I won't denied the fact that they were big but that's in the past now.

That's the thing, clubs don't become big easily and they don't lose that status easily either.

Being a big club is much more than just a current form and number of trophies won in the last few years and includes fanbase, cultural impact, recognition etc and there are only few clubs in the world that beat Liverpool at that. For example, Man City is by far the most successful EPL club in the last ~10 years but I never met a football fan (who is not a kid) who would say that Man City is a bigger club than Liverpool or Man Utd, despite the latter one sucking badly for a decade.

pathetic performance made by RedBull Salzburg, i dont know what happen to them, i see the late stages of the game and i can said to you, it was one of the worst defensive performance i see in a while, Brest players makes normal plays and they score in a rush.

Had some money on Salzburg, so, such pathetic their performance disappointed me too. In first round they lost 0:3 to Sparta, now 0:4 at home against mediacore French team. We can't count on them anymore.
But Celtic performance was even more pathetic. I guess 1:7 is one of biggest defeats in their history and it quite well resembles level of Scottish football.
For me it seems that with new format we have even more games which ends with huge resulst like 5:0, 7:1, 8:2 and etc.

Really banking on Liverpool winning tonight. We need to win this one against Bologna because 6 points from 2 games would put us in a great position to at minimum, qualify for the last 16 play off stage. It’s tough to finish in the top 8 and gain automatic last 16 qualification but 6 points from 2 games would be huge for us.

A friend had arranged me a ticket for tonight but due to some unforeseen circumstances, I can’t be there sadly. I hope he has a good night witnessing a comfortable win

For me it seems that with new format we have even more games which ends with huge resulst like 5:0, 7:1, 8:2 and etc.

The difference from previous years is that big teams will have to take every game seriously in order to secure a top 8 spot, and goal difference might end up being very important. That could explain the high scores right from the start. So yeah, it won't be much fun for those of us who are fans of the smaller teams.


Speaking of smaller teams, just saw Dinamo lineup for the game tonight and it looks like we decided to park the bus- 5 defenders, 3 defensive midfielders, 1 attacking midfielder and 1 forward. Gonna be a long night in Zagreb.

I think Liverpool will secure the points for their home game these points mean a lot to them and against Bologna at home it shouldn't be difficult.

What a disastrous night for those who did bet on the favorites except a few, many of them lost their games, of course there is still additional time to play but you cannot really score 2 goals in one minute in nowadays football as the team who despite being inferior and weaker is capable to hold you off no matter who you are and yes I am talking about Real Madrid here as the most brutal lost of the match day 2 or this very same match day that for me was the biggest surprise, lost both over 2.5 and both money line bet on them, not only on them though Bayern Munchen lost, Atletico Madrid lost to name the big guys who were either defeated most likely or in a miracle is someone of them draws in the additional time.

My Pot B didn't pay off yet I am still insisting in this strategy, it is either last or first for me until the end of the season.

Well fellas, this is it for the 2nd MD. 0 points from me again this round. I tried to pick some upsets on total goals and the only close result that I get was over 5.5 goals for Girona - Feyenoord but this one ended up exactly 5 goals so bummer !

I should have gone for results upset instead of total goals, could have gotten some points from Lille and Aston Villa

Not a great night for the big teams, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid lost Atletico even with a landslide score, Bayern Munich lost and it was a great day for Aston Villa, Unai Emery's touch is still working well in this UCL for Villa and Juventus won even with only 10 players.
Congratulations to Kanapka for getting the most points for MD2, tonight all my picks went badly but luckily I got a point yesterday.

What a crazy results in Champions League today  
My predictions continue the bad trend but I managed to get few points from Juventus win, I watched the match and that was amazing comeback with 10 man and great performance from Vlahovic.
Big surprise for me to see Real and Bayern both losing their matches, but Benfica win was a biggest shocker for me today.

0 points for me, last year's runner up is dead in the water.

What a crazy results in Champions League today  

I was thinking that same thing. Many say pot B is too YOLO. But, I think that doing this YOLO is being more realistic than looking for the theoretically right result. 

I think this new form of the Champions League came to bring more opportunities. Many thought it was going to be a trip to the shark clubs of Europe, but it's not being that easy. Of course, nothing has been decided, and there are still 6 games to go. But at least some have already had a real scare.

Looks like everyone got destroyed in today's predictions (SuperBru Pot A). I thought I was the most unlucky until I checked Y'all results  . Absolutely no one saw that Real Madrid + Bayern Munich losses. Lost in the tourney and lost again in my bets this evening. What a way to end MD2 of the UCL.
