Senegal kept their World Cup hopes alive with a win against hosts Qatar after losing their opening match against the Netherlands. Alio Sis's side won 3-1 against the hosts. On the other hand, Qatar is almost on the way out of the group stage with two consecutive losses. They lost 2-0 against Ecuador in the first match. As a result of this victory, Senegal has 3 points in one match. The Netherlands and Ecuador, who are first and second in the table, have 3 points. However, the Netherlands and Ecuador have two remaining matches. That is, when these two teams meet in a match, Senegal will have the best chance to go to the knockout stage.

It appears that Qatar and its national squad did not adequately prepare for this world cup. They are still listed as losers. They were incapable of winning, let alone drawing. As the host country, Qatar should at least win one game. History will record Qatar as the first nation to go through the world cup competition without winning a game. They lost to Ecuador in their opening game, and Senegal in their most recent game. The Netherlands will be their opponent in their next game. Is it the Netherlands, Qatar will win?

Painful last minute goal disallowed on the Ecuadorian side. This is world cup should be on Guiness Book of World records as the world cup with the most controversial goals ever. It is just unfair.  Theu fought tooth and nail to get back in the game only for their goal to be ruled out. I just hope that Ecuador can turn the anger of the disallowed of their goal into more goals. 

To me this looks fair and no one is harmed, just imagine when a goal that is disallowed is considered valid even though it has been offside, isn't this much more detrimental for the team that experienced it.

The second half took place, Memphis Depay came on for Bergwijn, Valencia managed to take advantage of the mental ball which was pushed over by goalkeeper Andries Nopert, so they were able to equalize. Statistics show Ecuador is very dominant, but football is all about winning, not possession. So far, Valencia has performed quite well and it is quite difficult to be escorted by the Dutch players, it is very difficult to predict who will come out as the winner.

I really don't know what is going wrong with Netherlands right now. We have left an hour behind in the game but they still have only one goal attempt which resulted in a goal. Ecuador have played much better than them considering the comparison of total goal attempts until now. Yes, he was standing in the penalty area, but he did not hit or touch the goalkeeper, why they thought he interfered with the Netherlands goalkeeper I do not understand.

If they keep showing like that I don't think they will be able to challenge for the World Cup title this time.

Well, Wales' world cup run was fun while it lasted. I can't see us qualifying for a while, as I would expect that this is Bale's, Joe Allen's, Wayne Hennessey, and Likely Aaron Ramsey's last tournament, which is a shame. End of an era, even if Wales haven't won anything, we definitely surprised a few teams on the way.

Obviously, Bale will likely be missed the most. One of the best players to play in a Welsh shirt, and always seemed to be the one to dig Wales out of trouble when he did play. I didn't watch the game, but from what I'm hearing we were awful.

Enner Valencia continues to score goals, he is really in great form. Honestly, he didn't score a perfect goal, but he made a very good offensive press and managed to be in the right place at the right time. He showed us all the features of being a complicated striker in only one position. Also, the classic goal celebration of the Ecuadorian national team players after the goal of Enner Valencia was worth seeing. I think they managed to create an iconic moment again. Even after years, this goal celebration will continue to be talked about. I love moments like this and I feel lucky to be a living witness to such a moment. :)

I didn't get to watch the game likewise but I came in at the last minute seeing the outside shot taken from the Iran player and the stunned gaze from Gareth Bale like he was pierced hard with a knife in the chest.
They're already out if I'm guessing right, but not until it's 90 Minutes against England. Good Luck to them in the new Phase though and them League careers.

I never thought Netherlands were the favorites for the World Cup title at the moment so I wouldn't be surprised if they fell short in the last 16. I believe the Netherlands will reach the last 16, but if the opponent is as strong or even better then the Netherlands will lose.

The Netherlands and Ecuador currently have 4 points together, and these two teams only need to play their best in the next match to secure opportunities. The Netherlands played another worthless game tonight. I also thought it was a surprise that Iran managed to beat Wales. But yes, that is also asking for goals if you add no less than 8 minutes of injury time these days. I wonder if that's good for football. It seems to be an experiment, should you test it at the World Cup in this way? I was really surprised to see this game today because a team like Netherlands was almost blown away by Ecuador.  If we want to see the FIFA ranking then we can see Ecuador at 44th position while Netherlands is at 8th position.  As the match has been drawn and if we look at the match stats, we can see that most of the good shots were from Ecuador.  But since the points are shared between the two teams, the next match is very important for both the teams. I think if the game like today and can improve more then Equator will have a chance.

I saw everything right from the early kick off .... Senegal had full predominance over the game, and also, I noticed that Qatar were kinda like ... struggling to get on possession for the ball....is this supposed to be a coincidence? Loosing to Ecuador on their very first game, which was also marked as the first game of the competition, and then loosing woefully to Senegal, which has evicted them from the table completely? I don't Know... But I saw the goals' coming; right from the time Dia scored the first goal in a time almost close the end of the first half. They ended the game swiftly with a 45: 54 ball possession on overall stats.

The Netherlands have Memphis Depay and Luuk De Jong but these two players have never been as good as other top strikers, in fact the two players have not been relied on from the start. I think the Netherlands are lacking strikers at the 2022 World Cup, this is a problem that will make it difficult for them to score many goals. So don't get your hopes up that they can reach the semifinals with the quality of the striker they are at the moment, unless they have a couple of players who score every game on a very regular basis. But unfortunately, the Netherlands does not have this type of player.

I’m not much of a World Cup guy, but I have been enjoying reading about the upsets and seeing everyone’s reactions to them. Japan and Saudi Arabia along with the United States have provided some surprises to show that sports are much more global these days and there are no more “gimme’s” in sports at the highest level. Nowadays all of these athletes have similar opportunities and it shows. Love that things are leveling out.

Wait, what do you mean by Qatar is out, I think they have a match with Netherlands on 29th of November, or is there something I am missing here?.
That aside, I am quite sad I couldn't watch several of the matches played this few day after the Argentina and Saudi Arabia match, but I hope I will have time to watch the England vs USA match which is just few minutes away to kick off, though I love USA, but I hope England win.. Fingers crossed.

England has just started their game against the US. For the US, a point here would be a delaying result as Wales lost to Iran today. It is still completely open in this group, and Iran may soon have the best papers to continue to the next round. We can assume that Wales is out, or strange things have to happen and then Wales should also win big against England next week. No one thought it possible that Iran would eventually become 2nd. It would also be nice if Saudi Arabia would advance to the next round.
