I'm a bit surprised people still want to see Manny Pacquiao fight.  Granted I'm a casual fan, so that is probably why...  but I could live the rest of my life without ever seeing this guy in the ring again with anyone and be quite happy.  If you can't tell, I'm still mad I sat through the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight.  Was such a pathetic excuse for a mega fight...  I'd rather see Tyson's old ass in the ring than any of these lightweights, even in their prime.

Pacman is an active fighter and has won recently versus Keith Thurman also an active, younger and also a ranked boxer in his division. He cannot be compared to Mike Tyson, a retired heavyweight boxer who can only fight in exhibitions.

Pacman can be argued to be the Tom Brady of boxing hehehehe.

Pacquiao was already the Tom Brady of boxing (8 weight division champ), even before Tom Brady clinches his 7th ring. Grin

All we can do is really wait, perhaps they're already communicating back and forth or Bob trying to lure boxing investors for this super fight. Although $50 million is just a change for him, but as I have said, he is very cunning and well-experience in this boxing world and probably working to get the purse from sponsors.

Hehehe. However, some fans might argue that Floyd is greater than Pacman, similar to basketball’s argument on Jordan versus Lebron. It will be an argument made for many years hehe.

In any case, someone mentioned that Pacman should fight Ryan Garcia. Tim Bradley does not agree in this interview.

@bbc.reporter - even his trainer and coach Eddy Reynoso says this, I Don't Like Pacquiao For Ryan Garcia, Fight I Like More Is With Tank Davis.

What do you think guys of the chances that this fight will happen or not? Still looking for updates but so far it seems to be quiet.

Because his coach believe that Garcia is not quick enough to win against Manny.
He is a heavy hitter but he is still young, he needs more experience to be able to have a good chance of beating Manny.

Garcia idolized Manny that's why he want to fight Manny but it's too early for him, I like him also to fight Davis, that would be a 50/50 chances I guess.

The update says it will be this week, we just have to wait.

On the chances of happening, I guess 90%, lol.. sorry I just want to see it happen.

If it is came from Eddy Reynoso since he is the trainer of that boxer I think there will not fight that will be happen, a trainer knows his opponent ability he know that his trainee cannot withstand and if he is not yet ready, well yes he is based on the article he said that "Pacquiao has more experienced in everything" , experienced can be huge thing in boxing and it can affect more things , you don't need only to be skilled but rather experience can help him to win over Pacman.

Based on the article, these are the words of Eddy Reynoso .
Quote
“I really don’t like that fight,” Reynoso admitted to BoxingScene.com. “Manny Pacquiao has all that experience, it’s a fight at a heavier weight against (a naturally) bigger fighter. But in my role as a teacher, my job is to prepare him for these fights that he and the team accept.

It's the experience that he knows will beat his boy, his boy is still undefeated and there's still a lot of undefeated fighter lining up, so he better fight them to get a better chance. Ryan Garcia does not need to go after Manny because we have Manny vs Terrence fighting soon.

Ryan Garcia is "biting off more than he can chew". And I totally agree with his trainer and Tim Bradley. Garcia is better off facing those champions in 135 lbs instead of chasing Pacquiao for a big pay check.

He is obviously trying to seal a fight with Manny because of the huge pay check and then the legacy that he beat him. But he is taking too much risk here.

from the back of my mind, I wanted to see this fight to happened. Giving Garcia a chance to fight against his idol and allowing him to explore fighting tougher challenger / legend.

Who knows, might be also a good chance to passed the thrown, we don't know what luck brings to Garcia, even it's really a hard and
a lesser chances to win, it's worth the call. He might be young but full of determination.

Either pride or hunger to win more that will
drive Pacquaio in the other side.

Manny Pacquiao has only few fights left before he will officially retire, for me, I would like to see the best match up in this remaining fights, and between Garcia vs Pacquiao and Crawford vs Pacquiao, I would go with the latter since it's more evenly matched IMO.

This is probably what Manny was talking with his latest update that he will be back this year with a big fight.

https://tribune.net.ph/index.php/2021/02/12/pacquiao-give-me-crawford/

Quote
“We told Bob I get $40 million and Crawford gets $10 million,” said Pacquiao, whose last fight was a stunning win over Keith Thurman in July 2019 in Las Vegas.

