The first half is over and Manchester United are 2 goals up so I think we don't need to look at the shortcomings but instead we look at the other side, it is clear that Ten Hag has changed the tactics of this team's game and Manchester United played much more effectively without much possession but they were able to create chances and even scored two goals.

In the second half Manchester United must be able to maintain their lead and indeed we can also see that Southampton's performance is not that good so there is nothing dangerous for Man United to be able to maintain their lead.
The Man United team is being hit by a lot of criticism at the start of this season so they need a win to be able to revive the mentality of this squad.

The first half is over, Man United finally managed to take the lead. If you look at Man United's game in the first half, they managed to score goals from dead ball schemes, and both goals involved De Ligt, so Manchester United could lead 2-0. In the second half I think they will play more relaxed because leading by two goals of course it will be easy for Man United to maintain their lead.

My conclusion in the first half Man United was not very good at trying to score goals with open play, this is a fact. but Southampton in the first half was also not clinical in taking advantage of their opportunities, and this is what distinguishes the two teams Man United is clinical, Southampton is not. But interestingly, Marcus Rashford finally scored again after 189 days without scoring. This is Rashford's first goal for Man United since last March.

It was quickly how the game changed in the first half from Southampton having the highest position in the first 25 minutes to Manchester United taking the lead with 2 goals to nothing before the end of the first half. The first 25 minutes were hell for Dalot since there was more defending in his wings. It was frustrating that he had to commit a penalty. The much load to guarantee a successful career is not dependent on the coach or owners of the club but rather the output from each and every player on that team. In my own opinion, the owners are cleared, slightly for the coach but the players are required to carry all burdens.

In my opinion the owners make bad decisions. In the past when they hired Mourinho, they could have kept Mourinho for many years, but they fired him. Now they have Ten Hag who even though he is making decisions based on emotions and not logic, the owners continue to keep him. I mentioned about the case of Cristiano Ronaldo that when he criticized Manchester United, the owners fired Ronaldo when they should have fired Ten Hag. Now there is another controversy involving Ten Hag.

This is a game where Liverpool will be playing against an opponent they can beat. Liverpool are on a 3-game winning streak and have the best defence in the league at the moment, they haven't conceded a goal. While their opponents have only won 1 game in their last 3 games and are not a team that scores many goals and also don't have a very strong defence, although they haven't conceded many goals. Liverpool have the following injured player: Harvey Elliott. Nottingham Forest have the following injured player: Willy Boly.

I do not see any serious match today as the big teams are playing people they should easily win. Southampton against Manchester United is just an encounter between two struggling teams with one having little advantage over the other. This match may be a very serious test for Erik Ten Hag who have been under fire for the woes of United this season. Southampton is a pretty soft team that have been on losing streak since being promoted to the premiership, so if United fails to win them, it may not be funny for Ten Hag as that may be seen as a red line he must not cross. Southampton, on the other hand, might want to use this match to record their first win which will be a huge motivation for them as they progress into the season.

Manchester United game will definitely be a great one without a doubt. I think it's clear that we are going to see United end up winning, while they are considered not a good team and have issues, they are still good enough to beat Southampton anyway. I am not saying they WILL win but United is doing fine enough that they are favourites. Also, this season is a totally new one, and we just had three games so far, maybe we will just do fine and end up with more wins later on.

I think the best thing to do would be just making sure that we bet on what we know. I will bet on United to win, because I know them and I know that they can, and yeah of course sometimes I will be wrong and maybe this is one of those times but I am willing to take the risk for this game.

I didn't see Man United having a good chance throughout the first half, except for one goal scored by De Ligt, and on the contrary, their left side is too easily exposed, and that became space for Southampton to penetrate. The left side needs some improvement, otherwise they could concede a goal from an attack that starts from that side. Man United do not have many options, but perhaps they could try to replace Dalot with Martinez, while at center-back Maguire fills that position.

We never see this coming but Southampton too are not better than Manchester United and it was going to be easy for Manchester United to defeat them, and if archer have scored that penalty it would have been very easy, and for a very long time am surprised to see onana save a penalty because his part of the worst goal keep i have seen and maybe this will be different in the future, and if archer had scored that penalty they would have dragging to equalize Manchester United by now, the game is already coming to an end and the defense is already to tight for Southampton to make up.

  They changed archer to bring in ross and their were a lot if changes to see if they can change the game, but nothing changed, Manchester United is already at the disadvantage and when they were supposed to be fighting what did they do nothing and when the game is now ending that they are trying and all creativity is not working for them and they would have even accepted their lost just they just have to continue playing thats the rule if not they would have requested for the game to be stopped, but they must play to the end even from the beginning I don't see  Southampton going far in the Premier League it is normal for them.

Manchester United played a great game in today's match, as weak as they thought they were, today they showed their strongest performance. southampton have been playing brilliantly at home and they have already managed to score two goals, 2 goals before half time they are definitely on the brink of victory for man united today. However, after halftime, I can see the game between the two teams being a battle between the two teams. If Manchester United cannot suppress their defenses strongly, then maybe Southampton can equalize the game. However at the moment both teams have equal possession of the ball and both teams are attacking the opposition but in this match I think United will win comfortably.

