But who knows, after his fight with Sam Goodman, he might still wanted to stay and face fellow Japanese Junto Nakatani to set the record as who is the best current Japanese boxers right now.

As for his moving up in weight, for sure those champions are waiting for him as they take notice that Inoue is going up to their weight class. I like either Brandon Figueroa or Rey Vargas for Inoue, as both are tall and could give Inoue big problem as he hasn't fought a tall and has the reach advantage against him. But if we wanted to see Inoue testing his chin and power and ring IQ, I will go with Angelo Leo, has power in both hands and one scary champion in this weight class. Koki Kameda, another Japanese fighter is also in this division, so pretty much stack up weight class and plenty of challenges for Inoue.

I like him and Brandon Figueroa square in the ring, and if we go with the triangle theory here, Fulton beat Figueroa in a tough fight and then Inoue just destroyed Fulton. But we known that this doesn't work in boxing, and as someone says, Fulton has the big advantage in terms of height so this could be a problem for Naoya. Yes, I do agree that he should be US bound for next year, US is still the center of this sports and so many of his critics, like boxing fans and analyst wanted him to go the US and test American boxers just like what Manny did if we will like to compare him to the legend and let's see if he can follow that path. Not that he will win 8 divisions, but how he goes up in weight and then destroys his opponents by knocking them out.

Yes, as much as we have Bob Arum, but he knows how to promote and bring great boxers to elite and legendary like he did to Manny Pacquiao. And so he has the blue print and he is going to apply it to Naoya Inoue to make him a legendary boxer from Japan.

Well technically he could, but it seems that for now they made up their mind to move up to the next weight class. Brandon is just one name at 126 lbs, he is just one physical specimen there which is tall like Rey Vargas who is co-champion. But there are also fighters who might have the same height with Inoue but much thicker and packs a lot of power in both hands. And this will really define how great Inoue is, if he can beat that kind of boxers here.

Not to break the bubble though, but there are a lot of great fights for him at 115 lbs, so just stay away from 118 lbs for now. Just focus on Estrada or if he want another try on Chocolatito for good measures.

There are a lot of legends at 115 lbs that he should beat and for sure he will reaffirmed his position as one of the best at this division.
