Not meaning to belittle the quality of Serie A clubs Inter or Milan but looking at the conditions Manchester City and Real Madrid today it is clear they are far superior and indeed I am also still quite sure of the conditions where if one of them, be it Manchester City or Madrid, wins then indirectly the champion will be determined from there.

Recently both AC Milan and Inter are drooping from league table with losing matches or having draws against weaker sides which are surely lacking of quality for the top Italian teams but as they are having better things in this season we can expect good changes in future which will surely improve and have better results.

Indeed, the improvement in Serie A this season, especially for the Champions League, is clearly felt, especially when their 3 candidates are in the quarter finals.
But as you said they are not very good in terms of condition and consistency and it looks like a big difference from their competition in domestic matches.

Correct. Although mentally Real Madrid might be superior. But in terms of performance I think at this point we are all aware that Manchester City is better. But recently I read the news about complaints of displeasure from Real Madrid regarding the schedule of the semi-final first leg against Manchester city which will take place on the 9th of may. They are complaining because 3 days before the semi-final in the Champions League Real Madrid has the final scheduled in the Copa del Rey against Osasuna. Real Madrid may feel they don't have much time to prepare after the game against Osasuna. But to be honest, I suspect that Real Madrid actually lack confidence and want more preparation time against Manchester City. This is just my assumption or speculation. Haaland came to help them solving their difficulty in Champions League and he will be one of biggest hopes of Manchester City in semi finals with Real Madrid.

With Haaland, Manchester City will have a striker who can score goals from headshots which they were very bad in previous seasons and more than that Haaland can be a target and middle man to make key passes to Manchester City attacking players. Real Madrid will have to spend player resource to follow Haaland but at the same time they will have to cope with risk from other attacking players of Manchester City.

Maybe we will see that these two teams will appear very careful, we know that even though Manchester City has a revenge mission, it will not go smoothly if they have gaps.

I don't think they will play two semi finals to revenge Real Madrid for their disappointed defeat in the last season. They won't put themselves at pressure of revenge like this. They simply need to play those matches with intention to win and have a Champions League final match after that.
