I assume that Manchester United would prefer Rashford in the attacking line against Manchester City. Ronaldo is still not more credible than Rashford these days. He is newly starting to have more chances in the starting eleven though. Erik ten Hag wouldn't like to prefer him in the starting eleven in this game I assume. Rashford's recent form has been very good and he deserves this. There has been a long time since they played their last Premier League game.

However I still don't expect this space to affect Rashford's concentration badly. Manchester United will need his productivity again just as he was very effective against Arsenal.

Rashford is very unstable, if he's in his top form, sure he can score a goal or two in the match. But sometimes, he couldn't score any goal even with good passing from midfielders. Does anyone here remember the 4-0 loss to Brentford? Rashford got a lot of bash after that match for losing plenty of good chances to score. Then match with Chelsea, Rashford scored 1 goal, match with Arsenal, he scored 2 goals. Yep, unreliable if ten Hag wants him to be the main goal maker. Yes the manchester derby is a tough test for Ten Hag, this match is the second big match after the london derby big match.
To be honest, I doubt Manchester United can win this match, but I'm more curious about the strategy Ten Hag will use.

Manchester City's current statistics are very good, especially Haaland, he has become a very scary player for the opposing team's defense.
