Wish they use a self-custody approach that let bettors bet and lock their funds on smart-contract and never have to worry about something happening to the fund during the period of the long-term bet.

If you do have doubts about on getting paid of hitting the right prediction then you can always make use of their in-house coins but if you do accept the risk then you do bet with those bitcoins you do had.

Putting or adding smart-contract just to have some a little bit of assurance towards your bet then it is something that would really be needing some more work for such feature add-up which
i dont see for them to consider.

That idea is good but don't know if the team is willing to explore that aspect later on. Long-term bet is really risky and you may even forget it that you place bet on their site. So yes, if you are not comfortable placing btc as bet, just use their Ooms coin. These days, better secure your funds rather than be sorry about it.

hi TimeTeller!  Yes, our original thread was moved to the Games and Rounds forum, so we removed the announcement part and posted here.

Did you ever wonder why your previous thread was moved to Games and Rounds sections?
If you think it was done by mistake, you can just simply report your thread to the moderator and asked them to move the thread again to here Gambling section. No need of creating of another thread IMO.
Moreover i thought your thread was moved to Altcoins board as there was no option to bet on Bitcoins, rather we were able to bet with Gam Currency (token) bought through Bitcoins.

I think creating another thread should be the best option because no one know the reason be hand moving existing thread to another board, I understand that moderators move topics because they notice that such topic or thread is not really relevant to  such board, and board it should moved to are suitable for its conversation, so that's only finding I find out for moving topics to another board and I haven't see anything negative about it.

If devs have already made their own token, then the logical continuation of this development is precisely the smart contracts that the guys wrote about above.  I also liked the idea with smart contracts, because really a person can completely forget about their rate or not go to the site for years.  And so at least he will have a guarantee of contract performance and appropriate information.

I also try to bet using the in-house currency, if you sold the bet on the day you set it, there is no profit or what so ever but as time goes by you will see some increase in price giving us profit from it.

Well this site looks different than others, betting platforms are unique. I have just placed a bet with the free coins that I have in my account. I don't believe that Elon Musk's SpaceX will be able to take human to Mars by the end of 2024. Recently their rocket failed to land successfully after launching and crashed.

There is no information about bitcoin deposit and withdrawal in T&C page. Even I can't see FAQ page at your website. It's inside the community page and there you have provided information about bitcoin deposit and withdrawal. At the website only bitcoin is available as real money for depositing, play with it and withdrawal. But in the terms page it saying Skrill and Neteller is the payment method. Which is a bit confusional. OP, can you clarify these things?

I've registered with google to see how it works. I got my 10000 'coins' to place the bets instantly, and I think it's great that you have this option for people to try out the website (even though it's more like a "fun mode" with no way of withdrawing this money if I got it right). I like it that the website offers a wide range of bets on politics because it's not something many websites offer. And the bet images are nice. But some questions are not precise enough, IMO. When you do try to look everywhere,then everything do look strange yet these are bets which its results would be too long for it known.

Unique idea indeed because if you do try to look the number of predictors then you can really see that there's some interest to it.

Good thing that they do add up their on site coins for someone to test out but if you arent fan of using tokens then you can bet out with real bitcoins.
Some might find it uninteresting due to long results of bets but there are people who can really wait up.

5 years, 10 years from now?
Well, I'm not questioning how the site works and the legitimacy but the question is how many people could able to wait that long because even a month of waiting, guaranteed less.

I actually joining some prediction competitions and I do betting as well but leave not too serious with this. Prediction, some sort of talking in the future will absolutely just a game of truth and lies. Well, that be easy if those choices are YES or NO.

Now it is difficult to estimate to what size this site and the prediction market as a whole can grow.  For example, it is good to predict such an obvious event in my opinion that Elon Musk will not send an astronaut to Mars by 2024.  
And over time, I think the rating of predictions will be established.
 There will be a lot of bets on the topic of Mars, but for example some local win in local elections - there will be few bets.  And such a rating will generally show what humanity is generally concerned about, what it wants and what worries people most of all.  
This is a great way to do social research.

You have a point the project should first establish its reputation first in the community, we already have prediction bets on other gambling sites but these are gambling sites that have already established their reputation in the industry, and besides they are more on traditional betting and prediction games are just added attraction.

Yeah, it only shows my profile page. They should also put a button for directing to the wallet because I can't find it. Only bet history which is not accurate and not the account activity.

This is the purpose of selling our bets if we can place a bet but we can no longer wait for the result.  It was only here that I saw such a feature in the prediction sites.
