Its predetermined already that gambling might also be massive when metaverse is finally realized. The business will be booming once it happens, kind of more enjoyable when it's more realistic while we are just at home playing it. Pretty much this is really where the next big move of every big tech company today.
If engaging in online casinos or sports betting in metaverse equates to being an audience in the sports arena, it will be more like sci-fi movies such as Player one. Every casino online will probably develop to be part of the metaverse.

Surely online gambling is on the rise in the past 10 years and in the last 5years, the attention to gambling is massive. It is true to say gambling is on the increase and if we want a confirmation to that, this forum is evident of that as the campaigns that have opened here in the last 3 years are gambling sites, at least if not all of them except few like chipmixer. Moreso gambling is an area of life for youths majorly between 15 - 24 so it enjoys huge patronage from the youth. And one reason that gambling is on the rise is because of this patronage, every investor likes ROI. Gambling is a popular pastime for adults, whether it is purchasing lotto tickets, betting on sports games or casino-style gambling. Unsurprisingly, internet gambling has also become popular; it is so popular that in the fall of 2011, comScore found that online gambling was the fastest growing online category, with almost 10 million U.S. users.
Global online gambling is now worth an estimated $30 billion. And online poker is estimated to be worth $6 billion annually in the US alone, as the Justice Department has apparently opened the door to internet gambling by reversing their longtime position that online poker and betting was illegal. ReadThis trend of gambling increase may continue longer because the population of youth in the world is on the increase. For example according to Population FactNow with the covid-19 pandemic every business is trying to establish presence online too with some having mobile office online and gambling is not far from such business. This can not be extricated from the fact we know covid-19 protocols and the need for social distancing. Gambling will therefore continue to be on the rise with the increase of her highest patronage (the young adults) in the world.

Here in the United States gambling has gone the way of marijuana legalization and has started easing gambling requirements greatly and in a hurry. I’m from the state of Illinois and it’s been adding gambling options in a hurry. Damn near every gas station here has slot machines. My prediction is this spreads to every other state and quickly. Sports stadiums will also likely allow for in game betting soon as well !

I think with the further development of blockchain technology and meta universes we will see more and more online casinos where AR/VR can be used and all bets in the game will be fully verifiable with smart contracts and Oracles. The idea is that this should attract even more people to gambling.

The gambling industry will always stay profitable, however, regulations will be stricter especially in poor countries, but in rich countries where most people can afford to gamble, they will just likely increase the taxes so the government will benefit from the industry. With the popularity of crypto gambling as well, it gives the regulators more opportunity to earn and the entire industry will grow as gambling across borders made possible and easy with cheap transaction cost.

I would like to agree on that. During this pandemic, where almost all of the industries and activities had to shift from physical to online form, online gambling is undoubtedly one of those industries that have been successfully transitioned to the online space. And with that, it is not surprising that its patronage continuously increases, especially with the rise of those who are being interested to gamble, and those indulging with crypto as well.

What is your personal bet on the next big events in the betting industry? I think large nations and organizations like the european union will seek to heavily regulate and restrict gambling. While smaller struggling nations will deregulate their gambling industry in an effort to create jobs and entice capital inflow from an influx of new residents: gamblers seeking a region to settle in which caters to user friendly gambling laws. Many small nations already struggle with exceedingly low employment and other negative economic statistics which dwarf negative aspects of gambling. Legalizing marijuana and decriminalizing drugs are two steps many small nations already do in an effort to boost their economies. I think a similar approach to gambling will be embraced as it grows as a global industry. Larger and more wealthy nations can get away with having more restrictive regulation and high taxation. While smaller and less wealthy nations have lower wonk tolerance for that type of approach.

Undoubtedly so. If you at the indices on the quote you see the rise in young people and this age is the range that are now in the drive to make money by whatever means they think it can happen and no wonder gambling is on the rise. It is believed that you put little into gamble and you get more , this is the notion that youths are scrambling to succeed through it.

Half of the bet I'll be saving for next year is exploring the Metaverse and stashing some financial opportunities within it. To have a place to put on display at a big auction. No doubt everyone is targeting the Metaverse a lot, I've also tried to learn one by one from what will be big next year. If this is a form of embodiment of the 3D era which will be the most ideal system for storing bets.

