If you wanna see bad luck in action go and watch the replay of the second half of Newcastle game yesterday night,wow still cannot believe that the ball didn't enter the net after that much attacking,it was also the only surprise result for me of the night.

On the pool though it is funny I am 27th place and am 10 points away from first place showing how tight this is,for this week I did really bad as I lost 6 positions and haven't checked where I am in the Pot B yet.

Hey can you blame me lol to be honest I was totally thinking for semi safe points to put 8 stakes on Atletico as they are the best playing team in La Liga even though Real Madrid win I say reliance on Bellingham and me Barca too much on youngsters but Atletico the most rounded.

I wanted at a certain time to put all in at Porto but the odd was what stopped me,the bookies managed to deceive me for the thousand time with their not so logical odds  .I don't complain though,I like having 51 points in total with 3 match days played and I am sure continuing with this type of choice,going for a safer bet and betting all in if happens to hit it right until the end I assume I will end in a paying spots.

For the next match day though I am playing 4 stakes from 2.5 points each on odds well over 2 and see how it goes,may be it brings me more but it is a whole lot more difficult to achieve than betting everything on one game.

This was a really a good round for me, but Atletico Madrid draw with Celtic messed up my gameplay on Pot B
I expected to see more from Newcastle and more goals in that match, but I wont cry because of them.

One round can change everything.
Even bottom players can get on top quickly if they make a good score just one or two next rounds.

My disappointment in Newcastle is immeasurable. How they can go from looking like one of the strongest offensive teams in Europe to just become flat on the back of one injury on Isak is beyond me. Good on Dortmund though, they aren't as bad as many painted them out to be and they probably should be in the running for making it through.

I think we all just over estimated them and had them by the standards of their performance against PSG, but If we considered their very first game in the group against AC Milan we'll remember that they were very mediocre, however, Newcastle were quite unlucky against Dortmund, they deserve at least one point from the game, it wasn't just their day to be, the hit crossbars a couple of times, Dortmund handled the pressure quite better, I must say and were still pushing to get one more goal whenever they catch Newcastle on the break.

Being consistent is good, but it definitely won't lead to the top - since the number of participants is large, someone will be lucky enough to guess several unlikely results with big odds. Personally, I'll only bet on unlikely outcomes from now on - I forgot to use my 10 points last round and now feel like I'm way behind, so I need to bet heavily.

I'm surprised myself that the King of backing the underdogs is advicing us against it now. buwaytress when did you start believing in consistency?

Perhaps in a bid to fool everyone else into thinking this is the way to go? And by the looks of it, plenty of all-ins on "safe" teams lost last night. I thought I was pissed at Atletico but Trofo had 10 points on them hahaha.

I caught some good points with BVB (finally repaying my trust in them). Too bad it was only 4/1 when I made the form. Last night you could snatch 6/1 pre-kickoff...

I am assuming you tried to hit good odds since you didn't manage to get even 3 points from this week and it is true that you have to risk it next week to try to hit an underdog which would bring you back on track.However I would suggest the same strategy I am applying,hitting all the 10 points staked at the game I have more faith to come true,for example in these last 2 match days I have gone for Inter at 1.8 at home and Tuesday for Real to win away with 1.5 odd.It may look like it is more difficult this way but for me it is better to be consistent till the end and hope for the best,trying to hit big odds if missed once or twice you are out of the prize spots so it is very dangerous as strategy.

I think there is still time to try a more conservative approach which are 2 options and they are 1st to find a game you are fully convinced it will hit and hopefully the odds will be 1.5 or higher to stake everything for them or 2nd you divide 10 points in four 2.5 points stakes and place them on odds over 2 and 1 of them you can also spend on that Young Boys huge odds  .

Keep in mind though that if you go for such type of bets and go all in you just need another lost bet and you are definitely out of the prize spots unless you hit consecutive underdogs (highly unlikely).

damn if i knew this maybe i should have played it safe instead of putting everything on lens, its a long contest for sure but the need to hit a underdog bet is getting more with every week

Yeah, sounds easy enough. But if you could consistently do 12 on average week in/week out, you'd never have to work a day in your life ever again

That's why I was aiming for 10 as weekly average, I still think that 90-95% of the participants will end up below it. The problem is that we had some big bets hitting early on - which makes higher risk a necessity.

If you look closely at the spreadsheet, you will find that I went all in on Atletico Madrid and they ended up crushing me, the odds were enticing and based on their recent league games, you would think that Celtic would have little chance against them, but the opposite was the case. Celtic was the better team. When I look at the current league standings, I feel ashamed.

It's also a good strategy. Betting a lot of points, in a more predictable game.
I have to analyze the various scenarios that will arise, and then choose the strategy to follow.

Same.  Pot 1 I dropped a lot.  I think I dropped the most in terms of how many spots I've gone down at the table.  Lol.  As for Pot 2 I still got nil so there goes my chance of getting into the money spots.  I mean I'll still try but it's gonna be a hard, uphill battle from here on out.  I'd be a very lucky guy to hit a streak of long shots to get back in the running...

And maybe I shouldn't have taken Pot 2 for granted.  :/  I kinda didn't care about it at first and I'm kinda regretting it.  I def know I could've done better.

To be honest, after I missed the second round (simply because I forgot about Pot 2) I psychologically resigned myself to the fact that everything was lost here  Therefore, I won’t be upset at all if I don’t get into the prizes. But now I have a great opportunity to take increased risks (and still have a chance to get back into the race) and threaten those who are in the lead now. Isn't entertainment what we're here for? I think it's fun

Terrible choice, I survived but I have to really think hard about what to do. The thing is in my betting strategy, I always end up losing in the long run going safe. Lately, I switched to buway betting strategy and it is magic. Now I'm trying it in Pot B and yes zero points now but it must not deter you.
