You don't even have to wait that long. You may use the If you sell now feature and possibly make a profit even before the bet end date comes, as mentioned by DroomieChikito. You just have to be mindful of the percentages. Personally, I wouldn't want to wait for the bet end dates of the likes of "Will humans find evidence of life out of Earth before 2025?" or "Will humans land on Mars by the end of 2024?"

There are some predictions that only last for short period of time, that one is common. I don't think that those people that decided to make predictions even they have to wait for years to know the result will back out and just withdraw their funds. I participated on a prediction there about Mars, the result will be known after 2 years from now. I'm not in rush to not go with it.
Therer are predictions that should be predicted for a long time before knowing the result, think about it, if there would be predictions that asks if  Mars will be reached by human in next week, that would be obvious.

Its called Future bets yet this one considers obviously about those future events which basically means on having that definite period of time that could happen unless if
events do have particular schedule or due dates then that wont really be considered as future bets yet mostly of those bets arent really that too  far-off.

Just signed up on this site.  Good to see new ones, we know we can almost see in existing gambling such as sportsbook only related to games and followed by politics.  But now we see here that we can also bet on these current events, trends, issues and etc.  So you can not only earn what you can win but you will also have knowledge of what is happening in different parts of the world one of which is about science.  I also tried to place bets using their in-game currency, this platform works well.  Hopefully there will be more markets for short term cryptocurrency-related predictions.

i liked science as well infact i got excelent grades on this subject back on time when i was in school and i noticed that many people liked it too .

 they just want to make sure that what they are posting for bets are legit and not those you post on your example which only ask if the event will occur or not because they can fake it.

So it's based on users voting the right answer? That could work if the users are informed enough. Do the isers have some sort of incentive for their votes or why do they want to participate if they didn't bet on that specific bet? And couldn't the result just be manipulated by majority of voters?

There may be some people who want to bet in the long term. You could think of people who are afraid to gamble the money, and then save everything and, for example, have everything paid out in half a year. Then you can build up a considerable amount. Especially if the bitcoin also increases in value.

I have checked that they only have 2 currencies over there, BTC and Ooms (no value as this is their play money).
Since the price of btc is increasing and the tx fee is also getting expensive, are they going to add more alts?
Maybe XRP, DOGE, LTC or EOS. They have relatively low transaction fees.

Yes its too expensive to spend bitcoins on any site right now. It's hard to gamble on the favourite casino's these days. I mean Last week I had some balance on the casino's and in the btc volume it's all reduced now considering the USD is risen.

Unfortunately thats not the issues. The issue is when withdrawing the balance they are taking huge cuts as withdrawl fees and thats taking all the fun away.
For example, if I want to withdraw 50 bucks then the fees are as high as 9 bucks. So to get the fees covered I will need to wager more money for it and potentially need to earn more.

I am sure that Futuur will also look into it futuristically and add more coins to it.

I'm just curious about how to find the withdrawal button on the futuur website, at some point I have a feeling that, it could be activated if a little sim of btc is deposited, I don't know or something similar.
I don't usually like predicting on politics, science, entertainment, but I love placing bets on sports, because the results will be quickly announced time waiting.
So I placed some bet on futuur using using the Ooms coin, I don't know if I win.

If you do have doubts about on getting paid of hitting the right prediction then you can always make use of their in-house coins but if you do accept the risk then you do bet with those bitcoins you do had.

Putting or adding smart-contract just to have some a little bit of assurance towards your bet then it is something that would really be needing some more work for such feature add-up which
i dont see for them to consider.
