Although Manchester City is still in a situation with a difficult schedule, because Manchester City also still has to maintain its position at the top of the Premier League standings. Even though Chelsea currently has a ranking that is no better than Man United, but they have the potential to take 7th place from Man United because Chelsea has 1 match less than Man United and the difference in points between the two is only 3 points. In performance wise, I think Chelsea has had a better performance than Man United recently. In their last 8 matches, Chelsea have never lost and managed to collect 13 points. While Man United only managed to get 9 points because they only got 2 wins, 3 draws, and 3 defeats in their last 8 matches.

Even though Chelsea currently has the advantage of 1 remaining match that they have not played but that still does not necessarily mean it can be an advantage for them.
Currently Chelsea have just completed 31 weeks in the match and their points can still catch up with the club above them but for the remaining matches they have not played are also not easy matches because looking at the schedule that Chelsea will face at this time, for the remaining 7 matches now there are some pretty tough matches that could backfire for Chelsea themselves.
There are still Arsenal, Tottenham and Aston Villa that could be troublesome. In addition, some unexpected strengths in a match like West Ham and Brighton also still have to be beaten in this case so it is still quite difficult for Chelsea to get points even though at the moment they still have 1 match left compared to some clubs that are above them.

Chelsea did not need that last goal to win the game and in spite of the penalty being missed, the game was already won and the Everton players did not have any more strength left in them to win the game. The penalty would had been given to another player that is struggling to lift his confidence, Jackson should have played it.

Absolutely, we can't deny his undeniable talent and contribution to step up his club. He's definitely a rising star in football. However, it might be premature to label him as the best just yet; let's wait and see how he performs next season. We've seen many hyped-up players struggle with consistency in the past, so I just hope he can maintain his form.
As for Palmer's decision to take the penalty, it's his role as the designated penalty taker. Even though he was already on a hat-trick, it's his responsibility to take any penalty, regardless of his goal tally. Converting penalties isn't an easy task, but Palmer makes it look effortless, so he deserves our respect.

These type of weeks are exactly the reason why City has managed to win so many titles in the last decade. They are not doing anything extraordinary, they just managed to beat Luton Town, which is as ordinary and expected as it can get, nobody would have expected them to lose to Luton, so it was an expected win.

However, suddenly they are going to win the title, in a week they just simply beat Luton, how? They got a tie against Liverpool not long ago, they failed to win that, and then they got a tie against Arsenal too, failed to win that too, all very recently, but beat Luton and became leader, how? Simply because Liverpool and Arsenal managed to lose to teams that are far below their level and now they are chasing City.

I feel sad for Everton seriously. Any team can loose a game but the manner of this defeat is very worrisome. None of the players looked interested and certainly didn't look capable. There was no atom of confidence and self belief. I think the points deduction is really affecting this team badly. Things are just getting from bad to worse and the couch doesn't seem to have any idea any longer to rescue the team. The effects of point deduction is there couple with terrible squad but the work rate and effort is not there at all. Everton was once a wonderful team with wonderful fans and I believe they can get over this menace as soon as possible.

As for Chelsea, they put up a wonderful performance with an incredible scoreline. That is the kind of result you get when you play players at their appropriate position. Pottechino has a lot to learn from that match if he really cares. Caicedo played his best game yesterday because he was free. It simply means that Enzo and Caicedo is a mismatch formation. Jackson still has a lot to learn as regarding his decision making in the box.

By the way, Madueke and Jackson deserve to be punished for their childish attitude yesterday against Palmer. That was a sign that Pottechino failed to instill discipline in the team and the players have no respect for him. Very shameful from a team like Chelsea.

Everton who were saved with a point or two from being relegated last season, started off the season quite on a very high note but little did the know their high tempo will be calm by the FA with points deduction. Some points about 15-17 points have been deducted from them in total and that keeps them on the brink of the relegation zone again.
 
 ⁠This deduction of points has really eaten deep into the team’s morale but yet they still need to try to keep fighting as that’s what they have to do to still remain in England Top Flight League, the EPL next season. Their performance yesterday showed a team that’s already giving up slowly and that’s not the mentality they need at this point.

 ⁠Some major changes needs to be done especially by the coach to keep up the team’s fighting spirit. Though Chelsea too were pretty good with the ball and off the ball yesterday as ypu can see all the players played their roles very well and that’s one thing Poch should pick from. His formation yesterday was apt and I think going on with that formation, the team will sure be able to finish up in 6th or 7th.

 ⁠Using 2 of Enzo, Gallagher and Caicedo and using Palmer as a 10 is what’s needed rather than playing the 3 of the aforementioned players together as that makes the midfield stiff and not being fluid like it was yesterday. The penalty incident wAs a bit awful and I think the coach should be able to address that before it gets out of hand. The team should be seen helping Palmer get the Golden Boot and not seen doing that as you can Remember Sir Alex Ferguson always making sure the players help Ronaldo increase his goal tally.

Dont be clouded by the surprising performance of Chelsea yesterday. They are inconsistent with such performances, today they are at their peak and tomorrow at the depth. I was expecting them to win yesterday but no with so much goal pints ahead. Dont forget too that Everton is not as strong as you think, they are really terrible this season. A team with few players who are performing well what do you expect of them?

Also i dont know why people are so amazed with what Chelsea did last night. This season they are underdogs the only good thing they have done this season was to play a draw home and away against Manchester City, if not so they have done nothing to deserve an applaud.

It sounds incredible (considering the entire previous part of the season), but even this season Chelsea have real goals. If they win the game in hand they will move ahead of United into the European competition zone and have a good chance of ahead of Newcastle and into the Europa League rather than the Conference League. Yes, this is not the Champions League, but still better than nothing, much better.
At the moment, three contenders for two tickets have 50 points each (Chelsea has a game in hand), but United is a clear outsider as they have a significantly worse goal difference.

Yeah you are right I was also thinking the same thing because he had already scored some goals so letting others play the penalty would also improve their goal count however reasoning it in another perspective I think his plan was to boost his goal count because already has been scoring almost all their matches so he most have gone far on his goal count, however I love the unity Chelsea has because if it was some other club they would have been dragging penalty but since Chelsea knew that allowing him to play the penalty will be of a beneficial to him they had to allow him to play.

Yes, I also don't understand why Arsenal and Liverpool can lose against teams ranked lower than them in the Premier League. Even though this match is very important for Arsenal and Liverpool. The reason is, as a result of both experiencing defeat, Arsenal and Liverpool are now paving the way for Manchester City to become champions again in the Premier League. But even so, this season is still not over. So the competition for the top seats in the Premier League will continue. And of course Arsenal or Liverpool still have potential to overtake Manchester City.

Indeed, there was a fight over who would kick the penalty in that match. But the struggle occurred between Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson. But in the end Cole Palmer took the penalty kick because from the start Cole Palmer had been designated as Chelsea's main executor in taking the penalty. And actually, if Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson were allowed to argue and let one of them kick a penalty, there would be dissatisfaction between the two of them. From this landslide victory, we can see that Cole Palmer is truly Chelsea's best player this season. Palmer is a complete offensive mastermind and goal scorer. Chelsea can finally find a productive midfielder. In my opinion, Cole Palmer is the next Frank Lampard at Chelsea.

They might have played well when they met in the Premier League but this is FA Cup we are taking about here, it's going to be a battle of the bad land, expect Manchester City to drag them to floor this time around because they need the treble again.

Perhaps they might be good to trash the likes Arsenal, Tottenham but definitely Manchester City is our of their league this time around, when it was even Cole Palmer that has been making goals for them.
