This time between the world cup and other matters i dont really follow up the transfermarket but i just saw West Ham is still ahving almost the same team to play in the championship than they had in the last Premier League season, and it was a complete surprise for me since i was really expecting to see a few teams from the Premier League stealing some good asset that West Ham have.

I still believe in the last days a few players from them are gonna move away to Premier League teams.

I have not heard any news of Arsenal going after Barcola.

There is no news and I don’t see them going for him because of the valuation that PSG placed on him, Arsenal do not buy prospects with that amount of money most especially players like Barcola probably because of past signings like Nicolas Pepe. If Vinicius is on that amount they will seize that opportunity.

Yes i think they plan to comeback fast to the Premier League and still having a solid foundation to build upon it. The main problem is, the high salaries of most of their players and i dont know how much players prefers to stay in championship than going to another teams or even leagues. I know right now Championship moves more money than most of the top eruopean leagues and is still a top league despite being a second division.

Well Jarrod Bowen and Castellanos are two players which i was expecting to already see them in other teams.

Is anyone else feeling frustrated right now with their team selection? With all the different transfers in and out, I feel like it isn't worth building a team yet. Some players I pick end up leaving the league altogether, while potential additions haven't been confirmed yet.

In past seasons, I always left my research and team selection for the final 48 hours before the league kickoff. This year I thought I'd start early, take it more seriously and put in proper time. I even made a custom team badge in FPL, though I'm not sure if that's considered a cool thing to do or if I'm just fitting in with the lame crowd. I don't know if the newer generation takes those things seriously.

Anyway back to my rant: after realizing how many players might leave the Premier League and how many unknown additions are still to come, I'm stopping right here. I'm going back to my old habit of waiting until all the transfer business is done, then doing my research and team selection in the final 48 hours. It saves a ton of stress and frustration.

I still remember when Harry Kane decide to go to Bayer Munich in a friday or Thursday i was not paying enought attention and between him and other player than right now i didnt remember i played the first round with 2 players less and that wasnt the worst the worst was now i have to spend transfer to replace them and the void was massive since Harry Kane cost a lot and i cant put Haaland as replace for him since he was a little bit more expensive, i had to reshufle all the team for the second round in short.

So yes sometimes is better to wait, the only good of making an early team is to write down some name maybe.

I know I'll never be contented with my team selection until the deadline as passed, so I'm not completely worried even though I've not checked since the last time to even try any new selection, by the end of this week or early next week I'll start looking at my choices all over again, I believe there are still a couple of transfers that could easily influence my team, and Vinicius is easily one of them.

The only big question I'm still unsure about is if I'll be starting with Haaland or not, I'd rather have a chunk of my budget tied down with him simply because it's usually to move from Haaland to spread the budget across multiple other positions than otherwise, If Saka and Palmer aren't going to be on my team to start with then having Haaland is a no brainer.

They need a LW, that's for sure. I just don't think they need Vinicius.
Saka is world class, no doubt about that. Arsenal is a team with perfect balance at the moment - they won the title without Saka and with Trossard/Martinelli rotating on the left wing.

I'd rather bring a player like Barcola than Vinicius - Vini is a huge financial gamble. Nobody is doubting his talent, title winning teams are built around a little bit more than talent though.

Personally, I would prefer Vini over Barcola for Arsenal, they already have too many Barcola-esque caliber of players, I won't consider Barcola a major upgrade to the Trossard/Martinelli or their new signing Tzolis who seemed like a decent player, but Vini is on a completely different level and does raises the bar higher imo.
