I don't agree that man united has the edge their performance is too unstable if they come in at top shape i would say they might otherwise i would go with barcelona as favourites, but i agree that both teams has history and one thing is sure it will  be a competitive game.

I disagree that Ronaldo will be out of Man utd this January. The past 2 weeks has actually change this. Ten Hag is beginning to play him more and even trust him to be given the captain band this weekend although there were options like Degea and Eriksen to give it to. Except United Signs a merquee center forward Ronaldo will be there till at least next summer.

For the game I predict united to qualify although it will be hard because united are usually poor against Spanish teams but I choose united to win because Ten Hag actually priorities UEL than Xavi. Xavi will prefer to win Laliga other than this. And with Barca's defence I don't see them winning this one.

I'm not surprised with seeing Barcelona this much favourite truthfully. This is quite normal when we consider the general performances of both teams. If we compare them considering only the Europa League and Champions League performances then Manchester United might seem advantageous. But I don't expect Barcelona to maintain their bad Champions League effort here also. Xavi needs to do his best for his team to make as much money as possible before the end of the season. Maybe the income here isn't as much as in the Champions League but it is still important. I think this is the end of the road for the Red Devils.
