Juventus are certainly very careful with their opponents this time, namely Sporting CP, which has knocked Arsenal out of the Europa League this season. People keeps talking about Arsenal making a mistakes against sporting I personally feel sporting Lisbon should not be underrated they actually held their own against the Gunners.

Sporting showed they can actually score goals against anybody all they need to do is work on their defense. I won’t write them off against Juventus and I actually would be bet on them to win.

I still think that Juventus and Manchester United are the strongest teams, but I have also realized that United have often been lucky enough to win games in the closing stages. Arsenal's loss to Sporting was not like most predictions at the start. You could say it was a surprising victory for Sporting. I agree that their victory over Arsenal will motivate them even more. Leverkusen on the other hand did improve after they started the season badly. I'm not going to speculate too much about this game, I want to see the result of the first leg first at least.

I am not sure it works that way. Everyone, absolutely everyone here thought that the journey would already end against Arsenal. Even more, if Arsenal would have been up against Juventus, most people here would have said that this is the end for Juventus taking into account how strong Arsenal is right now in the Premier League. That makes sense to me. But now that Braga took out Arsenal, why would they not have a chance against Juventus too? The only negative side effect of taking out Arsenal is that no other club will underestimate Braga from now on. That might perhaps have been their little advantage as Arsenal thought, ok we didn't play well in Braga, but no problem we are going to win it at home.

Manchester United did revert their season very great from early bad to middle super good parts of the season. Now the season is coming to its ending and they are fighting in some cups with hope that they will win some titles and end in top four of Premier League. They are stronger than Sevilla and have better form but they will not have break time in mid of weeks with their fixture.

They will have to pay attention on Bruno Fernandez who is their source of creativeness and key passes. He usually get exhausted when a season comes to its final phase. Ten Hag must consider to give him 10 to 15 minutes resting time when the club has good results.

It's amusing hearing Manchester United fans share their hopes and dreams of winning a quadruple this season lol, Erik Ten Hag has done so well to revert Manchester United's poor and hopeless season to something much better and have a trophy already won this season. Their match against Sevilla will be interesting even though Sevilla is not so good at the moment but if they can hold United's attack down then it will be easy for them to get a good result.

The presence of Ten Hag with United had a very positive impact. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of The Red Devils. So far, Ten Hag has proven he can make Manchester United a much better team even with only the players available. I mean, Ten Hag only brought in five players namely, Antony, Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez. however, he can lift old players and newcomers play solidly and the most prominent thanks to Ten hag is Marcus Rashford.
Next, next season Ten Hag will bring in the players he wants. that way, United can be sure to be much better than they are currently showing.

Meanwhile, speaking of trophies, as far as I'm concerned Ten Hag never said he was aiming for any trophies. but they will not miss their chance, if they have the momentum to win the trophy. well, in the next game. I remain optimistic that United will qualify for the next round phase. without intending to belittle Sevilla, as their opponent in the quarter-finals later. I am optimistic that there is a big possibility, United can become finalists in this competition.

Manchester United is currently performing fairly well. Because as long as Cristiano Ronaldo was in the team, the performance of this team was messy. After Cristiano Ronaldo left the team, the team got back into their rhythm very well. Now the coach of the team is leading the team in a great way and I can see the determination to do great things in the upcoming matches.

Cristiano Ronaldo has always given the best possible performance under the Manchester United jersey.  I think it's disrespectful to Ronaldo to comment differently on this.  He is an honest and hardworking football player who tries to be maximum efficient in every team he has been to.  I don't think the downfall of Manchester United has anything to do with it.

Juventus is one of the favourites, but who is Sevilla? A team that is literally two points from the relegation zone (and this is not the Premier League but La Liga where competition in the basement is weak) has a chance of only two times worse than Juventus (top 2 in Serie A if you do not take into account the penalty). It seems to me that this is complete nonsense from bookmakers, even considering the fact that these are knockout games, everyone has a chance, etc.

I was checking for some information whether there were either Champions League or Europa League winners that struggled hard in the domestic league competition, but what I found was this info about Manchester City in the season 1937/1938. Have a look at it, but as a quick summary, they won the Premier League title in the season before and then got relegated the season after as the team which has scored the most goals!
I am quite sure that has never happened before or after.

