When will this madness end?
Who is willing to pay such amounts for a transaction?
OMG. I last did ETH transaction about 2 weeks ago. Then the transaction fee was 25 - 50 gwei.  The transaction fee has increased about 7-8 times in 2 weeks.
I think ETH 2.0 will actually increase the speed of the transaction and the fee will be much lower. That's why we have to wait for ETH 2.0 to come.

this has happened a lot on the Ethereum network,
because the Ethereum network is too full so Gwei is getting more expensive,
so don't be surprised about it, just wait until everything goes down.

at a certain time there will indeed be a decline. At this point there has been a decrease, although it can still be said that the fees are quite high. but all this is normal when the transactions that occur on the network increase and continue to accumulate, making many transactions fail.

In my opinion, the reduction in fees is still not optimal, it is still higher than last year. but we hope that the fee eth can be like in the year before 2020. all the fee eth is low and very helpful for those who have small assets.

When market will settle down - like 10 hours later it was 10 gwei or something.
Same thing happened when UNI was dropped

You mean i have to wait 10 hours to order my coffee, so that the fee is not higher than the product.

I have experienced several time making transaction on the ETH network when Tx fee were high.  It is a bit annoying because for only a small need I have to pay $ 10 for a single Transaction.  I hope Vitalik can solve the TX height problem in the future.

I thought the ethereum high fees was a thing of the past, but I can see that it finds away to recur periodically. The only solution is for the ethereum 2.0 project to be effected. I learnt that the project comes with a scalability feature which would help increase the transaction speed and reduce the gas fee for transactions.

When will this madness end?
Who is willing to pay such amounts for a transaction?
...

Nobody is willing to pay high fees just to send a transaction on the Blockchain (except if the person is wealthy, of course). This reduces Ethereum's ability to reach mainstream adoption in mass. While the ETH 2.0 upgrade is near launch, I believe it won't be enough to maintain fees in their All-time-lows. Developers are going to need to make use of second-layer scalability solutions, so that dApps will be able to charge a low fee to the end user. It's all a collaborative effort between the average person, and developers themselves in order to make Ethereum a better place. Otherwise, expect fees to continue to rise until Ethereum becomes no different than Bitcoin itself. With so many competing blockchain networks on the market, Ethereum's time is already running out. People will eventually migrate to scalable smart contract platforms like TRON and EOS because of the high fees on the ETH blockchain. The quicker ETH expands its transaction capacity, the faster fees will decline allowing it to gain some sort of leverage on the market.

Nonetheless, it's best to wait until fees become lower on the ETH blockchain before sending a transaction or interacting with a decentralized application. Fees are extremely high because of the hype surrounding "De-Fi". My guess is that once the hype is over, fees will considerably decline on the ETH blockchain. This combined with the PoS upgrade, Sharding, and Layer-Two scalability solutions, will make Ethereum great again. Just my thoughts Grin

Depending on the Ethereum network. These are part of what ETH 2.0 will solve. That's one of why there is excitement about it. It definitely will stop very soon.

Guys, I sent the funds already with the recommended gas, and after 20 seconds the gas price changes and my transaction fails. Is it possible?

I hate to say but seems like these high gas and transaction fee issues will continue till atleast another year because eth has announced that these issues will be resolved by sharding which will be phase 1 of eth 2.0 and will take around 12 months to get launched.

I think Ethereum 2.0 will create a very good solution for high fee problems. But it looks like we need some time for this. It has been really annoying to pay ridiculous fees for even low valued transfers. I know that as the price goes up, the fees increase too. But it doesn't mean that we can't do anything about this.

lately eth miners have become really greedy, they have seen that the price of eth has gone up a lot and they want to triple their earnings with fees, but when no one will make any more transactions due to skyrocketing fees then maybe they will come back to reason, I personally I will wait for the fees to return to the previous values i.e. 4 or 6 gwei before moving my ethereum

I hope so as it's getting intolerable. Uniswap make this things ridiculous. Almost anything gets listed then the ridiculous gas fees. All that process to farm low yields, and day by day it's kinda horrible to control. Everyone set their eyes on Ethereum 2.0 that promised to low fees.

the market starts to perform well, especially at a significantly moving etherum price then more transactions will occur and hence which makes the network slow and gas costs high, high ethereum gas costs are a major problem at this time. I hope that the price will drop once the market stabilizes.

Eth is popular and  liked by all so this is  a simple issue to increase the price but  and gas fee as well.As this is a popular coin so it happens but the gas fee will be  limited very son as everyone is objecting about the topic.
but maybe your opinion may be right, but if I look at why gas fees have risen quite sharply, maybe because we didn't adjust ourselves when we were going to make transactions. Try to make a transaction when ethereum's traffic is not high, it looks like the price is right, but maybe because the traffic is high, it is natural that ethereum provides a fairly high gas fee. although this is not something ethereum has done before, hopefully there will be improvements in the future.

it will end when the value of eth normalise at a lower level .

that is more sure than the eth 2.0 speculations .
rich people are willing to pay those amounts because it is only a penny to them but you dont need to be rich to pay a 3 dollars fee because men that is only 3 dollars .
if you can afford to invest using hundred dollar or more why cant you spend a 3 frickin dollar for such fee but there are hacks that you can do , try converting to other coin before you transact if that is possible and save a few dollara with that .

Bounty hunters are involved in many projects and when they receive tokens they sell them and every dollar is important, and there can be more than 10-20 projects and there is an opportunity to save 1$, then the amount is already 10-20$.

that's what is happening now, the cost of ETH gas is getting crazy.  I as a minor player was shocked when I saw the very high cost of ETH gas.  I hope that in the future the cost of ETH gas will be cheaper, otherwise everyone will switch to other, cheaper networks.  I myself do not know why the cost of gas is so expensive, in contrast to 2017 the cost of gas is very cheap.

It's true that ETH gas fee is higher than some other blockchains like TRON and Binance chain, but there is still hope that it can be reduced in future. Nobody imagined staking with ETH, when the algorithm was POW. So too let's be patient and hope for the best.
