Tim Tszyu did not look great tonight as he was dropped 4 times and stopped in the third round. He might still be suffering the effects of that war with Fundora. Tszyu’s defense has always been poor and eventually he was going to pay for it. I think his career may have already peaked and it will be difficult for him to be champion again. He can still be an exciting fighter who always tries to make it a slugfest, but to have that style you need a good chin. Without good punch resistance, his remaining career will be very short.

Yes, he could be done for sure, his chin has been broken, even the jab put him on the canvass. I'm a Tim fan, however, he seems to be not prepared for this kind of fight or I do agree that he might have underestimated Bakhram Murtazaliev here.

Maybe Tim is arrogant to underestimate Bakhram? Maybe, but i's a lesson learn for him here. Never underestimate your opponent, now with this lost, he is going back to zero and he could be as overrated as what other says.

And since the [Boxing] Tim Yszyu vs. Bakhram Murtazaliev IBF Junior Middleweight title thread is locked, I read that Tim Tszyu is considering this fight as his V or vengeance fight.

After his defeat in April by Sebastian Fundora, a cut on his face required 15 stitches and kept Tszyu out for nearly seven months.

The Australian, 29, is determined to prove that the scar doesn’t define him.

"You can see it's a little V – V for vengeance," he said.

https://www.boxingscene.com/v-vengeance-scarred-tim-tszyu-battle-hardened-date-with-bakhram-murtazaliev--186333

He is still very young though, so for sure, he can make another statement win against a very tough opponent in Bakhram Murtazaliev.

Unfortunately, there is no V for vengeance coming from Tim Tszyu as he was really beaten by Bakhram Murtazaliev. On the other hand, Twitter reacts to his tough lost and others given him props for his heart in this fight and showing how strong he is. Coming from a big lost against a taller and one of the bloodiest fight recently, he decided to have a return bout against a tough Russian.

Others says that Tim might have thought that he will have a easy fight, and that's why in the 1st knockdown, he really don't know what he will do. His energy is sapped, and obviously, Murtazaliev left hook is too strong even for Tim.
A defeat like this could be a heavy blow for Tszyu, as he has to bury his dreams and ambitions for the IBF super welterweight world title in the fight, I think for now it's better for him to take a break so he can recover from the injury he sustained against Fundora in Las Vegas in March, we know in the previous fight Tszyu suffered a very severe injury after getting an elbow from Fundora in the fight.
The defeat from Bakhram Murtazaliev clearly shows a decline in his performance moreover we can see how Bakhram very easily penetrated Tszyu weak defense and also the punch resistance he currently has has really decreased.
So I think it's time for him to rest and regain his physical strength,  strategy and also of course he needs to retrain himself to be better before returning to the boxing ring again, especially now that he has reportedly reconciled with the Hall of Famer, Kostya Tszyu, who is his father and I think he can learn a lot from the legend to be able to return to improve his career in the future.

It's more on the mental game for Tim moving forward, I do agree that he needs more time to heal from the injuries he suffered from the Fundora fight. He might have thought that he has recovered already, but that fight is very different and then me makes a comeback fight against the power of Bakhram. I also agree that it shows the decline now on Tim, although it's very hard to think about it as he was once the biggest prospect at 154 lbs and even become a champion and even talks of him and Crawford to fight since Bud move up to this division already.

He needs more support from his family specially his father Kostya, I think they have reconciled years ago, and that's why Tim is really fighting very good until that Fundora fight. So maybe he needs to take a break and then go for a easy fight mid next year. Just took a break from boxing for him for now will be a good suggestion.

Tszyu took an unnecessary amount of damage in the Fundora fight. When a fighter is practically blind from all the blood pouring down their face, the referee or the corner should have been looking out for him and stopped it. His promoter also should have matched him with an easier opponent after that brutal fight. Now we are seeing the consequences of those decisions and Tim might not be the same again.

He was a solid fighter at 154 but he didn’t have the skills to be elite. With these losses I am not sure that he can successfully come back.

Yes, that damage though in the Fundora fight, one of the worst experience for a boxer. He might have the heart to survived that fight, but after, it was a totally different mindset for him as we can see his eyes during the first knock down.

He was a solid fighter at 154 but he didn’t have the skills to be elite. With these losses I am not sure that he can successfully come back.

