Most of the trend today is relayed on the world of NFT so there's an instance or chance might be they will adopt this kind of a trend right now afaik there's a thread too related to the Gambling and metaverse and also the virtual reality due to pandemic many people now are would like to entertain with this trends its the new meta of the gambling industry well looking forward on it lets see.
The pandemic has given the idea to everyone about the metaverse. And now that it has become a trend, everybody is thinking that it can be applied to almost all things that we do in our lives which includes gambling. Well, it's really possible but to see that it happen is what we have to be patient of. In the moment that we're discussing, we have no idea on what particular crypto casino is going to have this feature to attract more customers get into them just because they have their casino in the version of metaverse.

I personally love the way things are right now and a change to Metaverse which everyone here is talking about and since everyone it is talking about some crypto casinos can take it seriously and make it reality.I am a traditional gambler which just plays sport betting and slot machines most of the time with some fewer times roulette and blackjack.I am very very happy with the huge variety of the slot machines by different providers and even if Metaverse becomes a reality in crypto casinos I will still keep playing the traditional games.I don't like such dramatic changes in most of other industries as well, change is good but not always, why change something that has proved that it works great for something which you don't know how it will go ?
The metaverse is, of course, wonderful and interesting.

But there is one, as yet unresolved question.  The fact is that there are already more than 100 or even more than 200 projects of metauniverses. But we live in the same real Universe.  If this set of MetaUniverses does not unite into one large Metaverse, then they will be some kind of fragmented garbage for a narrow circle of users.
And accordingly, the casino in each of them will be just bullshit incomparable with the usual existing physical or even virtual casino from our universe. Smiley

In my opinion, very large financial investments are needed to create a full-fledged Metaverse.

We need powerful servers, 6g communication towers, virtual reality devices, programmers, designers, etc.

Government support is also needed.  Only a large IT company can make such investments.  I'm talking about companies like Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Xiaomi, etc.

Therefore, there will not be very many Metaverses.  There will be 5 - 6 - no more.

Virtual reality devices need to be much more common and made much more affordable. The popularity it should have by now just has not happened. As far as investors go, I believe that a sufficient enough investment into that area could be made if it were adopted more by the people, instead of hoping for big investors pouring money into it. In fact, if Mark Zuckerberg can't make the cut by pouring his money into Metaverse, then what chance do other investors have?

I don't see the need for 6g when we can barely get everyone onboard with 5g....

Things are becoming exciting for sure because we're going to see how the Metaverse will have the transition from the usual projects to another one and that includes gambling.
There are still a lot of matters that are yet to be seen with that application and many have become aware of how it goes because of the idea of how it has made things new in the crypto scene.

This is by far the most exciting, and I believe that the majority of young gamblers who are interested in technology are particularly enthusiastic about it, as it represents a novel and entertaining experience for them. I am hoping that this will be a success, but I believe that it will take some time to complete and that it will not be released until a later date. I am also unsure of the equipment that will be used and how expensive it will be, as well as the gadgets that will be required. We are hoping that this will be affordable for everyone so that we can all enjoy it.

You have listed practically all the evil corporations that collect users' personal data and use it at their own discretion. It seems to me that the world will increasingly move away from such centralized companies towards open source development and in my opinion that would be the best solution. Even if it is not as convenient to use, we won't have to worry about our data. I hope soon WEB 3 will be used everywhere.

also worth remembering that when internet came some said newspapers would end, when ebooks came many said it was the end for books... we still see books around and newspapers too (thought I could agree that maybe newspapers won't last much longer...)

Technology has been in existence right from the medieval days and with time, it has revolves and disintegrated into different forms and it the loop has been going on for long, it doesn't end it one place, it will continue to progress but you see books, I doubt if it will every be replace, even the so historians and advanced archeologist still want some documentation should be in book written form, not everything will go digital.
I think I'm the only one that hate technology replacing every aspect of sports, the fun is fading away without us realizing it.

Books can't be replaced and it's not a true saying that it has already been replaced by the ongoing fast paced technology like the internet. Books are still relevant and will still be even in the coming next century to come since there are still advantages we can find in it. For sports, I think some of the great like football can't be easily replaced by the technology we have right now, it will still thrive.

It will take some time before most casinos will have it and there's a possibility that not all of them are interested in it. Like being static would be already good enough for them because that's what their demand and market say so, there's no need to push that.
But for sure the new gen of gamblers would like to try almost everything and if there's a casino that has this new application of metaverse, they'll come and get there.

^ Once it will become trending, more of those new generation gamblers will surely confuse and try the new one and I think this metaverse will always be on their taste of a new generation right now. It is not hard to embrace this new generation of metaverse all they need to do is extra money to buy this gadget and they can play like in the real world. I have many friends who wanted to play on a VR mode and no doubt it is also in gambling since it is very easy to use like playing poker in one table together with your friends using a VR game.

I would love to play poker in a Metaverse built on decentralized web 3.0.  !

But the problem with decentralized systems is that it is difficult for them to concentrate a large amount of resources at one point.  Decentralized systems are very flexible, but they are (in my opinion) not well suited for the implementation of large infrastructure projects.

The Metaverse is just such a project.  This is not only software, but also hardware and government permits and licenses.

In this sense, it is easier for large IT companies to implement such projects.

