This is exactly my thoughts as well. Cockfighting promotes animal cruelty and I don't really get why people are so satisfied betting on it despite knowing that these creatures get hurt in the process. I don't see what's so enjoyable about it and how they manage to be thrilled with the idea of it given that there are many other things to bet upon without resorting to violence such as pitting animals for the sake of money.
