What are UNO folks learning about their long captured Cryptsy UNO?
|
Still rare, still fair, it's Unobtanium.

The Cryptsy cold wallet has been moved to a wallet at Bittrex. This is EXTREMELY suspicious, since Cryptsy is in receivership with assets frozen. We know that this UNO belongs to investors, and I know some of them. This wallet has not moved since 12 January, 2016, until today. It is completely unexpected that the entire UNO cold wallet at Cryptsy should move to Bittrex on a Sunday night, without some word from the court or Cryptsy. The old address was: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/uno/address.dws?ucVxMWGddgNDr9oysnqc5dU8bZmhpq3xTs.htmThe new address is: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/uno/address.dws?205679.htmHere is the distribution of wallets on Bittrex at this moment: The largest Bittrex wallet is new, today, and cointains the UNO that was previously in the Cryptsy UNO cold wallet. Just follow the blockchain transactions. Clearly the wallet is being liquidated without thought of price, instead of maximizing the value of the asset. Big Vern is rumored to be in China. He he could easily have the private keys and could be taking it. The alleged hacker(s) could also have the private keys. In any event, it really should be looked at hard by Bittrex. I reached out to Bittrex support and explained the situation, and have asked them to FREEZE that #1 wallet due to the facts surrounding it. No word yet, but Bittrex has always done right by UNO. I hope we can get their attention in time. I hope there is a good explanation for this and that the funds will ultimately be safe, but I think we're justified as a community to sound an alarm and to ask Bittrex to take a hard look at this situation, and investigate the owner of that Bittrex wallet. --- Updates here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=527500.msg14495624#msg14495624and here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=527500.msg14501537#msg14501537

I want to see this UNO returned to the owners. There's only so much we can do. It's in Bittrex' hands. Get your low buy orders up. If its gonna dump, might as well come to us.
I'll take another 1k at 003, and hundreds more in the 004's.

These coins shouldn't come to market in this way. I hope bittrex can verify the owner of that account. These coins should be under control of Mr. Sallah and they likely aren't right now. If bittrex doesn't react we could take it a step further and contact Mr. Sallah? When the authorities order the account to be frozen they'll certainly listen. Hope bittrex does react apropriately and quick.

Hope bittrex does react apropriately and quick. We already know that Mr. Sallah should have moved ALL cryptocurrency assets to new addresses. The fact that he hasn't suggests either a) he is unable to, or b) he is getting poor advice. As it is, UNO has been sitting for months at an address that could easily be controlled by BigVern & possibly the "hacker" if there is any hacker. I have confidence in Bittrex that when this comes to their attention, and after 10 seconds of analyzing the blockchain evidence, they will do the right thing. This is a total KYC issue here. They cannot afford to delay. If it was court ordered, then fine, I totally accept that. But that doesn't mean that Sallah has NOT been incompetent in his handling of Cryptsy's assets.

To your point, I will be glad to try and place calls to Mr. Sallah, #Cryptsy asset administrator.
Do we have any information on him? Where he is based? Can someone doxx him tonight?

In this long & wild ride this is the craziest development yet. They could have moved the funds to another wallet then gradually dispersed them through shapeshift & our many exchanges, even storing some long-term in brain wallets. Instead they move it all in one gigantic boulder straight to Bittrex where we are given complete confirmation by their distribution information. LOL. This criminal does not give a fuck!
Learnminer that gif was absolutely perfect!
I seriously hope Bittrex freezes the funds immediately. Any response from them F.K.?
We won't be able to talk to the attorney or judge for 11 hours at least.
Edit: I too sent Bittrex a support e-mail warning them of the situation, just to be sure.

The dumping probably wasn't even due directly to the Cryptsy coins. It's at 15,077 now, & the Cryptsy wallet was 15,072, so they haven't sold any & I guess the thief already had a Bittrex account with 5 UNO in it. Maybe somebody else dumped since all other alts were dropping today &/or they saw the Cryptsy funds moved to Bittrex.
Congrats to the lucky individuals who got UNO at 0.0043-0.006. I guess I'll move some more bitcoin there until this is resolved, this thief is clearly reckless, if he sells it down to 1 satoshi & I had no buy orders up I'd be upset.

shapeshift down at mo. A large amount of DGB has appeared on Bittrex today apparently and I'm wondering if this could be more of the same.

Did DGB have a large amount of funds locked in Cryptsy? Were you able to trace it through the blockchain? Have you contacted Bittrex? Whether it was Vern, a Cryptsy employee, the hacker (if there ever was a hacker) or someone in the judicial system, this is a huge development. What's taking Bittrex so long? Edit: Bittrex responded to my e-mail, it only took them 18 minutes. They said "We are aware of the situation. Thank you," Maybe they already locked the wallet several hours ago but just didn't say anything publicly.