They're curious and explorers so that will really make them try the new trend if it ever comes.
Upon the purchase of any gadget that requires them to get involved in the metaverse, they'll really mind having that if it's required. But there can be also another improvement soon that there will be no more need of that and that's going to get more attention and you're just in front of your screen wearing those headsets walking through the metaverse in the casino.  Cool

in these times is when they have more affinity towards the digital, in fact everything that is happening in the world of the war drums of Russia and Ukraine is becoming more and more acute and they will have the world in a clear pressure and this will keep many people on the internet and trying to look for jobs there, teleworking is already a fact and therefore one of the things that most arise are the casinos, the bookmakers because it is what shines the most in a moment of crisis.

The metaverses are the great hope for many games, among which the NFTs are also focused, which have mostly had a very bad reputation, if things are done well I think the metaverses are the solution to everything.
I think he was trying to explain that the interest in online stuff is going to decline because the state of the pandemic is not stricter anymore than usual although his first few sentences are similar to what you're pointing to. Wars that happen in Ukraine and Russia could affect the economy but I think they will also affect the online industry. there was news recently that Russia is going to ban the internet.

Now, tell me how can people make an escape online? In some countries where the internet is still active, they can find careers online or work as a gambling representative/staff but to play on the casino and treat it as a job? that's risky.

As for the Internet in Russia, the situation has two sides.

On the one hand, foreign backbone providers can cut Russia off from the global Internet.  But many public organizations do not agree with such actions.  They believe that this will only help the totalitarian regime in Russia.

On the other hand, the Russian authorities also want to create a sovereign Internet, completely cutting it off from the global Internet (including Bitcoin and online casinos).

However, the sanctions imposed against Russia will lead to its technological degradation.  And internal isolation from the global Internet requires huge financial investments in traffic filtering technology.

Therefore, I think that Russia will not be cut off from the global Internet, either from the inside or the outside.

Bitcoin will remain the world's decentralized virtual currency.  Online casinos will operate all over the world.

.

Therefore, I think that Russia will not be cut off from the global Internet, either from the inside or the outside.

Bitcoin will remain the world's decentralized virtual currency.  Online casinos will operate all over the world.
However, such a scenario cannot be completely ruled out.
Russia has been preparing for many years for the possibility of disconnecting from the global Internet and switching to the local Internet.
But I really don't think this will happen.

Now the world has just launched an unprecedented campaign against their special military operation and a lot of fakes denigrating this country.  These fakes and news about Ukraine in general will soon annoy everyone and begin to disappear from the global information space of the Internet.
Now everything is on emotions, adrenaline, but this will end soon and Russia will not disconnect the Internet from the global Internet.

So I think that casino users in all countries and in Russia should not worry either.

And access to any crypto-casino with a wide range of coins and tokens - this is how I see the near future of this gambling industry.

~snip~
Cool
Today's generation of young people is very curious, especially when it comes to new technology that sounds foreign to them. They can spend hours trying to understand how the system works and if they are really interested in the new thing, they will dig into it until they really understand it. Young people now also seem to have their own money to buy the tools needed to use VR games so maybe some have started to own and use them. If this is going to be some new trend among the youngsters but if it is in a casino, it may need further development to attract gamblers to use it. But sooner or later, if it is booming, gamblers will surely become curious and want to try it too.

I agree, it seems that 5G is just too many G's to lift of and reach escape velocity, to put it in a funny way. There is also a concern for safety related to the slow implementation of the technology since the speed of data transmission makes it more difficult to control. On regards to gaming, I do not see how the internet of things may give business opportunities to gambling, but I am eager to see how the industry uses it.

You have listed practically all the evil corporations that collect users' personal data and use it at their own discretion. It seems to me that the world will increasingly move away from such centralized companies towards open source development and in my opinion that would be the best solution. Even if it is not as convenient to use, we won't have to worry about our data. I hope soon WEB 3 will be used everywhere.

you have a point
I think we'll end up with a mix, with more people learning about the importance of privacy and taking care of their data
but also more people falling for the convenience trap and ending up giving even more information to third-parties...

If other people don't care about your personal data, then what does it matter if they obtain it? Other people have stated that they do not want their personal information obtained. This is the biggest debate of all time. I believe that as technology advances, we will be forced to divulge more and more of our personal information to third parties. This is similar to the situation in China, where all of their citizens' personal information is collected and used for the greater good. No idea how they will handle our data with this, but I am hoping that they will use it for the betterment of the community.

But at the same time, it wouldn't be all that odd for services that provide at the very least pseudo-anonymity to actually pop out, just like how Bitcoin was released in 2010. What centralization offers is more on the side of convenience at the cost of storing your info (which is understandable imo), but if the general process or technology improves the way where processing of info or stuff like that can be done as easy as centralized stuff does, then it will surely happen.

I still don't think gambling would go out of it though. It's always going to have that centralized gambling area and a non-centralized (black market) ones.

Definitely.
That's the reason why there is more interest from the new gen of gamblers because they're the ones that can easily understand the underlying technology that can be adopted soon by casinos.
They'll make the sound louder if it's worth it to try and that's likely due to the new experience that they'd like to have. So spending if it's required, won't matter much to them.

The key here is how they use and obtain personal data. for example: if they collect the information about their users, they must keep it safe and use only when the official authorities will have special permission to check the data for security reasons(such as money laundering and etc.) and the whole process must be transparent.
