Not gonna comment for the rest but Japan is a top team and I would watch them over any African team anytime. They play just the kind of football I like and are in top form at the moment. They were freely scoring against many top European countries and they have much better tactical awareness then African teams.

I must admit I am not watching African football and while they have some top talent those matches I watched almost always leave me disappointed. There were so many poor games and tactical errors in last AFCON, I really hope this one will be much better.

I have pick Morocco is favorite team for winning AFCON regarding their performance in World Cup 2022, indeed have Egypt with Mohamad Salah and Victor Osimhen with Nigeria I think Morocco have more solid composition for winning AFCON 2022. Lets me know with rule and how to participants if our favorite national teams lead until semifinal or final stage but not be the winner will get chance to win this event or not?

I did not expect to see somebody completely new to our pools so here is some more info that isn't mentioned in the pools. I can see English is not your first language so maybe someone from your local can help you even more if necessary.

All the predictions are done on Superbru site and we are predicting correct scores in all AFCON games. 3 points for correct score, 1 point for ML and 1.5 points for close score. It is all explained on Superbru site in more detail. Your chance to actually win something is depending on how good all other participants here do as well. You can sign up to Superbru and see how it looks than later on if you decide to join, send me a pm with tx confirmation and I will send you the link to our pool.

I never said the fans ultra chants ain't good enough, I was only trying to make a point that the Asians are more into athletic sports, cricket and baseball and not much into football. They are good at what they do.

The last edition was the only boring AFCON with less goals because it was played under horrible conditions, as I have explained, so you can't use it as a benchmark. There is no top European team without a top African player; the biggest issue in African football is corruption, as well as the poor condition of most stadiums, which makes some matches unwatchable. Only a few African countries have nice and standard stadiums; the most are dreadful.

Comparing the Scottish and South African leagues to some random Asian leagues is a heinous crime. With a gun to my head, I can name more than ten Scottish and South African clubs, along with their star players and upcoming fixtures. The same cannot be said for the most popular Asian league (China).

For example, Australia - Mozambique. Or Iran - Tanzania. Saudi Arabia - Angola?

For share of the prizes check my La liga or Serie A pools. It will be somewhere on the line on those percentages. Maybe 5 paid spots with no.1 getting a big chunk 30-45%. Really though to work it out before I know how many people will play.

Well, jokes aside, Asian football is gaining popularity, and several of its stars, such as Son, Mitoma, and Heew Chan, are also leading their respective clubs in Europe.

This is a bit shorter tournament that usual leagues. I can tolerate a small delay but I would prefer if everyone joins before first game kicks off. One week in tournament like this is 1/4 of the competition. If it is about payment we can always agree on something, either I pay for you or you pay with small delay but promise to play before the deadline.

For me there is just 2 teams from Asia that is interesting to watch - South Korea and Japan. While African teams have more bigger names, but so often watching their games ends with big disappointment. But in general, I don't see big difference between level of Asian and African level. Best indicator is results in World - for both getting out of group is already big achievement. In 2018 just Japan managed to do it. Last World Cup is already different story when we had Japan and South Korea from Asia and Senegal and offcourse Morocco in knockout stages.

Scottish league is biggest mystery, why do they have it on Superbru. In general, this league is all about 4 games in season - Old Firm derby. Rest games like Motherwell - Kilmanrock is difficult to watch.

I know Algerian and Morocco ultras are the best (I love their chants too) but these are guys who will regularly see good regional and international football, with pretty good coverage. I really think you're doing Asian football a disservice. Yes it's low quality. Yes even the pitches are like cow farms when it rains. Yes it's shit.

Not going to argue about it. Sometimes I randomly tune in streams ofsome Japanese or South Korea league games on weekend mornings and damn, what atmosphere they have issomething amazing. But on the other hand, plenty of games of AFC Champions league is played in half empty stadiums.
Ultras in Algeria and Morocco is huge thing andwhat crazy performances they make. I don't know much about African football, but I'm mostly amazed about Raja Casablanca ultras.
Another question is level of football in these regions, but it's not problem to be passionate about game and supporting your team.

I mean what could be more shameful than an African cable satelite not airing the AFCON despite costing a fortune to have their shitty service, and yet we have ecowas leaders and at least the house of senates and representatives in Nigeria, when DSTV cannot even air AIT, and NTA for free, airing national television for free is the barest minimum requirement that should be the prerequisite for a cable that wishes to run its service in any sane country, I suppose.

I totally agree with you. I'm not a big football fan, my whole family is mainly cricket but I think foreign people always seem to feel like football is less of culture here. But they never speak from experience.

I saw your Youtubes, many more videos of European footballers who retire now discover South East Asia, and they are really shocked to learn how crazy the football here is. But obviously not for all countries/teams. But I think it's special here also, it's a past midnight culture, I don't think anywhere else in the world is this, maybe Igeabotz is always sleeping when the Asian football fans come out lol

In Asia many people stay up past midnight to watch football, it is a weekly thing. For me I only choose certain times because I must go to work at 5am/6am But many friends play football after work, we are talking around 10pm, then after that go watch football. And then go to work with little sleep every week ( we all work Saturday too).

I cannot dream most Europeans would do this, they even must leave office at 5pm sharp, not a single European colleague comes in on weekend so I can't even expect them to stay up late for football to come to work with little sleep lol

Football culture is different, but not less or more. In Europe you have teams 100+ years old, in Asia our teams go bankrupt, short lifespan so most people only can support national teams.

There isn't any pool for Asian cup. I was toying with the idea of organizing it as a small brother to this pool with fraction of the awards going there but it isn't even available on Superbru and at this point i don't think it will be. We are getting too close to the start.

If someone knows a site organizing it in similar fashion like Superbru let me know but I don't really think it is feasible making people do another account somewhere for the pool with minimal interest to begin with.

This will never happen in the foreseeable future, except on PlayStation. Has Thailand ever beaten an African team? They lost to both Angola and South Africa in last two.