I believe if Crawford will take this fight, it will be the biggest paycheck of his career as a boxer.

So what do you think about this fight, is it going to be the fight of the year?

Manny Pacquiao will retire soon I guess he changes his mind I thought he doesn't want to fight anymore and he's also a senator I'm really worried if he can still fight with his full potential in his recent fight he still has the speed of his punches even in soon news they showcase Manny Pacquiao is doing training and we can clearly see the speed of the punches but I doubt the power. He's already 42 years old and Terrence is 33 years old at that age mostly that is where your senses slow down like reaction time I just hope he can still fight and win.

We dont know if this fight would be his last before he do retire.Actually there's no need to prove out more when it comes to his greatness in the career of boxing.

He had achieved those things that havent been achieved or attained by other boxers. It would be better if he do just focuses into this current job as a senator
rather than on continuing boxing but we cant blame him if he do really loves boxing.

If Pacquiao  will lose, then I guess it will be his last fight, but if he will win, there's still one undefeated in the same division that he would like to fight and that is Spence Jr. Looks very hard to achieve at his age but he is doing it, so I don't have any doubt on him until he loses as he is winning fights.

There's still no update regarding this fight, hopefully soon there will be positive news about it.

We dont know if this fight would be his last before he do retire.Actually there's no need to prove out more when it comes to his greatness in the career of boxing.

He had achieved those things that havent been achieved or attained by other boxers. It would be better if he do just focuses into this current job as a senator
rather than on continuing boxing but we cant blame him if he do really loves boxing.

right now, it seems he has still the power inside the ring, this is why he is still fighting. i believe its not because of the money anymore but he's still testing his own strength if he can still do it. but i think better hang his gloves while he still can. theres nothing to prove as a lot have said.

It's very different now young boxers are very strong and skillful because of the science-based diet and training, Manny Pacquiao case is rare but he should not very confident on his body, the body has natural wear and tear cycle, and with his age, it could happen to him anytime Crawford is not going to be an easy fight, I hope his body is still doing great.

@Kasabus - Nah I don't think that Manny is trying to break the record here. George Foreman was the oldest if I'm not mistaken to win a title at age 46 and perhaps Pacquiao can get closer to that.

In any case, we have seen Manny in his last fight, and we can say that still has hat pop in his punch, even knocking down Thurman.

@coin-investor has a point as well, a fighter is only good at his last fight so we don't know what condition Manny will be if this fight push through.

We are all waiting for his match.

But there's no clear answer yet from Crawford and I'm waiting for some valid information if this fight is already locked or will be postponed because Crawford has turned downed the offer.

We have to wait.
Looks Like Crawford is the talk of the town now in regards to whom will be Manny Pacquiao's facing so more or less this is on the table now.

The American has many more experiences therefore the favorite of the fight perhaps Mayweather will be undefeated in the ring. But McGregor is already looking to return to boxing to defeat the mixed martial arts fighter, judging by his creativity on social networks ready for classic boxing the fighter is willing to risk his deal with the UFC in an attempt to counter some of the most famous boxers in foreign territory. This fight may be much closer than all of us but Manny Pacquiao must go ahead with confidence for million 10 million to fight Terrence Crawford.

This will be one of the most difficult fight for Pacquiao because Crawford has all the tools to beat him.

We will soon known what will be the status as Arum himself told the boxing media about it. So by next week we will know if we have a fight or not. If yes, then I expect Crawford to be the betting favorite in the beginning just like in the Thurman fight. But the odds suddenly shift to Manny as we gets closer to the fight itself.

A boxer will not retire if the body can still take it, between the body and the mind the first one that is going to surrender is the body, a boxer's motivation is always there but once the body cannot react to what the mind is saying, then that's the time he will consider retiring, so far Manny Pacquiao is doing great, between now and two years there's a lot of changes, we'll now see if Manny's body can still take it and his body can still follow what his mind is saying.

Same for any sports to be honest. Tennis we have Federer out for so long and hoping to make a comeback after a knee injury now, we saw plenty of footballers retire also from career ending injuries way before their "normal" retirement age. They know best about their bodies and unfortunately your mind can only force your body to go on for so long.

Even if Manny fights you can tell it won't be purely for sporting reasons. He's still good but he can't be great anymore.
