Croatia did a great job by having almost 70% ball possession and they have 7 on goals also because Argentina's defense is very tight so the attacker is not effective to create a chance of goals.

70% huh, well actually it was 61% and it means nothing when they lost. It was also 12 shots on goals against Argentina which was 1 shots higher than Argentina but it seems they couldnt recreate their amazing run back in 2018 World Cup.

Personally think that it would be Argentina against France on final but I would love to watch Morocco win the game though. Im not gonna lie but if Morocco win against France tonight then they deserved to win the World Cup as well

Frankly, I did not think that the match would be so easy for Argentina. They analyzed Croatia very well. They gave the ball to the croats and pulled the plug with quick attacks. Argentina played almost flawlessly in defense. Croatia found its first serious position after 70 minutes. It was also a corner organization.

It was a match that was won by the deserving side, which was not bad to watch. Anyway, that assist by messi was as enjoyable as a 90-minute match alone. The man has officially mad the young boy who is said to be the best defender of the future. This man is something else... I hope argentina wins the cup and the world football pays its debt to Messi...

About 23 minutes into the Argentina vs Croatia semi final match, so far, no goals yet, no significant goal attempts yet from both sides, but Croatia seems to be really playing well tonight, the ball seems to be on their possession more often than it is for the Argentina team.

Right now, it is kinda hard to predict which team is likely to win this match, I was actually expecting Argentina to win but from the way Croatia is playing, it seems they are well prepared for the game, hopefully, as the game progresses, it will become clearer and easier to predict the winner tonight.

The game is very much over for Croatia as Argentine has scored 2 goals in 40 mins of play. Argentina are lucky to get a plenty and Messi doesnt miss much. Croatia took the pressure and gave Argentina some openings Alvarez was the one who scored the second goal. A solo run from Alvarez and perhaps the best goal of WC so far. The first half is about to complete and Croatia have a big task to do in second half. We have seen some stunning goals from Netherlands in there match against Argentina. Croatia from the beginning had the attacking plan and the same didn't work as Argentina took the defending position and doesn't show agression. They did it well and the plan didn't work with Croatia. Maybe if Croatia have managed to make a goal at the first half the match would've taken another direction.

Argenting was countering the strategy that being used by croatia. Croatia was always owning the ball and that makes croatia forgot with its defensive line. Argentina was taking the advantage over it and then since some defensive players of croatia were also moving to the argentina's line and the counter attack from argentina became very effective caused by only a few people who standing on the croatia's defensive line. That's a very nice strategy from argentina to let croatia owning the ball and thinking if croatia can dominate the match by making lots of goals.

It was a completely one-sided match yesterday (forget about the ball possession stats). Croatia never had a chance, once Argentina went 1-0 ahead through the penalty kick. What worked for Croatia during the match against Brazil didn't worked this time against Argentina. And Argentina had a well defined plan ahead of their semi-final clash. Croatia's tactic of tying down the star forwards of the opposing team didn't worked well, as the Argentinian players redistributed attacking responsibilities among themselves. Croats were busy trying to hold Messi, while Mac Allister and Rodrigo De Paul took over the responsibility to pass the ball.

Maybe they hit their limits after two previous knock out matches with Japan and Brazil. When players are tired, they can make mistakes which usually they don't make such. It was hard to believe that Croatia can have another World Cup at semi final but they achieved it already. Their goalkeeper did not have any chance in three goals of Argentina. The second goal of Julian Alvarez is a little bit lucky but it comes from his effort.

The dribble of Messi over Gvardiol is amazing and he even run from middle of the field with very high speed. Messi has good mood after the win against Netherlands and he continued it with Croatia. He will have a second World Cup final with Argentina. Gvardiol did not want to prevent Messi too seriously with physical contacts because he knows Croatia might get another penalty.

The opponent can be Morocco or France and it would be easier for Messi if opponent is Morocco. France will bring more challenge to Argentina in the final match.

The fact that the goalkeeper got a yellow card in the first half also had a negative impact on the Croatian performance. However, I am very happy today as an Argentina supporter because my favorite team qualified for the finals and I liked that the three goals Argentina scored were very interesting, especially the way Messi fooled the Croatian players with the ball during the last goal.  Although Julian Alvarez assisted Messi to score that goal, Messi's credit is greater here .