Perhaps during his reign at 154 lbs, there are no solid names that time that's why he was able to get a title and fighting comfortably in Australia. Then he face Tony Harrison and knock him out making a statement and that time it was only Charlo who has the hold of the belt. But now, in just short amount of time, like 2-3 years, it was a different landscape at 154 lbs and it did show that he doesn't have what it takes to be the king of this division.

I see the fight as one of the best and brutal fights, Tszyu showed great courage in the fight, although indeed the decision to continue the fight is debatable, because in the world of boxing, the health and safety of boxers should always be a top priority and it must be taken care of by the referee and the promoter, the loss to Fundora has caused serious injuries to Tszyu's face but I think he is the one who too rash to continue the fight against Bakhram in just 7 months of istrahat, to be honest if Tszyu condition is much better than when he fought Bakhram, of course it is very likely that Bakhram will not easily defeat him let alone make him fall repeatedly on the floor, the defeat of Bakhram will make it difficult for him to get up but I think he can still succeed later because indeed he still has a long way to go.

In recent memories, this is one of the brutal fights that we have seen, both fighter have literally blood in their hands. But it was Tim who really took the most damage in this fight and his corner insists that he should continue and didn't stop it a bit. Decision was to his corner though. It's not only caused serious injuries to his face physically, he was supposed to have another fight if I remember it correctly, it should be against Vergil Ortiz and the result could have been the same as Ortiz has some serious power as well. So they try to heal again for months. And when they are ready, they though they have a easy fight against the Russian Bakhram but it was the opposite as he is also has power and that left hook was enough to put Tim out in the first round as he was not able to recover from that.

Remember when Tszyu fought Fundora which was fierce and both of them got each other punches that made their faces full of blood, haha in the end Tszyu got his first defeat and he got paid for his own arrogance as if he was the best and strongest fighter.
And for the second time Tszyu also did the same thing but it was much worse because Bakhram stopped him more embarrassingly and this was the beginning of his further away in trying to become champion, in the fight against Bakhram he fell several times and was really amazed by Bakhram powerful punches.
Some time ago he was respected fighter with 24 fights without defeat but now he has experienced 2 consecutive defeats, haha they must be very disappointed.

It was really an accident that really happened on that fight, although Tim was also the favorite entering that fight and before that elbow, he was doing very good and might be ahead on the judges score card. But as what he have seen, no one wanted that to happen, and both shows resiliency but Fundora was really the more aggressive and he wanted dto win that fight.

And for the second time Tszyu also did the same thing but it was much worse because Bakhram stopped him more embarrassingly and this was the beginning of his further away in trying to become champion, in the fight against Bakhram he fell several times and was really amazed by Bakhram powerful punches.

But here, I just thought that he was really underestimating Barkham and never thought that he has so much power. That's why when he was knock down the first time, Tim really didn't know what to do and wasn't able to adjust on that fight. But now he was exposed and he might not regain the composure that he had once had at this weight class as his chin was tested already.

What is everyone's speculation on John Riel Casimero after a very good knockout victory against his latest opponent Saul Sanchez? If I were being honest, I was certainly very shocked that he had a knockout hehehehe. I was speculating for him to be very lazy similar to his recent fights before Saul Sanchez.

Does this imply that he will make a challenge against the best opponents in super bantamweight, presently his weight division? He should challenge someone with a high rank who also was the winner of his last fight. I reckon Murodjon Akhmadaliev should be his next opponent. I am quite certain Akhmadaliev will like this after the loss he received against Marlon Tapales hehehehehe.

Akhmadaliev and Casimero should fight each other to determine who will be Inoue’s next opponent, but I don’t think it will happen. Because of politics and the promoter that Akhmadaliev is with, Inoue will be mandated to face him next year. Casimero is with a less powerful promoter and has a harder path to a world title. I’d like to see him against Nakatani, where he would be a huge underdog but it would be an opportunity to silence his critics by beating a top pound for pound fighter.

Too much arrogance and ambition sometimes make someone have to experience failure and of course this kind of thing happens lot in boxing, I little surprised by those who are great boxers but have unstable emotions until it becomes weakness that can be used by opponents to be able to knock them out.

And for the second time Tszyu also did the same thing but it was much worse because Bakhram stopped him more embarrassingly and this was the beginning of his further away in trying to become champion, in the fight against Bakhram he fell several times and was really amazed by Bakhram powerful punches.

