I can't stop laughing at this Super Sunday game between ChelseavsMan City, like what in God's name is Jackson doing on that pitch? Is it not better for Chelsea to play with 10 men than having him (Jackson) running and making a mess of himself, even if the ball was an offside call he can't convert it, is a shame. Honestly the guy is not fit to be the striker of Chelsea and it pains me that Enzo Maresca knows all these things but always have him start this particular game. What happened to Broja? Bring him back to the senior team. At least he can do better than this runner Jackson.

If I count correctly then Jackson missed three golden chance, one was an off-side trap, he was careless to stay alert. Imagine someone else in his position with the same opportunity. Chelsea wants to start the year very well since it is at home and they want to beat Manchester City. It will not be easy, they know that too, but there will be a battle of moves with the new players and the new manager. We will watch a tactical battle between Enzo and Guardiola. In addition, Enzo Maresca also needs time to adapt in his first season, this will be a very difficult opening match for Chelsea, but they still cannot be underestimated. As a neutral, I won't mind a high scoring draw. Helps the other teams to have a headstart over City and Chelsea. If you support Arsenal or United or Liverpool, I know you are rooting for a draw as well.

It's very obvious that if Maresca is the next potter. And we sacked Pochettino to completely destroy the club. Chelsea looked much much better under Poch and even when Poch did not had a full fit squad last season.

And the worst part is, when we see the fact that if Enzo can't even play in any positions. He can't play as number 10, 8 or 6. We wasted 90 million to get a horrible talent like him. Whenever Enzo F played for us, we lost.

Gallagher is 10 times better than Enzo F. I prefer to keep Gallagher, but we got scammed by buying Enzo for a silly price.

This is not what is expected from Chelsea this season after bringing in almost 12 players this season, trying is not a 3 point they have nothing to show for the money that was spent so far, yes they managed to conceed two goals but they wasted a lot of chances that would have resulted to goals if well converted knowing that they are playing against a much better team that takes every little chance to punish her opponents. Based on your opinion, next match is not far again for you to see if Chelsea will get better but I think the team needs to get a good striker to keep the attack very active.

Chelsea started the season in a bad way. They were very active in the transfer window but strangely they made no effort to sign a classy striker. Their attack was actually quite good, but that wasn't matched by a neat finishing touch. If they only rely on Nicolas Jackson then it will cause their front line to become bogged down. Last season they were really lucky to have Cole Palmer but it seems like many people are wary of him this season, so I think it will no longer be easy for Cole Palmer to move and score goals.

I wouldn't want to sound pathetic but trust me watching Chelsea play today was something I didn't enjoy a bit, I wish it were possible I would want to unwatch the game 😂. Now taking a lean backwards a little and look in to all the earlier activities through out the period before the new season started.

Chelsea was very active in the transfer window so much that one would say they have got their shit figured out but sadly they appear even worse by their today performance, I have been wondering how they played with such unorganized and tensed pressure, they weren't having a definite pattern on the pitch, at some point it felt like Manchester city was trying to prevent too many collisions so they don't record Injuries already on the first day of playing this season in the premier league, so far all I can say is that Chelsea has got a whole lot of work to do.

I expected Manchester United to win easily in the first match of the season, but that didn't really happen. Manchester United had to fight hard to score goals, but I was grateful because in the end one goal from the new striker made Manchester United win. This is Joshua Zirkzee's first goal for Manchester United in an official match, I hope Ten Hag can give him more time to help the team win the next match.

Joshua Zirkzee scored a goal in his debut match, it was truly a wish come true for him. Ten Hag needs to consider playing Joshua Zirkzee as the main striker when Rasmus Højlund is injured, that's better in my opinion than playing Bruno as a striker.

I think Joshua Zirkzee not starting the match was a sharpness issue, rather than a tactical decision. Zirkzee had a decent preseason, and after having a good entry in the first match, I think it's not too far away till we see Zirkzee in the starting XI, and dominating the attack with the help of Bruno, Mount and Amad. Hojlund's return should make the attack even more lightning.

Well, about the slow start of Man United, this portrays what Erik Ten Hag said earlier in the press, "The team is not ready, but the season starts." We now see what's wrong with the squad and why ETH has skeptical about the rather smaller preseason. We know Fulham is a good team, so they deserve some props here too. But given the squad Manchester United now has, it's okay for us to expect a lot too. Ten Hag demands more, but he also is responsible for fielding a proper XI, who will serve to their proper roles.

