Manchester City will of course do whatever they can in the remaining EPL league matches after being eliminated from the UCL league. So it's no wonder they were so fierce against Brighton, only in the first half they were already ahead by a goal. Of course, in the remaining time of the second half, Manchester City will add one more goal to increase their confidence that they are the strongest candidate to win the EPL league this season. Brighton itself did not do much statistically in this match. They also lost the first round. I don't think they can score against Manchester City until the end of the second half.


The Premier League is full of surprises and unexpectedness. Arsenal won 5-0 over Chelsea, while Liverpool seemed to have given up on the hunt for this year's EPL title. Now Arsenal are expected to win every remaining game, but I doubt they won't be able to do so. I don't think it's because they are bad, but the rest of Manchester City's games are easier than Arsenal's.

Man City might indeed be able to score one more goal in the second half to guarantee victory in today's match. And now the match has entered the 60th minute and I don't see Brighton improving their performance except a little. It's just that Brighton is now being more careful and Man City may have difficulty adding 1 goal in the second half at this time.

Arsenal does have more difficult remaining matches than Man City. And this really makes Arsenal a little doubtful at the end of this season. And it looks like what happened last season could happen again. Namely Man City overtook them at the end of the season.

I don't really think they will actually be thinking of it except City actually do dropped points because to their lost to Crystal Palace and draw to Manchester united sealed their fate, I overestimated them speaking about them being among title contenders whereas Arsenal is even doing alot better now than them. Though both teams are disappointing to me.

 Man city have proven without doubt that Brighton are no match for them and what a way to show it. Brighton started the game quite well, in fact would have opened the scoring with a Danny Welbeck shot in the 4th minutes had it been packed with power. In the course of the game, city found their rhythm and started taking control and Brighton lost control over the game when KDB scored the first goal. One annoying thing Brighton kept on doing was building from the back, knowing fully well that that's not their strong suit. When playing against a team like man city, there's no room for mistake of leaving your defense open because you'd get punished for it.
I don't see Brighton coming back from this loss and if anything Man city will look to add more goals so arsenal should just hope that man city lose their next game if they want a chance at the title.

I think Foden might just be the best player of the season for City or maybe not but he might just be the April player of the  month.

Manchester City is destroying Brighiton away from home and is back at the top of the Premier League, making up for the missing match from months ago.

Yep. Man City defeated Brighton with 4 goals. Man City really dominated the match and give no chance for Brighton to score goals. With another 3 points, Man City has 76 points now, they are in 2nd place of EPL standings. But Man City has 1 unplayed match, they will return to the top of EPL standings if they win the unplayed match. It won't be easy to win the unplayed match because they will play against Tottenham. The match will be held in Tottenham, too. It is the advantage of Tottenham players.

By the way, I think it is no problem that Guardiola praises De Zerbi. He is a talented coach, he has an interesting style in managing a football team. I agree with Guardiola that De Zerbi can be a successful coach in the future and he even can be the candidate of Man City coach in the future. However, the level of De Zerbi and Guardiola are quite different now. Guardiola is on another level of a modern coach.

No, it’s not possible. How do you even think Manchester City will lose their match at this moment? I know the Premier League is unpredictable, and I know anything can happen at any moment, but I know Manchester will do everything possible to win the match. If they can lose to Brighton, it’s obvious that Arsenal will be winning the Premier League this season, and Manchester City won’t want that to happen. The match is over and it was a brilliant performance from Manchester city, who was able to show their eagerness of lifting up the trophy by winning 4-0 to put them back on top of the table. Dr Bruyne header was a super one, today's goal made it 102 goals that he has scored for Manchester city, as he opened the scoreline.

Alvarez was able to wake up from his sleep by scoring the last goal for City, which was his first goal after he had an injury in January. There are still 5 matches left, and will Manchester city be able to win all their matches, because if they do it means that there will be no hope for Arsenal which will be very devastating.

I don't think I like the word manage in your post, did they suffer to score all these four goals tonight? They dealt with Brighton who tried to prove stubborn you see.
They had a nice build up from behind but wasn't able to link those passes pass the midfielder's. The combination of Rodri and Kovacic made sure of that tonight.

That was a great flying header for Kevin De Bruyne. He has scored different types of goals in the Premier League Competition but that was his first ever goals scored with the head. ( That goal made me reminiscing about that goal scored by Van Persie in the World Cup Competition against Spain. )

Great night for Phil Foden yet again, having his best season so far. That should be either 16 or 17 goals already. Top lad, he should make his way into the squad to be called up for the Euro's.

Manchester City are continuing to do what they know how to do best,they know how to maintain a winning run at the end of seasons,and that is what they are doing now.I knew very well that the game against Briton will be an easy one for them.At this point,they don't want to lose point,because they want to maintain that lead and win the league.Arsenal are currently topping them with a point,and this happens because City have an outstanding match that they haven't played.
But what really makes me happy is because City still have Spurs to play as well as Arsenal,but Arsenal have record against Spurs,they know how to win them,while Spurs knows how to win City,and the highest city can get in that game is a draw.So if Arsenal can win all their games,and City draw Spurs,the gunners will top with goals

An easy victory for Manchester City in this match because with 3 goals in the first half, it has actually proven that Manchester City will be very comfortable playing in the second half and it really happened.

Brighton could not do much when facing Manchester City's determination in this match because after all, seeing the possession of the ball and the confidence that was really seen in this match made De Zerbi have difficulty developing Brighton's game.

