Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

but more importantly, what if Freequant is actually Inaba and is pulling the old double switcheroo ... actually, come to think of it, Freequant is likely Satoshi and using this entire BFL/Inaba/Freequant scam to manipulate the bitcoin market

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

You guys are irresistibly fun.
After the 70+ pages thread where everybody was trying to shout louder than the neighboor that BFL could only be a scam, you look like the lunatics in an asylum calling each other insane.
My point is that *if* BFL is a scam (in which case it would be a masterpiece), there has to be a con artist.
That would be someone well known on this forum, progressively giving credit to the product while appearing to side with the community.
I have nothing personal against Inaba, but if BFL was a scam, he would be the perfect candidate for the role of the con artist.
Now I am *not* claiming that BFL is a scam nor that Inaba is a con artist (neither am I claiming the contrary).
I am just stressing that if people ever had a strong doubt that this could be a scam, they should especially seek *not* to base their decision solely on the testimony of a seemingly trustable and friendly person coming out of the woodwork to dissipate the doubts on the product.

We'll be making additional adjustments prior to demo this weekend with Inaba so it's reasonable to expect these figures will change. Our development has been extended due to increased power demands. The speed of the unit had to be reduced to compensate. Our current focus is finding the most economical balance between the two prior to finalization & delivery production. Regards, BFL  |

We'll be making additional adjustments prior to demo this weekend with Inaba so it's reasonable to expect these figures will change.

Econo-mode and "Warp-6" for when bitcoin is at $30. Also, these are standard 80-mm fans correct? That is, if they fail, they can be replaced with a standard 80mm case fan? Nice screen shot BTW! |

You can change the averaging window of pool's luckmeter at "Advanced" settings page. Setting it to 40 or even 60 minutes can give much better result than 10 minutes. |

Americans also do not use the metric system. Everyone else does but Burma and Ivory Coast I think:) Aye, for every day stuff. Its fuggin annoying. As soon as we do any kind of surveying, molecular engeering work, etc etc, there is no reason not to use metric. But yet we insist on having fuggin 'standard' rulers handed out to all our school children. Dirves me nuts. Which also come in 'American' and Metric here. >.< |

why don't you let a unit work for 1 or 2 days on deepbit and post here the full screen shot of https://deepbit.net/account with the right column of stats and the https://deepbit.net/stats page, that way we can see it's been up and running and how it's performing. Right now one can only guess your unit has been up for 10 minutes at 946 MHz (with some earlier activity to generate the 0.085 BTC) as conveniently you don't include the 24h stats column (which is fuel for speculation of course ;-) |