Not too long till Man United faces their lifelong rivals, Liverpool. I think September 1 awaits a match which tells us which Dutchman is the better. Chelsea indeed fought very well in that match. In fact, I think their performance is not that bad. Losing by 2 goals without reply by Man City is normal considering that Man City has been the strongest club in the Premier League in the last few seasons. Meanwhile, Chelsea, which is full of young players, is just a club that is trying to get back on its feet. Because on the other hand, Chelsea is a club that has been in decline for several seasons. And I think Chelsea in this match can also match Man City. It's just that Chelsea's defense is not as good as Man City's. Interesting, Pep is back to implementing the system that has always been his mainstay. Usually Pep plays a 4-2-3-1 pattern, but it seems there is a change in the first match of Manchester City vs Chelsea. maybe, he wants to see the performance of his team especially for the duet of Mateo Kovacic and Rico Lewis. because, if Rodri is not injured he will be played with John Stones. besides, Pep rotated the positions of Savinho and Jeremy Doku in this match. who knows what Pep is planning, but his team is doing their job very well. 0-2 victory for City, I assume City will perform much better in the next matches. in the home camp, Chelsea had to be defeated by Manchester City. naturally, City is much more solid because their game has been very formed. while Chelsea, Maresca maybe he needs more time so that his team is able to play as he expects. plus the role of a striker who is indeed hungry for goals is Chelsea's need, Nicolas Jackson has not been able to play as the team needs in terms of scoring goals. unfortunately, he got injured and was replaced by Marc Guiu. While Chelsea and West Ham both had disappointing results. I have been discuss several times regarding Chelsea transfer behaviour because what i do not understand is why they bought so many young players which mostly those players is not the key players from their previous clubs because i think this transfer is very risky and in my opinion what Chelsea needed is several experience players who potentially can make Chelsea to performing better but unfortunately Chelsea looks didn't learn from their mistakes and still do the same thing just like they did last season

About Gallagher his matches statistics for last season is much better compared to Enzo Fernandez even i have to says he is Chelsea key player who successfully to lifted up Chelsea performance and Chelsea should be hold him and they had to grant Gallagher's request with extended his contract i think this is much better rather than sell him and bought new midfielder player

Maresca conceding just two goals from his former boss, who happens to be the best manager in the premier league for years now, I think he tried his best, by motivating his boys to give their best. The truth is, whether you work under pep or not, it does not give any manager the guarantee of defeating him. We've seen how difficult it was for arteta to crack the code(but not fully cracked). Pep is absolutely genius, so I will give massive credits to maresca for today's game. Let's see how they will perform against other teams(maybe the newly promoted sides), then we will know their level of improvement.

But, considering the fact that Rodri didn't feature in the game, I was actually expecting Chelsea to dominate and use the midfield to their advantage. But it's quite unfortunate for them, as Kovacic decided to put in a good display today.

Jackson has so far missed some good scoring opportunities and it is not going to help them that much. When you are playing against Manchester City you have to convert every single opportunity that comes your way, because you are not guarantee of many. Another thing is that Enzo Fernandez is going down too easily in Manchester City box, it looks like he is looking for penalty. Because of this he is missing some good scoring opportunities too. If Halland had gone down that easily he wouldn't have scored the opening goal. Chelsea have to rise to the occasion in the second half and be more clinical with their finishes. Jackson should be drop as soon as the second half starts if not they won't score in this game.

I think many of the Blues supporters would prefer to see goals rather than "they tried". Believe you me, Enzo Maresca didn't learn anything as an assistant under Pep Guardiola because if he had, he'd know the kind of person hes playing against. Imagine making costly mistakes when you have your chances to level or win the game but you chose to be wasteful, knowing fully well that if they (Man City) get the chance, they will strike, but no, you kept on feeling you could comeback because you are at home and it's difficult to lose at the Stamford bridge.
 Another person Chelsea should have sold off instead of Gallagher was Nicolas Jackson because that guy is a total waste of money.
How can a striker not know when to make his runs? Always entering offside and when he has managed to get onside, he misses stupidly? Shit, Chelsea need to buckle up if not with the impatient nature of Todd, Maresca should get ready to be shown the door sooner than later.
