Fury has been on the canvas when Cunningham caught him. He also hit the canvas a couple of times against Wilder too. If Fury gets hit with a powerful punch from Whyte, then he could hit the floor but will get up. What are the chances of Whyte getting up from the mandatory count if Fury knocks him down?
He might get up from the extra motivation of being given the chance for the belts, but I would think Fury puts him down a few times once he gets hurt. This will be one of those fights where I'm absolutely bricking it before, and during fight just because in any sensible world Fury should win this nine times out of ten, but you just know boxing loves to throw up some wild results now, and again which would ruin the idea of a Usyk or Joshua fight for the belts in the future.

Only saving grace is Whyte has visibly declined in recent years, and while he definitely does have power he leaves himself very open. We either get a super motivated Whyte who takes note of his defensive issues or we get a lazy Whyte who swings big, and ultimately if he doesn't connect gets knocked out himself.

Fact is Hearn failed to negotiate a better deal for Whyte Cheesy

The deal is not a bad one. Infact, it is a breakthrough when you consider it to be the highest Dillian Whyte has gotten in his entire boxing career.

What are the chances of Whyte getting up from the mandatory count if Fury knocks him down?
He might get up from the extra motivation of being given the chance for the belts,

You are counting on the influence of bets to get him up the canvass if he hits it. As funny as that sounds it will be a good motivation still. But he can do nothing if the strength is not there.

and again which would ruin the idea of a Usyk or Joshua fight for the belts in the future.

Let this war with Russia not spoil anything for the rematch. I saw picture of Usyk in military uniform in preparation to defend his country in the war. I want to see him come out of it alive.

Joshua just comes out a statement that he is
Quote
‘I’m rooting for Dillian [to beat Fury], even though I hate him’

This is very strange he should be neutral and if he is going to the side he should side with Fury so the mega fight will push through provided that he beat Usyk, the boxing community prefers Joshua and Fury battle it out with a belt at stake, not both of them without a title or only one with the title, so it will become a winner take all match.

In almost every aspect, Fury have the advantage like the reach, height, experience and ring IQ particularly the KO rate.

You expect him to side with Dillian Whyte to beat Fury. For sure Whyte will present a less difficult opponent to fight than Fury to Anthony Joshua. The contradiction there is even you wanting him to either remain neutral or side with Fury. Why should he side with one and not the other? It is his pick to wish and make.

provided that he beat Usyk

Anthony Joshua's fight with Usyk may not hold again as the Ukrainian has gone to join his country in the war against Russia. Nobody knows what the outcome of that will be. I hope he comes out safe.

I got your point but Whyte have no other choice either but to just sign the contract and accept the deal that he is just only entitled 20% of the cut. Besides, there's actually no need to fret on those things because this is his biggest paycheck in his whole career. Also it is already kind of obvious that Whyte is just trying to get into Fury's head but the funny thing is Fury doesn't care.

Fury is actually more into actions than words. He doesn't care about any negative things being thrown at him. He's too focused on preparing for his upcoming match. I'm sure that it will be too hard for Whyte to beat him not just because of his edges but his focus and dedication.

Yes, but we can see now that he's been quite talkative lately. Fury sure have the advantage here aside from being the heavy favorite and certainly Whyte knows about that well. But I can also see that Whyte is also very dedicated to shape up and put some huge effort in preparing this fight in-order to keep up with Fury's skills.

Actually the harsh words during the meeting between the two were dramas that made the match spectacular, but one of them did not reply with harsh words like the Khabib vs McGregor (UFC) match, both of them must be very focused on preparing hard in the match to increase the winning points, April 2022 is big PPV match month for boxing, ufc and wresling.

We know that technically everything can happen in a fight however, Fury is so complete that it is difficult to pull an upset over him, after all he has the size, technique, chin and punching power, he has all what is necessary to be a great champion and he has demonstrated this above the ring over and over again.

So the only way that I could see Whyte winning is that somehow Fury got overconfident and he did not trained as hard as he could while at the same time Whyte gave the best performance of his career.

Wow this may just be a win for Tyson fury on the paper but Many people that knows him knows Whyte is a very stubborn athletes, although like others I believe Tyson Fury should come out victorious but we have seen what happened to Anthony Joshua against the Mexican, and he was chosen to win the match but he lost, so I guess there would be more pressure right now on Tyson fury to win and I hope this doesn't swallow him up well good luck to the two participants.

