I feel like Ecuador wasn't very motivated in this match. Maybe this is their talent level but I don't know. Their attacks feel lackluster to me. Ecuador played for a draw in the first half and when Senegal scored from the penalty they woke up in the second half. I don't know how a team can plan to play the whole game to end a draw. You never know when you can concede a goal and then you are in a problem. Indeed, Ecuador performance was not very good in this competition. They don't have many chances to commit to such a dangerous target. Senegal managed to control the field solidly and was able to restore the score to stay ahead after being equalized by Moises but after a few minutes, they lost concentration which made the score increase. it's funny to me that this is a big deal, what is alcohol going to bring or add to the world cup ? Absolutely nothing, it probably would reduce some crazy acts from drunk people and that's it, I think it will run just fine in Qatar without alcohol, it won't affect it at all.

I expected the teams that would have qualified from this group to be Netherlands and Ecuador, Netherlands because they are a strong team with experience in this competition already and Ecuador because of how they started this competition in very promising form. The Ecuador players were in tears loosing to Senegal, how unfortunate to watch, but it is a competition and one team must progress. They had a good start, but they couldn't sustain it, it shows that even starting this competition well still does not assure you victory.

Qatar may not be able to recover the match anymore. Their performance was not very good since the game start. In the first half, the opposite team Netherlands score 1 and the second half added 1 another. C. Gakpo was able to score a goal in 26 minutes and F. De Jong in 49 minutes. Netherlands will be able to score more goals in this match. Over all it seems to me that Qatar's name will come first as the weakest team in this world cup session.

It's a pity that the Netherlands didn't push themselves too hard and won by only two goals (I lost a couple of bets because of this). But in general, I am satisfied with the result. I expected the teams that would have qualified from this group to be Netherlands and Ecuador, Netherlands because they are a strong team with experience in this competition already and Ecuador because of how they started this competition in very promising form. They had a good start, but they couldn't sustain it, it shows that even starting this competition well still does not assure you victory.

Yeah, we'll see a lot of tears in this last round. It's a part of the World Cup. Only one team can finish at the top. Even the players of the team that finishes second cry at the end of the final game, but after a day or two they realize what they have accomplished and they are happy. I remember the welcoming of the Croatian team when they finished second in Russia. It was magnificent. It would be great if they could repeat that success but it will be very hard. I just hope they don't repeat the game they played against Morocco.

In this match, I actually predict that Ecuador will at least get 1 point to accompany the Netherlands to the knockout round. However, Senegal was able to overcome the game from Ecuador so that they could become the 5th country that made it through the group phase.
On the other hand, I didn't watch this match, because I wanted to see the hosts, whether they would be able to score points, but the fact is that the status of the hosts did not earn them any points. Even worse, they only scored 1 goal and conceded 7 times, something they didn't expect as hosts. From the results they got during this edition of the World Cup I conclude they are not yet ready to compete with the nation that is best in Group A.
I also congratulate the Netherlands and Senagal for their success in advancing to the knockout stages.
