I am waiting for many people predicting Arsenal is the candidate winning Europe League tittle 2022/2023 season  , many of them comparison with Arsenal achievement in domestic league because managed top standing position behind 5 points from Manchester City, but Europe League have difference atmosphere and Arsenal have eliminated on 16th round from not favorite team Sporting Lisbon.

Getting draw on first and second leg and not applicable with away goals match extended until additional extra time and Arsenal have loss trough penalty kick, right now left Manchester United as favorite team winning Europe League but I don't sure because still have Juventus although not favorite team but success winning 16th round home and away match from Freiburg.

It is funny how you called out people that actually thought Arsenal will triumph and you also ending it by saying Manchester United will win. Both teams have done well this season mostly in their domestic league but when it comes down to European competitions like this then we might pick our favorites and but also keep in mind that they are dark horses. Arsenal did well today but just like everyone has been saying they don’t have such squad ti compete in both EPL and Europa. A little tweak in formation today and they felt this means the substitutes aren’t just good enough.

Right now I will have to wait to see who both Manchester United and Juventus meet in the last 8 before drawing my conclusions, what if they should be drawn together? Then I will certainly be looking out for the winner of the tie to win the title

The EPL is what we cannot miss now, We have to focus all Attention now to ensure that Manchester city or even Manchester United don't steal that away from us too, that will be very embarrassing.

Manchester United though it looks like an easy ride for them now to the finals, they still have to be very careful with some teams that are underrated in this competition and even this Sporting boys.

I don't know if Arteta's decision not to start our regular strong first eleven players is due to team rotation or because he underestimated the boys from Sporting . For whatever reason, it looks like what cost us the game.

That's it for the Arsenal team right now, having to focus all your attentions on the premier league because, its the sole purpose why I could say this match was all lost.

Arteta happens to be one who has a strong believe in his boys and to him, it doesn't matter much on the square he sends out, somehow they will manage to come through with the needed points but, that wasn't tonight. It was amistake he had from the way he must have looked at Sporting CP.

I feel sorry for Martinelli with most fans having to look at him to have missed the penalty that sent Arsenal out of the league but, the pressure having to be in that position and not being the player to have gone first with lots of chances to come back from whatever, is just another pressure on its own.

I thought Arsenal would even win the match since they have the pace of playing at home, but I am not surprised. Sporting have not seen more than two home losses since this year, and they have only been defeated a few times this season; even their last home match with Arsenal ended in a draw. Sporting is strong, and I had no doubt that Arsenal could defeat them, but it was a tough game for Arsenal as well. Kudos to SCP; I am not a fan but I find their unrelentless effort amazing. But I actually bet Arsenal would win.

I thought Arsenal would even win the match since they have the pace of playing at home, but I am not surprised. Sporting have not seen more than two home losses since this year, and they have only been defeated a few times this season; even their last home match with Arsenal ended in a draw. Sporting is strong, and I had no doubt that Arsenal could defeat them, but it was a tough game for Arsenal as well. Kudos to SCP; I am not a fan but I find their unrelentless effort amazing. People were really underestimated sporting while the fact that if sporting was playing at UCL before it got relegated into the europa league. I take the risk by picking sporting. People were just over confidence just caused by arsenal has good performance in the EPL while people didn't even aware how bad the performance fo arsenal when it was playing in the europa league competitions such as europa league and champion league.

I never saw arsenal won europa league or UCL. This is the fact. that's why prefer to picked up sporting over arsenal caused i believe arsenal will be eliminated.

that proves that if the level of clubs who participated in the UCL before can't be underestimated. MU is the only candidate by EPL in europa league now.

Arsenal against Porto is definitely worth watching although admittedly they must now accept the fact that they have to be knocked out in the last 16 now.
Penalties are clearly a matter of mentality and in this match Gabriel Martineli failed to carry out his role which knocked Arsenal out.
Even so, it can't be blamed either because it's also very difficult for the task of kicking.
The bright side is that they can focus more in the EPL now.

Arsenal officials focused more on EPL than they did on Europa league, and the league didn't allow them enough time to prepare for their next matches, expecially today's game. It's good they lost the match, though the players performance were top notch but luck wasn't on their side. A lot of people predicted Arsenal to lose the penalty shoot out and it happened, personally I thought Arsenal would win the game.

We all thought Arsenal will win tonight's game, but no doubt both team were strong and they both did played a fantastic match today, following the fact that they both played draw last time when "Sporting" was home, and today played draw too while at Away and winning through penalty.  But however, Arsenal still has a whole lot more to do ensuring premier league is theirs, as the top club on the league.
And I will likely say that the hero of this game is Arthur Gomes & Nuno Santos of "Sporting" who scored their 4th and 5th penalty goals the moment "Gabriel Martinelli" lost his.