With this result Mancehster City returned to approach Arsenal with 1 match remaining which of course it will be very favorable for them.
The end of the season in the end remains the same where Manchester City and Arsenal are the ones who are back in contention considering Liverpool are currently hopeless to be able to compete after some poor results in their last 5 matches.

It looks like Manchester City is the most favored team to win the league,they have one game less and one point less than Arsenal,I doubt they will be losing that extra game which translates to losing the title if they don't win it.Tonight was an impressive show put by Manchester City as they easily destroyed Brighton 0-4 in Brighton stadium.Arsenal destroyed Chelsea too but they were playing at home in a derby game where the rivalry is hot,I think the only thing to decide the title remains that extra game for City as I don't think Arsenal will make any errors.So for the title it will all depend from it as for Liverpool they condemned themselves yesterday night by not being able to win their eternal rivalry derby against Everton.

Yesterday proves why Manchester City are champions of the EPL and would likely stay that way. A league that had a very competitive top 3 and you suddenly find Liverpool making the mistake of losing to a team that is battling relegation like Everton. I guess that makes Everton’s taste for a win more dangerous but, the close Liverpool are to top the league is a drive for them to be more competitive and they’ve already lost out of the Europa to give them more focus on the league.

Manchester City is already beating Brighton Hove Albion by 3 goals to nothing, another step closer to the trophy.

I think the Manchester City coach needss to be respected because his team can't afford to make the kind of mistakes there both Arsenal and Liverpool has made lately even as they are closed to ending the fight they all started for a long time now as league contenders, first it was Liverpool losing against Crystal Palace and Arsenal also losing against Aston Villa giving Manchester City an edge over them and yesterday Liverpool lost again after having all the concentration they needed since the three teams contending for the Premier League lost out in the European competitions to but yet Liverpool got defeated against the struggling team like Everton and right now they are out of the title race.

It's FT Brighton 0:4 Manchester City and City is back in the second place with 76 points and a game in hand which if they win they will go back on top of the table and Arsenal will be back to second place with City gapping them with 2 points with 4 matches to play, I think this league has already been decided and the winners know themselves already.

I saw that coming. It is the same as last season when Manchester City accelerated towards the end of the season and kept winning for as long as it was necessary to win the Premier League title. This wasn't coming out of the blue. They won't let Arsenal develop an advantage and I think Guardiola will tell his team to not even stop when they have a 3 goal lead. Eventually, the goal difference could play an important role and become the decider. Arsenal is +8 vs. Manchester City and played one more game. But I can see how Arteta is already having bad dreams about Arsenal missing another title right before the finish line.

Liverpool messed up the opportunity to remain in the race because they didn't have what it took to keep winning games unlike what Manchester City are showing going on to put up a very strong performance against Brighton that started very confidently at home. With this kind of performance Manchester City players will begin to think within them that they are capable enough to go on winning all their remaining games to carry the Premier League for the fourth time in a row, they should manage their confidence, so it does not turn to overconfidence that can lead them to failure.

I don't think the Premier League this time will be determined by goals because it's clear Arsenal are superior, I feel Manchester City just want to need points even if it only wins 1-0 in the next match it doesn't matter the Gunners will win 5-0 again it means nothing unless Man City draws then the Gunners' chances will struggle even more.

I feel that Arsenal will not be left alone,, Pep Guardiola only needs to survive and demand all matches to be won, it is not impossible for him.

Man City made Brighton less helpless in the first half. Ending the first half with a score of 0-3 really makes us even more amazed by the performance that Man City has every season. And in this match, no one would have guessed that Man City could score so many goals in the first half at  Brighton home. And this makes Man City always exceed what we expect from them. and currently Liverpool seems to be slowly starting to abandon the race to the top. Because the difference in points between Liverpool and Arsenal and Man City is also increasing. Liverpool's defeat by Everton was a heavy blow for Liverpool.

And the match ended with 4 goals to nil. All the leagues in this season is tough and clubs are winning with 4-0 to 6-0. Teams that were week also rising with 5-0. From the beginning football club march, Man City always played more than Brighton so I am not surprised to see them winning Brighton with such magnificent goals. Liverpool was defeated by Everton? Wow! I didn't watch the match so no idea. Everton that was beating by Chelsea mercilessly defeating Liverpool who beaten Man City Mercilessly last year. One thing I noticed from football is man power before even luck. It the players are good then the team is galant.

Arsenal fans are not happy with the outcome of this match, they expected Brighton to at least share points with City, but unfortunately, some of their players were injured which became an advantage to Manchester City and they used it perfectly.

As the Premier League title stands now, Arsenal still lead the table with one points ahead of Manchester City that is still having one match at hand to play before they level up in the number of matches they both played.

Just as you said, Tottenham will be a tough opponent to Arsenal and Manchester City, if Tottenham is able to beat or draw Man city and Arsenal is able to defeat them, then it will be a chance for Arsenal even though they still Manchester United to play.

Brighton is one of the most dumb clubs have seen from the way they play, who makes passes close to the goal post, Brighton are always making the same mistakes is not as if they are not good but they keep playing the same game in every game.  And that is why they were beaten by Manchester City, they don't want to always improve there coach is very poor in management. And that is why they are always beating by every club, and I was even expecting more goals, from the city, I just feel like Manchester city were tired of scoring more goals if not the pressure was actually much on them.

And when the season began they were actually playing very well just wondering what happened along the line. There heat went cold. All of a sudden.
