsistent performance.

Harry Kane is already so associated with Tottenham that it is difficult to imagine him in another club. It's like Totti with Roma was until the very end. Perhaps Kane is happy with everything in Tottenham, he is used to everything and his ambitions are not so great as Roy Keane sees it.

I think he’ll leave this summer, it’s based on nothing but a hunch but I think Kane will leave Spurs this summer. It’d be for a big fee so Spurs could probably strengthen several positions in the team by losing only one player.

If Harry Kane decides to leave Tottenham he would want to remain in England because of his family, English players at his age always preferred to stay and settle in the local league to save their National team career. I think The Manchester clubs are the favourite to sign him, Kane wouldn't want to play for Chelsea because of the rivalry between Tottenham and Chelsea. Well I don't see him move anytime soon.

Tottenham does not have a problem with the manager - they simply aren't investing enough.

I'm not saying that Mourinho was a top long-term pick, I felt he was a decent short-term one but no matter who was in charge of Tottenham, I really don't think they'd be contending for trophies. They climbed up the ladder with Poch and his great few years, they have a really good squad but they lack some strength and particularly depth to be able to make that next step.

Not saying Tottenham should keep Mourinho - just thinking that they wouldn't be much better even with Guardiola or Klopp. Nagelsmann? Sure, for long-term sounds better than Mou.

For Tottenham, things truly fell apart and the center has been unable to hold. Letting Pochettino go began a domino effect that has led Spurs to this precarious pickle they find themselves in. Under Poch, the club was on the rise, consistent top three league positions and a champions league final. This was despite the fact that the recruitment was generally appalling. The sack of Poch was a knee jerk reaction to a poor season start and the appointment of Jose Mourinho showed how poorly and hastily they accessed and apointed a replacement for Poch. The effect of Mourinho to any football club can be likened to taking a perfomance enhancing drug, it gives you an immediate boost (winning a league cup or possibly the league title) but once it begins to wear off the side effects are devastating (throwing away a health first leg lead to a team whose manager was in prison). The "Mourinho High" has definitely waned off and Tottenham are like Chickens in the middle of the express wondering why they crossed the road in the first place. Mourinho has to go but the same mistake must not be made with selecting a new manager. The players are getting impatient and are considering jumping ship.

That's because players have time to build a chemistry and they spend probably about 200 days together (maybe more) whereas on national teams players are not doing something like that, they are just together for a week or max two weeks and that's about it. Sure on national teams there is the chance that everyone is from the same nation and they usually speak the same language (sometimes some players are converted but that's rarer) so we are talking about basically a good chemistry because of nationality and language there but playing together is not equals to having fun together.

So, Clubs are better place for players to get together since they spend week in and week out playing 40+ games a year together, some of them like premier league clubs play nearly 60 games if they go too further ahead in champions league and FA cup as well, so it's going to of course be easier to play well together there.

Come on, that depends also from the money on the line. The guy would be very happy to sign a multi-million dollar contract anywhere else in Europe.
I do not think he is about to leave Tottenham anytime soon, but I would not rule out the possibility that he will go and play for a continental team.

It has been really unlucky for Tottenham for years. They are still not even close to winning a Premier League title. And it is obvious that they won't be able to succeed in doing it with Mourinho. Tottenham need a manager who really understands the capabilities of the players and makes them play a much more attacking football.

Tottenham needs a new manager. Mourinho has to go but the same mistake must not be made with selecting a new manager. Is this a good time to change manager? I think Tottenham are thinking the same thing. They recognise Jose Mourinho isn't a good fit for the club. They just might correct their mistake next season. I'm not saying Mourinho is a bad manager...he has achieved so much in his career but there's only so much you can do.

Its not that bad for Harry Kane as many pundits use to state because i am sure he thought it all well out when he signed up a 6 year long contract at spurs; i feel like Kane is comfortable being in Spurs and it is not likely he will leave. With Haaland in the market, who will pay 150m for a 28 year old Kane ? it remains to be seen who can afford him

Yeah I think you have a point there. Some players do better with teammates they are used to and comfortable with. They feed off each other more like a symbiotic relationship. Even the great Loinel Messi struggles in his national team and finds it hard to find the net. I don't believe he has won any trophy with his national team Argentina.
We never get the same Messi we see on Barcelona side with the Argentina team. This goes to show the importance of building chemistry with team mates.
