I would love to see referees warning and deducting points on fighters that hug a lot. It would do better for the sport and it make fights less boring. He didn't train well and relied on his defense but it wasn't enough since Ryan was the one who train to improve his skills and learn new moves to counter his defense which was exactly what happened in their fight. He slack off thinking that he can just easily beat him like his first opponent and no matter how the ref was helping him, it didn't matter because Ryan can take his powerpunches and manages to counter even many stronger which takes him down everytime it hims him multiple times.

The odds seem very fair. Similar to Garcia vs. Haney, there is a significant disparity in skill level. Munguia is a big puncher so we can’t completely count him out. Unlike Haney, Canelo has knockout power and can also take a punch. Munguia won’t be able to just impose his will by charging directly at Canelo. This will be a fight where Canelo’s higher IQ should make the difference.

Well, in the boxing industry, it's not new for us that the referees are also involved in helping the boxer they want to win and it happens a lot, from slow counting, to not calling a foul and deducting points for whoever boxer they are helping with and this time, it's clearly that they also helping Haney to win against Garcia but they failed to do so because Garcia Stunned him throughout the rounds and he can't do anything about it despite the ref has helped him in anyway shape or form that are not obvious to the other newbies. That's why, underdogs are always working harder to knock out their opponents especially when they fight on their opponent's territory. We can not say that Devin Haney is just hype and that he is really weaker, Devin Haney is definitely in another league it is just that Ryan Garcia attains a similar status and if I could bet on that fight I may have bet for Devin Haney because Ryan Garcia had lost against Gervonta Davis and even though Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney doesn't fight yet I got a huge confident on Haney winning this fight but it has all crumbled When Ryan Garcia did the unthinkable he is the underdog but he has proven that he can defeat Devin Haney.

For me this is just my opinion, after that great win against Devin Haney I want to see a rematch against Gervonta "Tank" Davis, and this time without that Rehydration clause that he is giving against Ryan Garcia, but now that he won against Haney Ryan Garcia still doesn't get the belt that is because Ryan Garcia missed the weight for the fight and coming in 3.2 pounds over the 140-pound limit. Rather than the bout being canceled, Garcia instead opted to pay Haney compensation to ensure that it went ahead.

But like the majority of us who thinks that he will not survived this fight, everyone was fooled and we lost our money betting against King Ry. On the other hand, there are reports that he bet on himself to win as he was a like a 7:1 underdog and obviously wins millions to cover what he had lost in the bet and paying the Haney's $1.5 million. I don't think that it will be the end of his career if he lost, but surely his popularity will take a hit and maybe not sell that much tickets next. Seems fair in my opinion, Usually Canelo is really a huge favorite in his fight. But when Ryan won the fight, it makes us think that we should look at the underdog very closely like Jaime Munguia here against Canelo.

Volume will be the key for Munguia and with his youth, I'm expecting him not to get tired and he should really work with that stamina because he will need a lot of it in this fight. I don't think that any oddmakers are going over or under when they list their odds in the market. This punters really know what they are doing and so I don't think they have misplaced it. Munguia is the obvious underdog and Canelo being the cash cow and the A-side will be the favorite here just like in the Bivol fight. But it's not always 100% that the favorite is going to win, obviously as we have been played by Ryan Garcia as he is also a 7:1 underdog at some point and then won in a dominating fashion against the favorite Haney.

So who knows, it could be worth to put some $$$ on Munguia here and we could have witnessed 2-0 underdog win for GBP. This fight is just a couple of weeks and maybe we could see some swings in the odds, at least some movement to close that huge gap and whales shelling out money on Munguia.

I think Jaime is too underrated by the oddsmakers here. He is undefeated, former champion, young and heavy handed. Canelo though has the edge when it comes to skills and experience but Mungia will have the physical advantage being the younger fighter.

The difference with Haney is the punching power. If Haney has the power he could've put Garcia down with those body punches. Garcia's defense is still average but Haney does not have the power. Which is why I still cannot see Ryan capable of winning against the likes of Teofimo Lopez and Subriel Matias. Unless of course if Garcia hurt them right from the start as it will change the tempo of the fight.

According to Sugar Sean O'Malley, boxing against Ryan Garcia is not an impossible occurrence. We have witnessed uncle Dana mention before that he does not like to promote something similar to Conor vs. Money Mayweather anymore. He did not tell everyone his reasons. I speculate this is because uncle Dana certainly knows that his UFC fighters will be defeated and become the jokes of the internet again hehehehehh.

For the odds, I see that the odds maker make it right and didn't underestimate Jaime.

@5.10... He was underestimated for sure? This looks like a similar odds on Haney vs Garcia fight but as we all know, there was a big upset happen in that fight as Garcia came to dominate Haney. Not sure if it could happen here but we all know that anything is possible in boxing. I hope I can see a knockout, it's always entertaining to see one, and since Jaime Munguia is still undefeated and has a decent KO rate, it should not be impossible for him to knockout Canelo.

For gamblers who got a big nerve and love taking the big risk, placing bet for Munguia will surely satisfied their appetite, knowing that in gambling upset can happened, we don't know for sure if he may do that against Alvarez but then again we just watch that kind of upset previously with Garcia and Haney, though different fighters and also different breed and fighting capabilities, more on determinations and how they will prepare themselves for this fight.
