Drones struck two oil tankers in the Black Sea on Tuesday, including one chartered by U.S. oil major Chevron, opens new tab, the companies involved said, as they sailed toward a terminal on the Russian coast.

What you are really talking about is what is happening to Ukrainians all over Ukraine... because of Russia's bombing, and droning, and attacks that those frozen Russians are doing against Ukrainian troops. Robbing your own direct neighbors - leads to nothing as they aren't nowhere close to being "rich". Robbing anyone in "mother Russia" - that's the thing. Kidnapping, trading drugs and false currency bills, multiple other possibilities. Getting subsidies and bonuses from Russia and so on. After all - you can fight for it, and your genetic desire to be a warrior will be satisfied. Take out Russia from this equation - and you'll be free from all those possibilities, periodically getting "strategically bombed" into stone age if you try becoming an "offshore criminal enterprise" by your neighbors.
Digging in the past is great - but if you try building your future on something that was a long time ago - nothing good will happen. EU is built from countries that have stopped looking into the past. Because that past is full of wars - big and small, territorial clashes and other issues. It really isn't that Russia wouldn't trade with the world. They are doing so with their oil and gas, and would be, much more, with other things if the West hadn't attempted to sanction them.

But the West - particularly the bankers - want the control over Russian lands. And this is what the Ukraine War is all about. But Russia is asking for development help, as long as they get to keep what is theirs.

Me, desperate? I just take no pleasure in watching slavs freezing, miserable without power, and killing each other over west's failed attempt to wrestle Ukraine from Russia. Believe that I've been consistent in wanting to go back to the status quo of 2013, you know to before Nuland's cookies arrived in Ukraine! Ukraine must be neutral/friendly to Russia, no NATO, yes to EU, return Russian language, literature, music, religion, culture and remove nazi Bandera streets. and allow people to vote for their president.

Look up how much gold Russia holds and how many years that would cover the deficit in Russia's budget. Or did you actually start to believe the nonsense that montaga is spewing, don't drink your own cool aid!

Ukraine seems to be successful into choosing their new allies. I mean... from we will take Ukraine in three days to we will NOT take Ukraine in three years - and you telling others to wake up... it is starting to sound ridiculous.

Oil can be bought from anyone in the market as gas can be bought from anyone in the market, it is mostly indifferent, it is a commodity. However it is interesting how Europe is closing ties with Argentina, which will be a major (cheap) producer for the next couple of decades. After all, it seems that Europe has learned to feed bears.