But with all that has happened this gives him valuable lesson and Barkham becomes fighter who makes him aware that there are still people around him for this division who may be much more dangerous and can make him feel defeated.
Who knows what it will be like in the future, what is clear is that with the injury he has received it could also be weakness in the future, maybe there will be similar incident and he must really keep his chin up when he gets back in the ring.

However, this Nakatani is on bantamweight. I reckon if John Riel Casimero will not be lazy, we can be quite certain that he can exercise more and go back to bantamweight hehehe. This is only 3 pounds smaller from super bantamweight which might not be a very big difference for a effortful boxer.

Also, agreed that Casimero is with a smaller promoter, however, this is a Japanese promoter that might cause Nakatani's team to be more accepting to talk to Casimero's team. If Casimero can knockout Nakatani in Japan and have the WBC bantamweight championship, this will certainly cause Inoue to be excited to fight him hehehehehehe. This is Casimero's opportunity, someone should suggest this to him on social media.

Yeah, it's the fantasy fight that I wanted to see, Nakatani vs Casimero, Nakatani moving up to 122 lbs and face Casimero and hopefully, he can make the weight this time if they fight is going to happen in the future.

As for Akhmadaliev, gonna be a hard path as well for him, after he lost to his title to Tapales all his hype is now gone and he has to face another good boxer as well to at least see his name on the contention again. Maybe him and Luis Nery could also be a title eliminator for WBA. As Murodjon Akhmadaliev is number 1 and Nery rank number 4.

It might be much better if Casmero can challenge Nakatani for his WBC bantamweight championship, I reckon. This would imply that Inoue's team might become more open on a champion vs. champion fight in super bantamweight where Inoue will risk his championships. Also, we can be quite certain that if the fight on Casimero and Nakatani is negotiated, it will be in Japan. If Casimero knocks out a Japanese fighter in his own home, this would certainly cause Japanese boxing fans to jeer with boiling blood in their veins. This might include Inoue heheheheheh.

In any case, it appears that Casimero was exercising lazily again. He was over the weight limit again for his latest fight?

And as a result of his laziness, he was ban for a year fighting in Japan. Nakatani just like Inoue is home grown, so he doesn't want to fight outside of his native country. And the manager of Casimero (if he still has a manager right now), is not that big and influential that he can set up a fight in the US. So this fight could be just good in paper but i do not think that it can be made right away.

Inoue obviously as all the aces right now, as reported, he will have his last fight at super bantamweight against Sam Goodman. But we don't know if this is his for good or he wanted another fight with either Nakatani or Akhmadaliev next year. For Casimero, again, if he still has his Japanese manager, maybe a fight in the Philippines is his only chance, and it could be good if he can have Marlon Tapales, another Filipino and former champion. That will be the best case scenario for him.

I wouldn't call it categorically lazy for Casimero, there are reports that he doesn't have a nutritionist to work with him regarding his weight. So maybe that is the one reason why he always fail this weight and he looks unprofessional as it is only his brother who takes care of him.

Maybe they doesn't trust anyone that's why it is a very close knit personnel he got in this team.

But for his future fight, there are a lot: Nery, Akhmadaliev and Nakatani. But still depends on how his Japanese manager can work out this the mentioned boxers. Specially money wise, for sure this fighters are looking for a good paycheck against Casimero.

Something that's already past due, it's been a while when he got stripped because of that same issue and he's been force to jump to another weight division as he can't maintain what's supposed to be the weight for him to keep his belts, now, that same issue happened again, like what you said not sure if there's only limited crew that work for his camp, it should be corrected by his new handler to avoid making that same issue again.

Fight wise, his manager needs to market him he got that skills but for sure demands from the other camps will be decent in terms of paychecks.

On Inoue, he is going to transfer to a higher division again? There are 4 challenges for Inoue on super featherweight, Nick Ball, Angelo Leo, Rafael Espinoza and presently my favorite in this division, Brandon the heartbreaker Figueroa hehehehe.

If I was the manager of Inoue, it might be very much be a good tactic to challenge the biggest name in this division and fight him in Texas where he was born. This will certainly create much hype for Inoue's name to make him a very marketable fighter for Las Vegas.
