Well was I wrong. I did not find any news that said Rodri suffered an injury like the one you have discussed. Rodri's absence from the match against Arsenal was not due to injury but because of the punishment resulting from the red card he received. I think Manchester City only lost Kevin De Bruyne because he had a long injury recovery period.

It is quite appropriate that the absence of these two core players makes the balance of the Manchester City team unbalanced. I think Pep must be able to anticipate this in the upcoming matches because he needs a win to be able to compete with Arsenal at the top of the standings again.

Lack of De Brune in the squad have not been showing too much when they have been playing other teams but now that they face a big team like Arsenal, they have both miss out of the game with De Brune and Rodri. There have been many players who injured and i think that was a sense reason that was affecting the performance from manchester city. Some players like walker are old enough but this guy has capability in preventing opponent's winger from attacking the club.
City just needs to have some important players to comeback like de bruyne and rodri. Manchester city is still strong enough to win treble winners as long as the key players are going back to play with the squad.
The age was not the problem here. If we are analyzing the performance from the club and we would be able to see if there was not creative midfielder who can helping the attackers to build a proper attack.

Rashford has been known also as the most selfishness player in the club. you must also try to make differentiate between both. Rashford was a winger and hojlund was a striker. These guys are good in their positions. Hojlund has been helping manchester united so hard in UCL but his performance in UCL is still questionable at this moment. I don't even see great improvements happened toward him caused by his team mate like rashford was a selfish guy. He was not even willing to pass the ball to the hojlund.
Rashford needs to be benched for sometimes to make sure if he will be aware of his mistake. I would prefer ten hag to put garnacho in instead of rashford which was destroying the rythm of club.

Maybe Casemiro works so hard in training (unlike Sancho) that Ten Hag is happy, but he simply doesn’t have the energy left for games? 
I don’t know the reasons (I’m not inside the club) but I see the result and I know who is responsible for this result - the head coach. If your players degrade, it's your fault. Even Rashford has turned into a log this season. You can blame the players (which Ten Hag does all the time), but even if the players are to blame, it is his fault.

There's alot of blunders in Manchester united squad, from the goal keeper, André Onana to the frontline, this case can not be sorted out currently, it will definitely take time. Erik Ten Hag practice favoritism in his squad, choosing the players he likes and dumps the ones that do meet up but because they fall out of favour under him, he dropped them, this case has happen to Cristiano Ronaldo and now is Jadon Sancho. Erik Ten Hag is the man killing Manchester United slowly with his bad character towards his players. Casemiro is aged and have achieved major titles during his time in Real Madrid, playing for United is more like having extra time to enjoy football with the English side, not longer competent enough.

I think Man Utd needs a whole reorganisation of the team. Starting from the coach then to all of the players. Onana at goal is critical,Maguire im not even gonna comment. Midfield looks okay in attack they need better players. So many players getting removed from the squad and i think if they dont sack Ten Hag its gonna get critical

This is not the end for Manchester City and there is still a long way to go to finish in the EPL. And this season can still be said to be new and the two consecutive defeats experienced by Manchester City in the EPL are not a benchmark for their declining performance.
And what we have to remember is that Manchester City was able to achieve a winning streak of up to 13-14 and that will definitely happen again this season, and in my opinion is the only team that is very consistent. However, no team can run smoothly and always win all season and maybe two defeats can be said to be a good start for Manchester City's next game, and Guardiola will not let that happen and he is definitely planning something.

We can't rule out Rodri effect from Arsenal and Manchester City, but he is still suffering from the red card he had in their round 6 match they played with Nottingham Forest and sadly, he will not be available in their next match in the round 9 against Brighton, but maybe Manchester will be able to turn around things and still maintain their normal winning streak. I don't agree if the absence of Rodri and De Bruyne is the only cause of Manchester City's defeat, in fact they still have many other quality players such as Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden, Mateo Kovačić, and many others in the main line-up.

Manchester City's main problem in that match was that they failed to create many chances compared to Arsenal. The match statistics are almost the same, but Arsenal has more chances to score than Manchester City.

They would be an unprofessional club if they think after losing against Arsenal that they were missing key players and that their team was incomplete because they lost against Arsenal. Basically they didn't do well against Arsenal and they missed chances which is why they lost this match. 

De Bruyne, Rodri have been sidelined for a long time due to injuries and without them, Manchester City have won the rest of the matches and they have done very well in the Champions League as well. 

Instead of making excuses as to why they lost against Arsenal, they should focus on the upcoming matches so that they don't have any regrets about the upcoming matches.

Some people think that Manchester City is losing strength because it is currently experiencing decline in ranking which was originally able to be in first place and had to drop to 3rd place and suffered several defeats at the end.
Let go back to last season didn't we also experience something similar but when we reached the middle of the season until we neared the end of the season Manchester City really used all their strength to win first place again and emerge as champions.

Regarding players there are actually no problems with the line-up that they currently have and for young players Manchester City also has quite lot of young players so there is no need to worry too much about players.

We can't rule out Rodri effect from Arsenal and Manchester City, but he is still suffering from the red card he had in their round 6 match they played with Nottingham Forest and sadly, he will not be available in their next match in the round 9 against Brighton, but maybe Manchester will be able to turn around things and still maintain their normal winning streak. If Rodri were to be around, Martineli will not get that assistance from Havertz because he will be there.

De Bruyne absence can't be rule out as well, if the guy was available, Manchester City will not go home without a goal, Arsenal will concede in any form. Haaland was on the match but I didn't see him, he couldn't just process chances despite Alvarez and Foden efforts in that match.

Manchester City's squad was indeed incomplete when they lost to Arsenal, but should that be the main reason why Manchester City lost and failed to score? I don't agree if the absence of Rodri and De Bruyne is the only cause of Manchester City's defeat, in fact they still have many other quality players such as Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden, Mateo Kovačić, and many others in the main line-up.

Manchester City's main problem in that match was that they failed to create many chances compared to Arsenal. The match statistics are almost the same, but Arsenal has more chances to score than Manchester City.

They would be an unprofessional club if they think after losing against Arsenal that they were missing key players and that their team was incomplete because they lost against Arsenal. Basically they didn't do well against Arsenal and they missed chances which is why they lost this match. 

De Bruyne, Rodri have been sidelined for a long time due to injuries and without them, Manchester City have won the rest of the matches and they have done very well in the Champions League as well. 

Instead of making excuses as to why they lost against Arsenal, they should focus on the upcoming matches so that they don't have any regrets about the upcoming matches. 
Manchester City are a professional team so we can expect them to bounce back well.

I believe they will correct the errors in their next match to embrace victory that will make people to believe that they are good to return back to first position in the premier league table which is possible if their manager can make De Bruyne and Rodri available in their remaining matches. Despite, those two players De Bruyne and Rodri where not in the match to battle with Arsenal, and they still play with Arsenal as if they are all complete like the way all Arsenal potential players was on ground to battle with them. I know, that this season will going to be a tough season to many teams when they are approaching the middle of the tournament, but Manchester city will still get it right to lead the premier league till the end of the tournament.
