This has always been my point of view that regardless of how weak a team may appear, underestimating them is actually a big mistake any other team can make both the fans aswell, underestimating a team will only get them disappointed if it eventually gets to turn around against them, because at times we can't be really sure of the exact outcome of games even if they appear better than the other team by almost all measures.

Manchester city is very much aware of how much damage it could cause them I'd they get to loose any game at this point so they literally have to make sure they are able to stay in form and win all their remaining there game so they will be able to maintain the chances of getting an opportunity to winning the trophy if one eventually avails itself so it's more like Manchester city needs winning for better positioning.

But for Tottenham I think it's still not certain because even though they currently have a 4-point advantage over Newcastle and 6 points from Chelsea but if their performance remains the same as in the last 4 matches then indeed in the remaining matches they could be displaced and knocked out of position in the Europa League zone.

Tottenham have three matches remaining for them, against Burnley, Man City and Sheff Utd. My estimate is that they will likely lose all three matches or win only Sheff Utd which still mean they will neither catch Aston Villa for the champions league spot neither will they be able prevent Newcastle from taking the Europa league spot if Newcastle is able to win their remaining three matches.

If they want to establish themselves in this zone at least they must be able to win at least once and draw 1 time in the remaining 3 matches so that in the end even if Chelsea can continue to win in the remaining matches Tottenham are not displaced from their position in the Europa League zone because although Chelsea are unpredictable but in the end they could have made a breakthrough by successfully getting full points in the rest of their current matches.

Chelsea is not the main threat of Tottenham in the Europa league spot, their real threat is Newcastle. I agree that Manchester City would not lose to Fulham or Westham United, but I'm not certain that Manchester City will beat Tottenham in the Premier League. Recently, Manchester City has been finding it difficult to beat Tottenham in their Premier League matches; even this season, Manchester City and Tottenham played a 2-2 draw at Etihad Stadium. I expect Tottenham to be a tough opponent for Manchester City, even if Tottenham is not performing well now.

Currently, Tottenham Hotspur not performing well after losing four matches in a row and I doubt with Spurs opportunity will stop the winning trend of Manchester City.
Based on the matches left, Manchester City has advantage for returning to first standings position on middle week behind their postponed match against Tottenham Hotspur. I think interested with Premier League race if Manchester City win against Fulham and few days later beat Tottenham Hotspur will has two points remaining from Arsenal.

Manchester City playing with Fulham won't be a difficult game for Manchester City even if the game is an away game for Manchester City. Looking at the performance of Fulham this season it very clear that they are not very tough to challenge Manchester City.  The remaining games that is left for Manchester City I  doubt if it will be difficult for Manchester City. Tottenham would have been the team to give Manchester City tough time but Tottenhams performance is not impressive and i don't think it will be possible for them to defeat or play draw with Manchester City.
