Egypt is experienced, but Cameroon is host, and that is obviously a big thing in Africa (where it isn't?) - somehow Cameroon is seen in final, and they will try to get there "by all means"

But what was perhaps more amazing is only one guy Trofo picked a draw despite many people here predicting in this thread the upset.

I don't call that amazing I call that integrity What can I say a sour looser here since I am the only one without the point for the game but at least I stayed strong to my beliefs

Indeed, very few people can stay strong to their beliefs in gambling. For example,,, the only time I can ever bet a big bet on Spurs is if it is a freebet   Of course the same loyalty leads me to lose a lot of money as the only games we seem to win since 2019 has low odds

I can't picture myself betting on snooker because I only enjoy playing it with friends for fun;  if I'm not betting football or UFC, sometimes tennis then im not betting.

I've got my eyes on the final between Senegal and Cameroon, so I'm going with Cameroon to advance on my bet, but it's difficult to predict the scoreline. Yesterday, Burkina Faso lost it at 72 minutes, they had lost control for 30 minutes and were punished for it. They have done themselves proud by progressing past the quarter-finals in their last three AFCON appearances, something that other top teams have not been able to achieve. They have a talented squad that must continue to improve.

Senegal are in their second consecutive AFCON final, they lost to Algeria in 2019 can they finally carry this one?

I assume that the biggest reason for not being able to choose the draw option in the pool is that they count extra time also. And this is not logical to me.

I went with Cameroon 2-1 win, hoping I keep up with being at the top spot.

 bet for tonight is on Over 2.5 @ 3.21 Odds. It's not the smartest decision but given that only 2 of Cameroon matches so far have been less than 3 goals, I believe there might be a chance.

Not looking likely, sorry I ruined it for you. My snooker finished just as second half was starting so I started watching and of course no goals. That Salah chance when Cameroon player gave him a ball perfectly sums up this AFCON for me. Whenever I touch it, it is a bad touch

I knew the chances to begin with, but Egypt really were so comfortable being on the back foot, no real intention of winning the game in regular or extra time, and that's how they've been for majority of tournament.

We're into penalties, and congratulations to those that went with draw in the pool.

Wow guys, what an ending. Egypt has not won a single match after group stage in regular time, and now went 2 penalty kicks up.

To be fair, and I know I could be saying this because I bet on Egypt but I lost anyway as it was a draw... but Egypt actually deserved to win this as the officiating was not up to par. I counted at least 2 corners that weren't given, 2 key offsides that were not even close, and all kinds of fouling that the ref ignored. Cameroon were great up to this stage and they were better as a team but tonight the chances were better designed by the Pharaohs.

Salah didn't even need to take his turn too as the Cameroonians turned out to be really poor PK takers... weak shots and one wide.

Those guys from Cameroon competed who will shot the penalty worse. Don't remember last time it was that easy to go trough penalties.

So you are happy one of the Reds is gonna be champ, I was sort of thinking LFC supporters would prefer to see them come home and play for them. Add to that a fact that Salah & Mane have some sort of rivalry between them and it almost looked like bad blood in some cases and you could have some real dressing room problems in case we have some intense situation in final. And this AFCON is full of those situations.

I really don't want to use the word "underserving", because at the end of the day all that matters is who wins or make it to the next stage, but then both finalist really haven't done much so far this tournament. Perhaps, we could argue that they're just been conservative and playing out the tactics that best suits them, because if you look far back to the first 2 games, I wouldn't have nominated either/or both team to make it to the finals, and I don't think a lot of people here would have either.

It's likely going to be another 0 - 0 finals, but the third place match should make up for the entertainment, imo.

agree, Salah made enough magic to kick-out Morocco, that was the match when they were closest to go home
they have obviously play defense, and will play on 0:0 in the final as well, actually they would probably play all matches to 0:0 if there wasn't for penalty in early stage against Morocco

I heard they are watching exclusively Greek national team games from that EURO in Portugal. Of course they are adding a bit more to defense since that Greek team was way too loose with their counter attacks. When Egypt counter attacks, only Salah runs while the rest of the team are making sure they are in top defensive shape

At the very least, Egypt was the only team eager to compete, unlike Senegal players who sits and waits for counter-attacks to win games. Egypt deserved to be in the final.

What Golden boot? He isn't even Egypt's best player in the competition; Zizou is the team's current top player; the young Egyptian has performed admirably thus far in the competition. With three goals and two assists, Mane has a better chance than Salah to win the MVP award if Senegal wins the trophy.

^ Indeed, it's an outside chance, but you never know, Mane is the PK taker so he can still score a hattrick and tie with Aboubakar -- but then he could also score against Burkina Faso, so I think the Golden Boot is already safe with Cameroon.

Who else had Senegal or Egypt as the outright? I'm perhaps more disappointed than most that they haven't played their brand of football that hooked me since the Japan/SKorea World Cup 2 decades ago, or even the ultra attacking team of 2019, but I guess as I also said before, both Egypt and Senegal are experienced, and Senegal WANTS badly to win their first one, so they probably controlled the games and want to finish high.

Egypt though prove why they're the top holders... it's not my favourite style of football, but their game management is top-tier -- Gabraski for the last 2 games probably wasted 15 whole minutes on his own just being injured haha.

What's sickening for me is 3 bets on Egypt, all above 4/1, and losing all of them despite them progressing every time. What the hell haha.

Still, I'm going to hedge on them in case Senegal are again prevented from lifting the title!

So, Cameroon decided to field their weakest team available today (butWhy.gif), they were 3-0, manager realizes he messed up big time and makes three subs and those subs turned things around in just 20 minutes to make it 3-3... wth??    btw, @cls63 and @Harko secured a spot in the top 3 of the leaderboard, that's a free bet and a mistery prize for each! congrats 👍