But back to topic, I guess this is the list you could be interested in and indeed there was no team so far that was really as bad as Sevilla at this point. They have all ranked pretty high, but sometimes they were ending the season miles and miles behind the title winner. Like Ac Milan in 2006/2007 with 36 points behind Inter and yet they won the Champions League final against Liverpool. 

It's funny (and the situation with goals is generally mega absurd), but in those days a lot of things were strange, for example, the world champion Uruguay or Bitsan, who scored as many goals as Pele could not even dream of.

The case with Milan is interesting, but even if Milan had not won that Champions League, they would have a ticket to next year as they finished 4th in Serie A. Real Madrid won the Champions League in the 99-00 season, finishing only 5-th in La Liga, so it was the only way for them to get a ticket for next season and they used it.

If winning on quarter final potential lead to final stage because another the same draw games between the winning Feyenoord or AS Roma, if can bring Leverkusen to semifinal or final stage become sweet moment in first debut for Xabi Alonso with Bayern Leverkusen.

I give you a club about what's gonna be the result from the match. Sporting can be considered as a tough opponent. It was able to beat milan through a penalty. Juventus must be carefully caused by sporting was using full defense when it will be playing away.



The draw may able to be the result of the first leg between juventus against sporting. Sporting was not a team that can be underrated. Juventus is doing well in any match so far.

As you said Sporting will defend very well to aim for a draw in this first leg, Juventus really have to be careful although they are going to play at home, and they can't make a mistake because Sporting counterattack is also very dangerous. But if to bet on a draw I personally won't place my bet on a draw, maybe unde 3 goals will be the best option for me in this first leg although the odds draw is quite tempting.

The same strategy as what was already used by supporting when it was playing in the emirates stadium. It will be so good if sporting will able to win against juventus away but it seems like if it's too good to be true. Sporting's coach will be issuing an instruction for players to defend against juventus and use counter attack as a way to attack juventus. Getting a draw when you are playing away can be considered a successful result by the coach rather than losing when playing away. That will make the job become even easier when it will be playing at home.
It's quite simple to predict what strategy that will be used by porting. Juventus may also get big pressure for the remaining sanction that has not yet been given to the club. I don't expect so many goals to be made during the match.

Sporting is always doing efficient counter attack against arsena. it's also adding more goals during the second leg in emirates stadium. This gonna be a very hard task for juventus.

We still have a lot to go and it is not going to be anytime soon, lets see how it will go. I know that Lisbon beat Arsenal but that doesn't mean that we are going to see them beat Juventus too. I think odds 1.80 is lovely, it is actually near where I thought it would be, I assumed that it would be 1.70 and not 1.80 but that type of closeness could be changed anytime as well, like when we get closer we could see that or there could be other places that offers that instead.

This is exactly the game where it is not a dominating level of easy game for Juventus, like not 1.40 or worse, not easy game, but not bad like 2.20 or something neither, they should be winning, but a surprise could happen levels.

Yes Lisbon success win against Arsenal although the win was on penalty shootout, but that's a good record and indeed will motivate Lisbon players to be able to successfully wins against Juventus later. Lisbon somehow has a pretty tight defense and they have a great goalkeeper at there, even Tottenham also difficulty against this team in the UCL before. Let's hope Juventus will advance to the next round because they also have a good record against Lisbon, and winning at home will be their target later, but if they can't win then what happened to Arsenal might happen to them too.

Sporting have displayed strong mentally while against Arsenal and at that time Arsenal is the favourite even most people predict Arsenal will be able to overcomes them but in fact Sporting were qualified and eleminated Arsenal so Juventus should be aware to this team because possibly they can performing unpredictable and makes big teams get in trouble

And i haven't checked the odds between them but i guess Juventus is the favourite and they have to managed their records from Sporting because if i am not mistaken both teams has been met on group stages champion league on 2017 and Juventus has 2 times unbeatable at that time and for the first leg which is Juventus as a host i am sure Sporting will targetting draw result and playing more defensive than Juventus and don't underestimate them because recently this strategy were successfully to bringing Sporting to qualified to quarterfinal

I know that Juventus is a stronger team in terms of squad quality.  However, I would like to remind you that Sporting Lisbon eliminated Arsenal.  They are very good and fast in counter attacks.  They also have technically very good players.  It will be a difficult match for Juventus.  Sporting Lisbon is a team that has the power to eliminate them, just like Arsenal.  We know that there are unexpected victories from Portuguese teams.
