Because they take a small amount of money from lots of people to make it easier for them to get away with it. All that money adds up to a nice score for them, but no one person put in enough money to make it worth going after them...
^That. that's kind of like, crowd funding?? Yea, just like it, except for the part where they promised insane returns and actually just ran with the money. Well that sounds a lot like crowd funding to me! Why is no authority in Cyprus interested in chasing down the NeoBee scammers? I felt that they were one of the best and safest investments in the bitcoin environment, I couldn't believe when it all went awry. Why did you believe they were the safest investment? Because they took out ads in the paper? Because they rented an office? All of that is just spending YOUR money, with zero plan to make money for YOU. Some guy comes out of nowhere saying he's going to start a bank and it's the best investment. Start to figure out where your thinking went wrong before the next amount of money you come into goes away the same way. |

I find it incredible that after an arrest warrant was issued a year ago in Cyprus, there have been literally no news about the whereabouts of Danny Brewster. How can such a scammer with a known name and face disappear like this, and what's worse, nobody seem to give a damn about it?
P.D. I was one of the lucky guys able to get out with a minimal loss just before this shit collapsed, but I would have expected others to pursue him more actively

This one has been inactive since 2014, now it's lit again, so I think it's the same person myself, unless it was actually hacked, in which case I would expect to see shit like when Homero's got hacked that one time. (Shit about how "I'm a scammer, Thanks suckers!!" etc etc). |

Interesting audio.
I couldnt be entirely sure who is entitled to any payback/compensation here after listening to that, but he sounds genuine in his intentions.
First he wants to pay off the creditors, and then some BTC will distributed to people who crowdfunded this, if ive understood correctly. Cant see it being the 9000/10000BTC that was originally given though??? And the method of refund has yet to be decided. I also dont have much faith that the hearing that will take place at the end of March, will produce the kind of closure that Danny is apparently seeking.
In any event, stock up on popcorn for a 2nd April, full AMA, where Danny has said he will reveal warts n all details.
