Very true and I realized this today when I was watching the match played between Brazil and Germany.

Richarlison scored a hatrick in the first 30 minutes and missed a couple of good chances which made Germany look like a team that was being taught how to play football. When I tried to see if I recognized some names, I think I saw less than 10 familiar names from both sides, Which doesn't help in building strong team's.

In the Olympic Games, young football players take part, so matches for predictions and bets are not suitable. Look at Argentina's result with Australia, Argentina lost and failed to score a single goal. Damn, didn't check the 6-6-free promotions page. Was busy doing things for the summer (yard work and BBQing) so totally missed it.
Looks like Brazil has a comfortable lead against germany 3-0 at HT.
South Africa is holding it's own against the hosts Japan especially with them being 21.00x odds to win. So it is quite impressive.
The surprise is Argentina going down to Australia 0-2. I turned it off once it reached the 83' mark as they were on a red card since the 45' of the first half. It is their U23 squad so didn't expect to much from them.
The other matches were way to early for me to justify waking up an extra 4 hours and losing sleep to watch being a work day but seen Ivory coast beat Saudi Arabia.

That's strange but I haven't seen 6-6-free promotions in the past two times people were mentioning it. I'm pretty sure I check Sportsbet a lot and I do get a lot of 4-3-free promotions, almost I would say 3/4 every week. Wonder if they cut out certain countries from the promo? Would be pretty strange though since Olympics is even now in Asia:)

This is true for any sport and any championship, for example, before Magnus Carlsen, chess in Norway was not even considered a sport, and then everything changed very dramatically. But there are always some exceptions, like athletes from Kenya, if I choose between them and some other middle country, then I will choose Kenya because they have a very strong school and traditions (judging by their sports results).

I guess @Joker_Josue was making reference to football activities in Olympic games rather than all sports in general, If yes, I'd agree with him. Most football teams don't come with their best players from the national team, it's an U23 event with only a few players over that age allowed within the squad. So, technically teams that have most of their best players from national side over that age limit or not a strong U23 side might fall short of the expectations which one would have had on National team.

If we talk about football, then the name of the team is actually very important, even if we do not know the specific players. Considering, for example, that there is a strong football school in Brazil and a lot of people play football, we can assume that a team of, for example, 15-year-old players will be much stronger than the same team from, say, Romania.

You can watch it on BBC iPlayer, though you'll need a VPN if you're not in the UK.

I guess its a pretty good bet because as we know usa in every olympic game get number one spot as you said they have a lot of quality athletes plus the number of participants and they are far ahead in the number of won medals from their competiters and it seems that this year in tokyo will not be any different.

I watched opening ceremony, it was nice, but not the same as in previous Olympics - without spectators and very limited number of athletes. Personally, for me  London 2012 opening ceremony was best of all time and it will be difficult to beat it.

I fully support your clarification - it does not matter how funds enter the industr  (in this case, sports), only the end result is important. And the USA is definitely the leader here.
I watched the opening ceremony on the central channel of my country, but I was unhappy - these impudent people inserted ads during the passage of the teams and some teams were completely skipped in this way, so I would also like to watch the opening ceremony in the recording (preferably the initial broadcast without editing).

Seems that I might catch some events this night in both Basketball 3vs3 and some Field Hockey and at this moment, I'm great for every event at night especially after NHL and NBA are in break. Regarding predictions , is hard to predict Olympics but most of the times the favorites are walking away with the gold medal. Also , please remember that Olympics means for an athlete a 4 year preparation for a few minutes of glory as you don't get 2nd chances until 4 more years.