It's upgraded to the metaverse and they are using VR for the most gambler, sounds cool and interesting. W know the gambling industry has been evolved to the internet and there's become online gambling casinos and since people would like to stay at home it could be upgraded to the latest and coolest one which is more in reality. Metaverse has been there and rumored that it could be applied to the gambling industry and in fact, there some casino that already supported and which has many of gamblers using VR for a perfect gambling activity.

There are more countries struggling today which we see they've screwed up thier economy so if they are going that route where they'd legalize marijuana or decriminalize drugs, there'd be more chaos. I can't imagine my country will do this but there are lots of illegal drug activities already even before this crisis. Some interviews I've seen is that they are saying countries will develop CBDC and that they'd be creating more of their economic activities online and among it will be gambling. If metaverse will be the future, I prefer to be in that club. So there will not just be slot machines on gas stations but state-sponsored online casinos.

the larger this gambling market, the greater the number of people who are losing money, one of the biggest problems in this industry will be to make people understand that gambling is just fun, they should not be seen as a quick way to win money, governments have also been working with gambling companies in this regard. I think large nations and organizations like the european union will seek to heavily regulate and restrict gambling. Of course governments will do that, there are many people who are irresponsible and are losing money in gambling

I am pretty sure the next big move would be few countries and locations becoming the hub of the gambling industry, which does mean that most of the gambling companies would be Concentrated there, the license will come from there and rjengivern will impose heavy taxes on that region and whosoever is controlling that country overall would be greatly benefited. I see UK emerging on the top with their own corruption and restrictions making the whole game a lot easier, with other countries like India, try and get into the whole idea of Gambling as well, cuz they do allow horse racing so I do not get why they won't allow poker and other things online. Then we would also see the expansion of the market and death of many companies since at the end of the day competition would be fruitful.

With the creation of the metaverse, I think this will be a breath of fresh air for the realm of gambling because indeed they have a place there and this will benefit both parties. I feel that the longer the realm of gambling will get better and bigger because it is true that today's gambling connoisseurs are not only found in certain genders. Men, women, adults, young people, even children are now on this path and this will definitely continue to develop along with the times

I have no specific next big industry that will make a significant move by next year other than Metaverse, well, NFT will still on the picture and many play to earn games will born like what had happened this year however, I do consider too a significant growth in online gambling as it was already started circulating this year. The maximize used of internet today due to pandemic became the most effective way to introduces many online earning platforms to people and even gambling are now available in online too.

I think it will just increase but I think it's inevitable that gambling industry may change shift as well during its time likely with the rise of Metaverse and other industry that booming. This will get interconnected and I think gambling will surely have a fraction on that, just my two cents.

When Covid is still there and people can not go to a public area for free like before, online things will become a new wave because people can explore a new world they can not imagine before. It is happening in the gambling industry, especially we are now living in the digital era in which almost everything connects to the internet so that brings a new challenge for every developer to introduce new things to people.
So with the internet connection, everything will get easy and make people use the internet for anything they want, including for playing gambling. It makes a gambling business evolve and reach new people to online gambling games. It needs more regulations from the government to control online gambling, which is not easy as it imagines because it crosses the border of their jurisdiction.

What is your personal bet on the next big events in the betting industry? I think we're already seeing it happen in the background right now and it's more to do with the USA - a naturally rich market that generates large profits for casinos. Many states are changing their stance on gambling, including some of the most prominent like New York. They're coming up with limited new licensing restrictions and taking the stance that it should be legal but heavily taxed on the corporate side. It makes sense really because historically all the money has just flown into Las Vegas and funded the state of Nevada. It's going to happen either way but like the legalization of Cannabis, eventually we might see normalized gambling regulations for the whole country.

Some headlines:
- Online sports betting sites come to live in the middle of 90s. These have evolved massively (online poker did not even have graphics at first).
- Regulations on gambling are clarified and old laws reinterpreted
- In 2019, Disney generated around 55B. The gambling industry 59B.
Another note about the gambling industry is metaverse. I think gambling has a promising future in the Metaverse. According to some news, some great popular casinos started allowing its users to make deposits using cryptocurrencies and this will bring the whole concept of gambling in metaverse to the mainstream. Also using NFTs is another giant step for the gambling market to achieve some great milestones. About the comparaison between Disney and the gambling industry, the gaming industry took the positive impact from the expanding growth of movies production platforms like Netflix which reduced the benefits generated by Disney and Hollywood. The same comparaison won't apply between the movies industry and the gambling industry .