I bet a lot of folks would be disappointed as well cause I think most people predicted and probably put a bet on an Arsenal win. I wouldn’t fault Arsenal players for not winning as they brought out their big guns and really did played their best. But surprisingly, Sporting became extremely motivated in the second half of the game. They came alive after their goal which was really impressive.
They had rode on that sudden boost of morale and aggressively pressed on attacking Arsenal defense while also defending. In my opinion, Sporting goalie is the one who had saved the team from being knocked out with his amazing saves.

Because of their performances in the Premier League, I also predicted that Arsenal would be among the three favorites teams to win the Europa League that was before round,but However, today I am not surprised that Arsenal was eliminated by Sporting CP because of the squad Arteta used. In particular, this returned leg at the emirate stadium really shows that Arteta just wanted to gamble by underrated Sporting Cp by not using the team first eleven at the beginning.

When Arteta substituted in Saka, Partey, and Odegaard, the game drastically changed, and Sporting CP was put under more pressure than it was before this players.
Assuming Arsenal had used their first eleven from the start of the first half, I can say that they might have won the game without even needing extra time. Given everything, I think it's safe to say that Arteta has placed more emphasis this season on winning the Premier League than title else. If not, I wouldn't have expected Arsenal should be out FA Cup at this level of the competition. They will likely concentrate more now that they are unaffected by competition and still in the top division.

Gunners Gunners Gunners, what a way to take a bow out from the Europe league, I wasn't expecting all the drama that happened to go differently for Arsenal. Sporting never gave up even when the Gunners are 1-0 up, I just hope this won't affect them in the EPL since they now have no distractions but it would have been nice for them to grab both the EPL and Europe league this season.
Nice one for Arsenal for they have gone this far, I wish them good luck on there quest to secure the EPL title.

Feyenoord really finished off Shakhtar Donetsk, in the 55th minute (when this post was made) they were already 4 - 0 up with an aggregate of 5 - 1, at first I doubted they could beat Shakhtar easily, but in their home match, they proved that what i think is wrong. I luckily forgot to put Shakhtar on my betting list. BTW, will there be 2 more goals in this match? I intend to place an over bet.

I was expecting Feyenoord win but didn't expect 7 goals from them. And they did it only in 2/3 of the game. They stopped pressing and attacking in last period of the game. Sure it was a bad night for Shakhtar Donetsk, they scored a goal in last minutes. Nice run and one touch came from youngster Kevin Kelsy. He was probably the only positive thing for Ukrainian side today.

Sevilla eliminated Fenerbahçe but it was way harder than expected. They saw how important was the two goals lead in first game. It could've gone to extra time. Anyway they are in quarter final now. They'll learn from this loss and be happy to advance, they are still the favorite of this cup.

Antonion Adan had an outstanding performance and he brought Sporting to quarter final. Arsenal played better but they didn't not score enough goal to win the match. In penalty shoot-out, only Martinelli failed with his shot but it is enough for Sporting to win.

The quarter final round of Europa League this season is quite balancing as only Italy has two clubs in this round, Juventus and AS Roma. Other nations only has one club for each.

I think it is better for Arsenal to only focus on Premier League. It's better for them to totally focus on it and get a happy ending in Premier League rather than go to final match of Europa League and fail plus lose Premier League to Manchester City at the final day of season.

Yesterday's match was a nightmare for Arsenal. Arsenal and Spotting CP both performed well but Arsenal's nightmare came when Martinelli missed a penalty shot. Arsenal goalkeeper Ramsdale missed the first penalty shot almost on the line, and the second penalty shot was almost the same. But SCP goalkeeper Adan saved Arsenal's fourth penalty shot to confirm the knockout stage. Arsenal's departure from this year's Europa Champions League has really brought sadness to Arsenal fans.

With clubs like Arsenal at the top of all clubs, it was a draw with Sporting until the main game. But the Arsenal club lost due to a penalty kick towards the last.  It is very sad news that it is very difficult for me to lose such a miserable loss to Arsenal. Because I bet on Arsenal to win but last minute draw in the main game due to which I lost the bet.

Manchester United vs Real betis was a boring game for me. I expected Real Betis to try to get goals and fight to remain in the Champions league but obviously Manchester United are just too strong for them and United won in the second leg to seal their place in the next rounds of the tournament. Arsenal’s game was very exiting to watch, I enjoyed every bit of it, Sporting came on strong and played beautifully. The penalty shootout made the match more dramatic.

Arsenal's ambition has vanished to aim for two titles at once this season, namely in the Premier League and Europa League. Now, the Gunners can only focus completely on the English Premier League championship race. It was very painful for the Gunners to be eliminated via a penalty shootout. Disaster seemed to be approaching the Gunners, not only were they eliminated from the Europa League but they also had to lose an important player in that match due to injury.

Arteta is of course very worried about the situation in his current team, of course he really hopes that the defeat in the Europa League will not have an impact when he returns to the Premier League. Arteta must revive the enthusiasm and mentality of the players after this painful defeat.

I lost my parlay only in this match even though the other matches were as predicted.
By the way it wasn't Porto that beat Arsenal but it was Sporting CP , yes it's a shame Arsenal got knocked out.
