I have seen in my social media feeds people promoting Cryptocurrency as the easiest way to double your profit, they preach the buy and HODL method and early-bird scenario without explaining the risk involved, they preach the coin that they are promoting as the next Bitcoin.
they will just later find out the volatility of the market and how risky it is not to do research and pouring all their money.

You must be a Nigerian. i think that is the place where many are hustling to Join the crypto space because the current value of the countries currency is worthless. everyday the purchasing power of Naira keeps depriciating and price of goods keeps raising. also I think people are looking for alternative investment schemes and try as much as possible to avoid depending only on jobs.

They probably know it but they ignore it or not really care about it. It is okay once they learn well first before investing or trading, so they know how to minimize the chance for losses. But the worse, if they trade or invest in a hurry, they buy a coin without thinking much. This phenomenon is mostly happening in Dogecoin, many beginners buy that coin because of the hype. As the result, many of them got losses and just leave crypto industry suddenly.  They conclude investing in crypto is too risky.