Any boxer do ends up with this kind of behavior would definitely be having problems and that would be a possible upset to happen.Im not really that underestimating much on Whyte on this fight yet

this dude has the ample power on taking down GypsyKing but this would really entirely vary if he could land up a solid or clean one but we know that Fury's chin isnt really that something brittle plus
having that good technicalities which really make things even more harder to penetrate specially on its defense.

Since Whyte is the challenger, it is quite expected that he will do his best to shape up and put a good show trying to win this match. Now, he has a good reason to put up his best effort to try and defeat Fury because these two boxers are talking badly even before the match wasn't final. In almost every aspect, Fury have the advantage like the reach, height, experience and ring IQ particularly the KO rate.
I had seen some of the recent pictures where Dillian Whyte looked really out of shape, i remember him when he was fighting Anthony Joshua and he was in a much better physical shape and i doubt he will spend time doing that. Tyson Fury will have a reach advantage literally against every other fighter because he is the tallest fighter out there and his fight IQ is off the charts.

That fight against Anthony Joshua was way back 2015 or 2016 and Whyte lost via TKO, IIRC. Whyte can really do much better than that, that's why Whyte has been training hard to get his desired shape in consideration with the weight needed and he's been winning since then until he lost again to Alexander Povetkin. But sadly, he have a small chance of winning this time against Fury.

I think that's Whyte walking weight that you see, maybe during fight night we will be in a good shape just like the rest of the boxers.

Nevertheless, we all know that Fury is the superior fighter year and not to disrespect Whyte, but shape alone will not win fights. Even if he comes in a good and better shape, Fury will still smash and probably win by knock out.

Votes in Poll: 29
Fury win: 26
Whyte win: 3
Draw: 0

The latest poll in the thread still shows Fury to win. There is no chance at all Whyte will close the gap in this thread. If the difference fell below 85% in favour of Fury to win, I would be surprised  Grin

Whyte hasn't been turning up to the press conferences or promo events. Did Fury's camp really not put it into the contract that he has to do media duties to promote the fight? If they didn't you can't even be mad that he's shirking them because he's not getting paid from it because it's under Fury's promoter after they won the purse bid. It might be interesting if he completely goes AWOL until the fight. Fury's trying to play it off like he's scared but why bother turning up to a boring job when you're not going to get paid for the work?

Anything can happen in heavyweight boxing, that's what makes it so exciting. One punch can change everything. I think Whyte will probably come out swinging and try get an early KO. That would probably be his best bet because I don't think he will outbox Fury nor win on points.

He's just picking the lesser of two evils to him. Fury has been far more vocal in publicly slagging AJ off so he's not going to back him. It also adds a bit of fuel to the fire if they ever fight each other.

I will not say that Whyte is not talented but he usually crumbles under pressure, i still remember the press conference between Whyte and Anthony Joshua during their encounter and he feel for the trap, another announcement that is coming up is that Tyson Fury might be retiring after this fight and that is a surprising announcement from Tyson Fury shutting down a match up between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury which everyone is waiting for a long time.

Anyone here seen their faceoff, Whyte is surprisingly is absent on their face-off but Whyte still push through with their faceoff, Fury is really a funny guy there's no personality like this now in the boxing world

Quote
Tyson Fury doesn't need an opponent to do face-offs. With Dillian Whyte absent he does the typical boxing face-offs with Frank Warren holding him back.

Check the full video here

Shall we do the face-off then?" 😅 Tyson Fury squares off against no-one at Whyte presser

I seriously doubt that Tyson Fury will retire after the Whyte fight, maybe this is his way to promote this fight so that many boxing fans are going to watch and buy the ticket because this might be his last fight.

But for sure he is going to wait for Joshua in Manchester, could be the biggest fight in UK after the Khan vs Brook fight. So perhaps another $100 million in the table for this fight to happen.

Dillian Whyte had a bad loss against Anthony Joshua because the hype for the fight was that huge and he ended up getting knocked out. I am not saying that Dillian Whyte has not improved after that loss, he was on a winning spree after that and he really deserves to be in this spot fighting for the title but against Tyson Fury who i consider is the greatest of all time is a hard battle.

Hopefully we will see a fit Dillian Whyte at the time of the fight and as a fan i want to see a really competitive fight. Even Dillian Whyte knows it is impossible to land a clean punch on Tyson Fury, so he should work hard in preparing for the fight and have to find a way to take the match to him.
