I think he can still fight even at 50 years old as long as he is willing and winning. This fight is necessary for him, actually he already loss his belt because he did not have a fight, but that's alright because its due to pandemic and no one would choose fame or money over security.   

He want to run for the presidential elections next year, right? If that is the case then he may first announce retirement from the boxing ring. I don't think that he can afford to run for the post of president, without retiring from sports. Pacquiao has also given some hints. It is the same in most sports, if you want a chance to be a legend in your sport then you need to beat the previous legend, Pacquiao is one of the best fighters we have seen and he is going to be forever remembered, if the new generation of fighters cannot beat him now that he is old and does not have the time to train as hard as he could then this means the current generation will never be as good as the previous generation, and if that is the case then this is not good for the boxing fans at all.

In the Philippines there are many celebrities that became government officials because of their status, One of them is Manny Pacquiao. I can see Manny Pacquiao having a good intention on our government and doing his best to fulfill his job. So if he won the next election in 2022 I think he will take the senate job seriously and there's a chance that he will retire from his boxing career.

Last week there are rumors that Crawford will announce his opponent this week but it seems that they are still quite on the issue and with the silence of Manny's camp, i don't think that this would push through.
