It's going to be problematic. Odds change all the time, sometimes big swings in a day. And then others who've already entered picks will invariably be upset (or happy). Even some of my picks enjoy better odds now than when I locked in mine, but it could go the other way... everything evens out.

Can you perhaps relay this idea to the higher ups though? a dedicated page created for the sole of this point betting is going to be pretty interesting. As of now we have tons of betting pool sponsored by various website around here but your idea with the point betting is pretty interesting but the only downside of it is that its done on a google doc. So imagine if Rollbit or another site created a dedicated page for this, its going to great

or another idea is to simply just ask Rollbit to give a bonus balance like $10 or something, that we cant withdraw but it should be only used for the weekly betting so whoever has the highest balance at the end of tournament would win or something along this idea

Different odds isn't a problem it is opportunity, use it to your advantage. Best thing for player to find is odds discrepancy to current state, always a way to profit from that even in a pool like this.

Any diverting of the traffic to other sites is actually counter productive and would diminish our returns. Why do you think I am posting all those tables in BSFL each round? Would be so much easier for me to just give you the link to the site we are using to calculate everything  It is all about getting maximum for the participants in the long run and for that you need measurable results to show to the sponsors.

Well actually to say diverting traffic from bitcointalk to the sponsorship site is abit of the exaggeration. What Im implying is an idea to just switch the pot B game from google docs to the actual Rollbit site itself ( as the sponsored site for now ). As for the other discussion and so on, it could always be done on this thread. Aside from that, this allow some people to actually try the sportsbetting site but obviously this is just an idea that will be hard to implement but something along this line could be considered I guess

Honestly, I find this point irrelevant. Points are awarded based on the odds indicated in the file. In other words, for this pool these are the odds.
Therefore, once the odds are assigned, they will be the same for everyone, even if they are completely unrealistic compared to what betting sites say.

nevertheless, it will on time for tomorrow matches, have to put some notification system in place (don't use forum bots), since there is more and more competitions and pools, and it is getting harder to watch all these at one place

Think about it. Every week you have to come to this thread and click on the link, that is at least one more view per each of us per round. Plus that also makes it more probable that some of us will leave a reply. On the other hand if it is just Superbru and let's say Rollbit, you don't have incentive to come here other than to actually make a post.

Then there is another even bigger problem. I have never met sponsor that has the ability/men power/will to have a person always on call for when we need him and that gets problematic if you have to rely on them to do something on the site.

I'm very excited that there are Champions League matches tomorrow. I can't stop myself from taking a risk while making a prediction for Pot B. I bet 9 stake for Milan to win in Germany. And I bet the remaining 1 stake on Galatasaray's winning in Manchester. If everything goes normal it looks like I will close the 2nd week also with 0 points.

Quite a risk, but I'm in a decent position and it's a game I feel will go my way.

I even think I'll take some money out of the piggy bank and place a big bet on it (10x my usual stake).

BSFL is like quiz with research, and this one is like pure gambling instinct,,, that makes a perfect combination worthy of bitcointalk forum gambling discussion

In fact you should combine both next season 

Most other threads are just sports talk with no gambling, and bad quality 'news' sharing which is worthless.

At first I was totally contrary to this format of the Pot B but seeing that we decide where to put our stakes here I can fully agree with this format too now,we decide much more here than in Superbru,it is our prediction and where we put our stakes that counts.

For this match day 2 I did the same put everything on one game at 1.8 odd this time on Inter Milan against Benfica,I don't think Benfica was in a mood to hold Inter back as they struggled a lot against Salzburg despite the referee mistakes.

I also love how buwaytress appoached this, I'm not a big fan of Superbru predictions.
We should keep this and BSFL separate not just because of different sponsors but also due to the fact that they are entirely different in competition composition, but now we have the best of both worlds.

I'm sure buwa's idea will grow - so we might end up doing something together. buwa is somebody Cro2 would gladly work with.

I think we'll be seeing some of these clubs adjust and get a 1 - 1 draws across the board.  Dunno...  Feels like these midweek matches this time around are played by fatigued squads.  I think I'm gonna use my whole 10 points on one bet again.  A draw for United vs Galatasaray.

Thank you for all the feedback and discussions guys. I'm glad the consensus seems to be that Pot B is at least an acceptable format. Superbru will likely be the mainstay of all the pools due to simplicity and familiarity, but as I mentioned before the active group of people/gamblers here don't mind experimentation and BSFL/Cro2 are about to enter into an expanded season 3 -- for me that's proof that the cream of the crypto gambling forum responds well to interactive vs passive interaction.

@arallmuus I think that concept would be prettier, but Trofo and cryptofrka speak from experience and I agree:
- visibility and exposure on a forum of real crypto users/gamblers
- lack of resources (they have a business, they would be swamped with training someone to manage this and respond to issues

You probably should set an alarm and add the title of the thread for the reminder, it's very tough to keep up with all these pools without needing a reminder for a couple of them, it's easier to get reminded when there is a mobile app of the pool on your mobile device, but very easy to forget the pools that have to do filling google forms with answers and predictions.

It's never a good idea I think because it will force users to join the site. I don't think many will be interested in such an approach. I barely use a lot of sites, used to be sticky with stake back in the day and now have switched to another. I would possibly join but still would be less interested.

We probably might have the same game at heart, I also have a game I'm eyeing big time, It's not 10x Odds if that's what you're implying, but it's an underdog with tempting, I can't remember how many chip I have on that though because I submitted my pick long ago already, but it's a quite some odds and quite some chip as well, 3  maybe 4, I guess, one thing I'm sure about is that my chip are just on 2-3 games, that's if I didn't use 4 chip on the apparent upset.

Filled my pot Pot B form. I also have positive opinion about new format, though, I don't expect to perform very well there because I tend to go with safer options and lower odds than wagering big.
Really have no idea about early slot games. Union is hard to beat at home, so, maybe I will go with their win and BTTS in Slazburg - Real Sociedad.
Napoli Real should be good to watch. IMO, Real is looking more confident at this phase of season, so, backing them isn't bad idea, though there is some safer options. Inter - Benfica, I don't have much doubts about Inter win. And I wouldn't be surprised at all if MU will fail to win against Galatasaray.

It also can cause problems because some users may not access Rollbit. Some gambling websites in various countries is often blocked because local laws and regulations. For example, I can't access most of popular foreign gambling websites without changing DNS.

I almost forgot as well, but as I remembered as soon as I recalled that there will be Champions league games today.

I was 52/52 from the first round of games, my first experience playing then but did not have any beginners luck to start with.

I am confident I will not remain in that same position this round, I believe I have made better predictions in this round.

I don't trust alarms especially with phones of today once it's facing down phone goes straight into silent mode and you miss your submissions....

But I would suggest importing these games into your Google calendar as you get alerts a day before and on the actual day, you are welcome.

Kickoff of match day 2 is any minute from now, and for us playing in the bottom half of the competition means we can play around with the high odds trying to catch up with the 22 points as we have nothing to lose
