I have waited for this for a while now, and finally, have something to look forward to on the weekend. I do believe that it's going to be an exciting comeback because for sure they are really studying the season and what they could've done to improve everything to have the best results.

I'm hoping Tifosi are gonna to celebrate for the win after this break ~XD.

Lol.  Not with their team's bad decisionsin the heat of the race they won't.  It's just blunder after blunder with those guys.  And don't fade the books when it comes to F1.  They have a strong sense of what's going on.  Trust me...  I know.  

So if the books say Verstappen is 1.90 to get pole at quali this weekend and Leclerc at 2.75, just stick with Verstappen.  But I wouldn't touch that line.  No value.  Leclerc has some value but at 2.75, def not enough meat in the bone to make it worth it...  But I'd say watch out for the Mercedes.  I think they're finally getting it together.

Finally the break is over and we can get back to business in the F! season and in a challenging track in Belgium.

Yeah, the circuit in Belgium is considered by many F1 connoisseurs and even racers to be the most interesting of all the circuits in F1 competition.
By the way, this route has existed for over 100 years.  
And on it, for example, the legendary Michael Schumacher won - 6 times. And Hamilton drove it the fastest in the history of the track a couple of years ago.
So expect an interesting spectacle. It will probably be one of the best races of the season.

But I agree with you Tokeweed, the lines don't lie and the oddsmakers know exactly what is going on with the races.
Their analysis of each and every track and how all drivers have performed on it year in and year out for each and every team they had been on.
This is why I haven't put in my selections for the predictions contest nor the pool yet:
Still analyzing what could possibly happen during qualifying and who can stand to get pole position which will decide on who the winner is of the race.
It does sound quite simple but I will sit on it for a few more days until the first practice begins before putting in my picks for both.

After Piastri story with Alpine, this message was only matter of time. It's indeed sad that Danny didn't done well on Mclaren. And in general, how his career went down after Red Bull. I think it's very likely that we won't see him in F1 next year.

Well, he had the contract on his side and could have been keep an overly strong fight for his seat. But I guess that he has proven, yet again, that he's a nice person.

I think it's very likely that we won't see him in F1 next year.

If this happens I fear we won't see him in F1 ever again... on the other hand with his bad year and current situation, the morale is probably also very low and may not even care to start looking. That's why I also think that Alpine is one of this very few chances.

Its really sad, yes, but we have to say the truth also, the pace of Dani Ricciardo this year was pure shit, i really cant undestand why he cant go back to his peak, i know the car doesnt fit well for him, its okay, but its seem a little more thing its passing.

The main problem if he stay in F1 its he can be in a worst car, so cant compete.

It's not a new thing.

Hiring former champions or good drivers doesn't mean you're gonna get the same result or even better. We already have a few example on the grid, so don't expect to much you're getting a good result from champion driver.

Most of the time, after a few season bad performance they're gonna to take retired.

Really missed F1 already. This is going to be pretty nice for Mercedes as well. Everyone is expecting Ferrari to have a better comeback but I feel like they would still make some mistakes eventually, whereas I can see Mercedes getting better and if they really fixed their bouncing issue then there isn't really any team that can stay ahead of them. Remember Brazil last year?

Hamilton literally took off and started from the last and beat everyone and then made like 10+ seconds difference on that, I do not remember a dominance like that since early days of Mercedes new engine thing 6-7 years ago. All in all, if they fixed it, we could see something like that again.

If he could've stayed in Red Bull before and just accepted that he is #2 from Max, he could've had a better season on the previous years since he would have a better car. I don't know but Mclaren said that they share the responsibility of Ricciardo not having performed well. ^[1]

It is quite a shame. It's a matter of time if some team would get him or something. He is a good driver but with the current season, does it look like they are going to sign him? It could be these teams: Alpine, Alfa Romeo, Haas, or Williams. Since they haven't announced their future drivers yet. ^[2]

A lot has changed with the other teams and Mercedes had a sloppy start this season. Maybe the reset could've given them a new start? Check this out by Wolff.^[3] They are out for it to win so it could really mean that they have probably discovered what to do this half. I know Hamilton has a very hands-on approach when it comes to reviewing the previous races this year and still wants that 8th championship if he can.

The new car (for the 2022 new rules) did behave much worse (compared to the rest) than the previous (2021) generation, so that's correct.
It was also bad luck for Ricci because (from my understanding) each car behaves different, has different balance and so on; Ricci had to adapt to the new McLaren when he left Renault, then he had to adapt again to the completely new McLaren in 2022. He didn't.

It could be these teams: Alpine, Alfa Romeo, Haas, or Williams.

Haas and Williams are just not competitive enough. Alfa Romeo has an experienced driver and one that brings big bucks, I don't think that anything will change there. Alpine is in turmoil and since I expect Ricci is disappointed and may not be searching too hard, they could both intersect for a "let's give each other another chance".

It depends on how many failures will Ferrari still have, but Mercedes are actively hunting for the second place. It looks achievable now.

I remember that he had a hard time on Renault as well and it just hasn't been well since then. It's probably adjustment after adjustment. I know that there are certain rules always getting updated by the FIA which makes it harder for drivers as well.

Due to penalties, the starting grid will not match the qualifying results:

Therefore, we have quotes that are very different from quotes in previous races, but at the same time, Verstappen, starting from 14th place, is still a favorite even in relation to Sainz, who will start first. With Alonso being on 3rd place , I'm sure we will have one hell of a start as he won't back down to take the lead in turn 1 as long as he had a great start.

For Max and Lec this race can count a lot if somehow Max won't finish the race but for me I think one of the McLaren cars won't finish the race and the odds are pretty attractive for this :

Some of these odds are really unfair to me. Because Verstappen has a really difficult job actually as he is starting from way back of the grid. But he is the most favoured driver to win the Belgian GP. I would rather seeing Sainz in his place as he is the most likely driver to win the race in normal conditions. Verstappen can reach podium in fact but it is hard to wait for more than that. He might need even safety cars to make it to top somehow. And he might need Ferrari's help by making bad decisions also. 

So I think Sainz's 3.10 odd is tempting to place a bet. Maybe even Hamilton could be given a chance at 13.00 but it seems really hard for him. Mercedes drivers weren't too impressive in qualifying session. However technically Hamilton is more advantageous than even Verstappen for now as he is starting at upper positions.

Still with the way the qualifications turned out I am going with Max Verstappen to get the in win.
He will just have to pull a Hamilton in tomorrow's race starting out 14 places from the front.
It should make for a thrilling one with all shuffling of spots during the race.

Checking the gap between Sainz and Verstappen is quite close but still big in terms of F1 races. A 0.632 gap form him is large. Imagine being to be consistent on those laps. Verstappen can really manage to get back in the top spots in no time. The recent race even him starting in 10th position and still winning is quite a feat as well.

Lewis went airborne and damaged the underneath of his car and is out.
Bottas got tapped by Latifi and got stuck in the gravel spinning his tires and determined to be out.