The break was blessing for the Manchester United as they are having good change of fortune and performance which give them huge success on road, and they are able to have 3 points and clean sheet which give them good booster in coming matches because in few early games they were terrible and face humiliating defeats, but now things are looking pretty good.

In first game, we have good resistance from the Southampton, but things were completely favourable for the Manchester United, and they ended their first half with 0–2 now home team is having four defeats from their first four games of this season.

Manchester United having good time as host club have missed penalty and then red card for their captain Stephens Manchester United deserve this win even still they needed some improvement.

I’m happy that the international break is over and the premier league has returned this weekend. It was so boring during the break. Manchester United kicked off the weekend fixtures with a 2nil win over Southampton.

Here’s my predictions for the other games coming up:

• Liverpool should win at home against Nottingham Forest.
• Manchester City vs Brentford is another interesting fixture because both teams have a history. I think Manchester City will win this fixture because they are in top form currently.
  
• Westham is likely to secure a win against Fulham.
  
• Both teams to score in Crystal Palace vs Leicester.
• Brighton to win against Ipswich.
• Aston villa win against Everton.

I think the players have decided to motivate themselves in order to win this match because the pressure on them is increasing. Onana save motivated the players and they took advantage of that and turned the game around to score two goals. On the other hand Archer penalty lost demoralized his men and they bevame weak because they couldn't take the lead amd that afffected their performance giving Manchester united total control of the match. Finally, M.United got all three points.

This win will definitely be a huge relief for Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag who's been heavily criticized in recent weeks for his poor start to the season. Scoring 3 goals and getting a clean sheet at St Mary's isn't an easy job so I commend the Dutchman for the impressive performance of his team today.
There's still so many English Premier League games to watch today and I hope they will be as entertaining as the first match of the weekend

You see, the thing with football is that you must learn to take your chances. When you fail to take/convert every given chances, you might end up paying for it as your opponent will find ways to punish you for it. When I saw the penalty that was awarded to Southampton, I was quite confident that the game might likely end in a draw, but unfortunately, Onana made a save. Surprisingly, Southampton had better possession throughout first half, and beginning of the second half, but United chooses to be clinical today, thereby converting their available chances. Well, congrats again. I will look forward to game week 5.

Wow..you made a wrong choice because your beg went against you. I don't bet on any Manchester united match because they are unpredictable, you might think that they will not win the match but later win it. I was not also expecting to see them victorious in this match but I am not surprised because Southampton is a weak team who just came out from relegation.

I believe Ten Hag will take his next match serious and keep the winning going or would be lose his next match. Let it not be that he will win one match and lose two. Good performance from the players to secure three points with three goals.

To be honest, previously I doubted that Manchester United would win over Southampton today, but what we saw in today match they really deserved 3 points, I personally didn't see the goal process that occurred in the first half because I watched the match when second half started, however From the existing statistics, it actually shows that from the start of the match they seemed to be able to dominate over Southampton, Manchester United performance in the second half was quite good and they were able to continue to put pressure on Southampton defense

I think luck for Southampton because they have Ramsdale in the match who was able to thwart many of Manchester United chances, Ramsdale appeared quite impressive in his first match today with Southampton  although they ended up losing in the match, Onana was man of the match in the match today and as far as I remember it is very rare for Onana to perform well in every Manchester United match, I hope he can maintain his performance in the match next match.

Honestly today's match is a must win one for Man Utd to ease pressure on Erik ten Hag any thing short of a win is a clear indication that his job is at stake, the match is ongoing now and it's obvious Southampton is a lowly rated side thus the odds on Man Utd to secure a maximum 3 points today if they wanted to put their title bid back on track after a dismal first 3 matches else Man City would continue to widen the gap and consolidate their lead, I think Man Utd needed to up their game now to catch up with their city rival and give them a run of their money based on some decent new signings by the club last summer.

It's beautiful to note that Manchester United finally won against Southampton. With this win Manchester United had over Southampton, Ten Hag's stay as Manchester United coach has increased a bit because fingers are being pointed at him to be among the coaches that will be sacked from the PL based on the poor performance of the team they manage. However, the mission to sack Ten Hag is not forgotten or over yet because any more match losses of Manchester United can force the Manchester United management to do the otherwise to sack Ten Hag. Ten Hag knows that I think he will do anything within his might to get Manchester United players to their best form to win matches as expected of them, not to lose matches

Haaland just scored his 98th premier League goal in the first half against Brentford,  Manchester City isn't possessive enough so far but it's really important they got this balance so they wouldn't be under much pressure but I still believe this game is going to end in their favor, there have been several goal attempts by Brentford much more than Manchester City.

The games is almost getting to half time and so far I think we may not see another goal till the second half of the game because the pressure seems to be more in Manchester City and they are yet to completely balance the game so they start getting more goals .

Thank you Haaland. you are really a great young player. now I can be more at ease with my betting. Haaland managed to score 1 goal in the 19th minute which made the current score 1-1. And I think there will be a lot of goals in this match. But talking about Haaland, it looks like this player will again maintain himself as the top scorer this season. Because with 1 goal today, that means Haaland has scored 8 goals, right? and that was done in just 4 matches.
