Anyway, if this is true then we might not see a Joshua-Fury fight then.

Not the first time that he has announced his retirement, even prior to 2022, he had announced his retirement as well. I'm just thinking that he will used this so called retirement plan of his as a leverage to ask for more money as "comeback" for him. Although he might have suffered psychologically from the Usyk defeat, boxers like him would just needed some rest and then be back again.

So I can't imagine him and Anthony Joshua not fighting though, still very viable and still on the line for HE Turki. And if he is being offered money that he can't refused, for sure he will step aside this so called retirement and then go and fight Joshua later.

As much as I want to believed that they are chasing greatness, sure enough this boxers are really looking for their biggest paycheck. Canelo is called a cash cow because of that, he used to have a huge contract with DAZN and then going on changing promoters from promoters and try to get the most of us his contract. So for me, he is looking for this fight because he wanted to get more money. I don't know if this is going to be in catch weight or not, but as you have said, Ryan Garcia has shows that he has problems making 140 lbs, so let's see. Who knows, there could be rehydration clause and what's not on this fight. But still a good fight, we all know that style makes fight and so I think Pitbull head movement could pose a problem on Ryan early.

Yes, he really knows who to face to in his comeback, to make him good before getting Haney in the last quarter of the year. Depends though, Cruz has been campaigning at 140 lbs already and at one point a champion. I would like for Ryan to face him at the designated 140 lbs so that he will silent all his doubters specially on the allege PED used. And it will make him legit to face Haney at 140 lbs.

Tank said that Pitbull's head is very tough, so let's see if Ryan can crack that open and score a knockdown. He lost his belt to Valenzuela and won against Fierro. So he himself is on the comeback trail and so he needed this opportunity. But I'm not seeing him defeating Garcia, so Ryan for me in a unanimous decision and then set his eyes on Devin Haney.

Let's talk about Spence, I thought that he will make a comeback fight and go after the unified 154 lbs in Fundora. And Fundora is very much interested to defend his belt, however, Spence back out on the last minute.

If he is not ready now, the time away for the ring will also affect him. If he ever comes back, he should first take an easy tune up fight to see what level he is at. I really don’t believe he will be champion again and it would be better to retire, but fighters can be stubborn and still insist on fighting when they are in no condition to do so.

Fundora has a lot of options as 154 lbs, although it make sense for him to chase Spence as this is where the money fight it. Maybe he can wait for the winner of Madrimov vs Vergil Ortiz. Or he himself takes a light and tune up fight. There is also a rising star in this weight category in Xander Zayas, so that will also be a great fight for any champion at this weight class.

But still a good fight, we all know that style makes fight and so I think Pitbull head movement could pose a problem on Ryan early.
