Mathematically, Aston Villa still has a chance to appear in the Champions League and they were lucky they didn't lose last night against Liverpool. Now the competition is so open between Aston Villa and Spurs where the two teams will fight for a champions league place with a very small difference in points.

Being able to draw with Liverpool is indeed quite a satisfying result for Aston Villa, because after all Liverpool is not a weak team.
