I would take a PR job with BFL in a second. Make some videos, show some cgminer action... They'd be beating off pre-orders with a stick!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Hi Fred, here's another photo... three units working in tandem... with their front covers off. Feel free to post. We'll begin shipments on Monday. We've been doing a lot of hand work with the assembly over here and it's been slow. Next runs are starting their process now in Asia where we'll catch up with the schedule.

Thanks for posting this fred0. So they do have these fans blowing up on the underside of the PCB? I was thinking all along if it wouldn't make more sense to run them without the case?

It does look like there is a hole under the PCB esp in the leftmost unit.
Looking at the unit on the right you can see that the bottom fan is using the same fan mounting as the top unit, which someone mentioned was increased to 92mm. Correct, if inaccurate.
Happy to see the ship date...anxious to see what the Rev B board does in MH/s and power consumption.

One of my business ideas that didn't pan out, but that's a different story. The enclosures had vent holes in the front bezel and rear bezel, and, for good measure, lots of vent holes in the side panels also. Guess what? The holes in the side panels created an easier path for the air, so the cool air did not go all the way from the front to the rear (in a data center, the aisle where all the front panels are is the "cool aisle" and the aisle where all the rear panels are is the "hot aisle"), but instead the air took a shortcut. The motherboards got really hot. Not good. So, I duct-taped the holes in the side panels shut. Result: Much better cooling performance, as the air was now forced to go from the front to the very rear. In a nutshell: More air holes do not necessarily translate to better cooling performance - sometimes the opposite is true. |

Good question, I've always wondered why some of the HP/Dell servers I have used have had side vents as well. But I never detected much airflow from them when the servers were running, so it could have been that they were designed as intakes that would cool some of the components closer to the side of the server. |

So you seem to have found the address for his wire transfers (great detective work there) and latched on to that. Firstly, I'm not sure why you're assuming that the address he receives wire transfers to is the same address they manufacture these things. Why would it be? Secondly, you seem to still be stuck on the "it's a scam!" bandwagon. Even the hardcore trolls in here have given up on that one. If it is a scam, it's a bloody intricate one. I think you can give up on that broken record. Try focusing on the delays instead, at least that's true and you can milk it a while longer. Actually if it is a scam its a pretty simple one.. They have nothing to lose by dragging the scam on until profits are not earned, hard to tell how many more months that would take. There are a lot of people that would believe about anything. Someone doing a ponzi scheme would have to put in way more effort then this, and more risk. This is risk free until returns are denied, but that won't happen until return requests exceed new orders. Nothing intricate about their website. If it is real these guys are idiots, and they obviously think their customers are to. |

I agree 100% with RandyFolds, until a product is delivered, it is vaporware(American spelling, after all, didn't we invent vaporware?). I am optimistic to receive my order next week, UPS/Fed-Ex/USPS willing. I am sure that I'm not the only one who will receive their order, so hopefully, this whole brouhaha will come to a close. |
