Are such predictions that the result will be known for a long time to be available bet with BTC?  Because there are questions that not everyone can bet on using Bitcoin.  We see that many people are betting on such questions because some are interested in this, especially if only Ooms play money is used for betting, there is nothing to lose if you win or lose in the outcome.

For me, it is also not practical to bet using btc if the results will be years in the making. You have no assurance if the site will survive long also. I am not saying that futuur will have short lifespan, but you need to secure your hard-earned money here. So it is better to bet your satoshis in those events that will have results at least in few months time. Also, looking forward to diversify the options of payment method here, not only bitcoin.

I'm going for the bets that offer quicker results, too. I've just made my first 'real money' bet - only a small amount at the moment, but it's a beginning!
I do think 97% is too low; this one has to be well over 99% in reality, as the question has surely already been settled.

Perhaps, but I doubt this is intentional, and is more likely due to the phenomenal rise in BTC's dollar price over the last couple of months.

0.4mBTC seems reasonable at most times, but obviously if the price continues to increase then this may need to be reduced. Perhaps the ideal solution is that the minimum threshold could be set to fluctuate based (roughly) on the dollar value?

I believe that this has been explain by OP few weeks ago though i can't dig it here in thread, He Mentioned that it was their partners required fee amount and not their desires but They will find way for this .4mbtc to be reduced .

If my memory serves me right that's what i remember back then, because if this is just because of the hyping price from the miners is understandable but if being required by site , then that must be high.

Yes. But even so, it potentially locks up your Ooms for years, which means you can't place them on other bets in the interim.
Having said that, you can still make strategic bets based on which way you think the odds will go, and then draw the money out early.

For example, I'm sorely tempted to bet 'no' on the below. I think the chance of 'no' winning here should be close to 100%... but given the time it takes to get a manned mission up and running, let alone the actual travel time, I'd anticipate the odds would swing significantly well in advance of 2024, so you could take profit a long time before the outcome of the event itself became formally resolved. Bit of an extreme example, but it illustrates the point - you don't have to just bet on the outcome, you can also bet on which way you think the odds will swing, over any timeframe, and then take profit accordingly.

There is a lot of biasness in my picking this bet and it's unethical for a gambler but, I'm very much resulting Juventus for a win, they are playing from home and have the home advantage, they need the 3 point to advance to the 3rd position on the league table plus, I'm a Ronaldo fan. So, my bet took the nature



I know they would win and it would be a hard won game for them as Inter has got the chance to top the table at stake.

If they make it convertible to real money, someone could be rich in the future if he accumulates plenty of ooms. They can't easily do that because it might cost them a lot. What I think is they will make ooms a tradable token then users can sell it to some exchanges that are going to list it, or they can make their own platform where users can directly exchange it. The price will depend on the number of people that are buying and selling ooms.

Yesterday I have placed 6 bets on sports event. After placing those bets I noticed that I will loss 5% of each bet amount if I sell it before the event resolved. It wasn't like that in past, I was able to sell my bets without any loss. Though I don't had any intention to sell those bet yesterday. 5 of those bets has been resolved already. Won 3 of them and lost 2 bets, made 0.8 mBTC profit in total .

Now I'm placing bets in football matches only. I wish they will add cricket in their sports event too. I have suggested to add cricket betting option but they haven't responded yet. Took this screenshot yesterday.

You're right, that's also what I think. Ooms is just for fun play right now because it has no value, and is not exchangeable.  But we know that in the future the team will think and do that their tokens can also be used not only to bet but also to provide incentives to their forecasters as a withdrawal fee.

Very interesting all these concepts of betting on long outcomes that will settle in years. I know in traditional markets they have some of these contracts like these that you can partially settle early if your desired outcome happens sooner than anticipated. And people hedge all kinds of investments on every outcome. Too complicated for me,,, I admit it, but certainly very interesting to learn about especially with blockchain smart contracts that settle the contracts.

Oooms are just on sites token or coin which can be only used solely for this site alone and cant be converted to cash or any value but if you are really serious on making
profits then using up Bitcoin would be your option if you do really go for profitability but if you do just make out some guess or bets with ooms for the sake of
entertainment then its up to your choice but don't expect that it would really be having some monetary value.
