At least we still have the rematch between the two, but this time, there's a lot at stake because Dubois is now a champion.

And with that it's another undisputed fight + Ring Magazines title. We will just have to wait for the official announcement of this fight and maybe we will create a separate thread for it.

Yup, That's a title match between two heavyweight champions, interesting as you said since Dubios is now also a champion there are now titles that going to be competed and for sure both fighters will not going to let go and will do everything to keep and add additional belts that they've hold.

This is a fight that Usyk really wanted to happen before retiring for good. As for Dubois, he claimed that his previous fight with Usyk was somewhat unfinished because he believed he had Usyk when he landed a body shot. However, the referee ruled it as below the belt, which Dubois felt should have been scored as a knockdown. This adds an intriguing storyline to their rematch, in my opinion.

Yes, it was a controversial decision win for Usyk that time and so this rematch will set things straight for Dubois. And I think Dubois has a better chance now to win as compare to the last fight as he had gain more experience. But then again, he will be fighting the best Heavyweight right now who are so fast and has the boxing IQ. So it's either that Dubois landed his power to Usyk and shake him up. Or Usyk uses his footwork to outscore Dubois is a 12 round decision. I will tend to lean on the latter though, I think this will be Usyk's game plan, to go the whole nine yards and then frustrated Dubois.

And for me, Bivol is in a no win situation here.

I mean he will be criticized for ducking Benavidez and saying that he is afraid of the Mexican Monster, which I doubt. Second, why fight a old boxer that he recently beat? But then if he didn't give Beterbiev a rematch, the same argument that he duck Beterbiev.

But at the end of the day, it's all about the money so Bivol has to choose Beterbiev and earn record paycheck again.

But hardcore fans know that Bivol isn't avoiding anyone; it's the corrupt boxing governing bodies manipulating things to their advantage. Why didn't the WBC mandate Canelo to defend his belt against Benavidez when he was the mandatory challenger? In my opinion, the real loser here is the WBC, as they won't profit from a third fight between Bivol and Beterbiev.

Every boxers are going to be criticized anyways, so why would Bivol be bothered by those hardcore fans? or just a simply fans in the social media that for sure will tweet something negative about the 3rd fight?

I've just learned that Usyk Vs Dubois 2 has officially been scheduled:

Shame they couldn't get them to fight a bit sooner, but it's good to finally know the date.

I don't know if it is advisable for Manny to make a comeback fight. I mean what will he be accomplishing for that? And if ever he wins, is he willing to defend it to other champion who I think will beat him like Ennis. As much as we love Manny, I think it's really time to call it quits and not think of a comeback.

He still has a lot of money, traveling abroad and who knows, if he win as Senator again in the Republic of the Philippines then he should focus on his mandate as he was elected by the people. That was sparked by Usyk naming Fury as one of the potential opponents for his last fight in his career, following the scheduled fight with Dubois (on 19th July).
I'm a bit surprised that Usyk would be willing to fight Fury for the third time (I'm not sure if he was serious though) as he already beat him twice, so he has nothing to prove. I guess Fury is still a big enough name, and the trilogy fight could be the most profitable option available for Usyk.

So it seems that Murodjon Akhmadaliev has finally set up his fight against Inoue with this win against Luis Castillo. But still though, watching the clip of this fight, Murodjon seems to be very slow and if face the Monster with this speed, I don't think that he can last even 5-6 rounds as all his punches are going to be seen by Naoya.

What do you think guys? Do MJ has a chance against Inoue with this kind of performance?

@btc_angela. I cannot imply that I am excited for this fight. If Marlon Tapales can win as an underestimated underdog against Murodjon Akhmadaliev, we can quite be sure that the monster Inoue can very much win easily for this fight.

My only wish after this fight is Inoue will move to featherweight where he can fight Stephen Fulton again with a new storyline after Fulton has won against Brandon Figueroa on their rematch. This certainly creates an argument that Fulton can win against the monster in this higher weight division.

There is an upset last night as  Armando Resendiz beats Caleb Plant and derail a fight between Plant and Jermall Charlo. Two judges score the fight for Resendiz, Steve Weisfeld (116-112) and Max DeLuca (116-112), while the 3rd judge David Sutherland had it (115-113).

It was really great battle and I think the judges makes the correct score here as I also saw Resendiz specially in the championship rounds beating the champion.

This fight is for the interim WBA super middleweight. And with this win, the fight between Plant and Charlo might be in jeopardy.

Yeah, probably it will be the worst beating for Murodjon in his career. At least though he was given a chance to fight the Monster as he has been calling him out for the last couple of years as compare to again, Casimero who might have been forgotten already.

We will still have to see, but base on the last fight of Inoue in the US, he was knockdown again. So it doesn't look good for him and if he ever goes up in weight and go for a rematch against Fulton, maybe it will be a different outcome this time.

^^ I never heard of this fight until you put it here. And it seems that Nonito still has something in him to chase another belt, even if it is interim here. But to be honest, he is not even comparable to Pacquiao.

He is great no doubt about it, but it seems that when he lost to Inoue via knockout, it's the end of Nonito's prime. Because after that if I'm not mistaken, he also lost another fight for the belt. So let's see, he is fighting some unknown fighter and maybe this level of a fighter he can beat. But once he goes up against big names, he might not end up good for the aging Donaire.
