I agree with you on that. It was a clear penalty for Ukraine there. Because as far as I can see there is a contact with Mudryk's foot. I don't know how they still continue to make mistakes in the presence of VAR technology. If they examined the incident in detail they were going to realize that the final decision should have been the opposite.

Maybe Ukraine could have eliminated Italy there but a bad decision brought their end instead.    I can't say Italy were great in terms of performance here but I must admit that Chiesa and Donnarumma were really impressive.

Yeah it's penalty. That's clean. The referee was blind. The referee is clear having an agenda to rob ukraine from beating italy to be qualified for euro 2024. I will not believe if there was no agenda owned by UEFA as said but aleksander ceferin on his statement called a disaster if italy won't qualify for the euro 2024.

As an Italian I am ashamed to have witnessed a qualification spoiled by a missed penalty, I understand that for Italy to miss this European Championship would have been a drama and a disaster, but obtaining the pass like this is truly disappointing, unfortunately the rule applies that if the referee doesn't blow the whistle, it's not a foul and furthermore we don't know if the penalty would actually have been scored by the Ukrainian. Lukaku is underrated when he plays in the international competition. I don't know why people keep call him lakaka despite his performance that is not that bad overall. Im thinking about he shall get another chance.

This is why i don't even mocking him like what others did. Lukaku is underrated striker. This guy is still having potential even though he is not young anymore.

It is clear that those who called him lakaka are not very smart people and that's putting it mildly. Lukaku has always been a great forward, he scores a lot, he is dimensional and at the same time incredibly technical for his size and can score from almost any position and with his feet and head and on the point of attack Lukaku is deadly.

Quite a slippery result for Italy (one goal could have buried them) and I don’t think the national team’s fans are happy with Spalletti’s performance.
In fact, all the teams that qualified are known except for Group D, where Wales has a theoretical chance to overtake Croatia, but for this, Wales must beat Turkey, and Croatia cannot beat Armenia at home. I would give no more than 5% for such an event.

There is one spot in EURO yet to be taken through qualifiers. But Wales is in realy difficult situation - they not only need to win against Turkey, but also that Croatia would lose to Armenia, what isn't likely to happen.

What bothers me though is that they didn't even check VAR. OK, the referee is close, he's got a good view, but it's a moment of huge significance - at least go and see - make sure you've made the right call.

I'm not 100% sure about VAR protocol, but I think that fact that game wasn't stopped, it doesn't mean that VAR didn't checked that moment. Maybe they watched it once or twice  and gave signal to main referee that there is no need to make moredetailed review and stop the game.

I think Italy were very lucky not to lose to Ukraine in yesterday's game... Italy was lucky in the game against North Macedonia, although they managed to score five goals... But the 0-0 game against Ukraine was very risky...

I feel like Italy's inconsistent playing will hurt them a lot, that's not really acceptable level for them and it should be considered one of the worst situations for them. They could have won 5-0 against Ukraine too, or they could have lost, that's the weird thing, before the game both was possible, normally if a team is good they are good, like if France played Ukraine I would say it would be a huge huge huge shock if Ukraine managed to win, whereas when it's Italy that is playing against them, I am not shocked at the possibility of a dominating win, or a humiliating loss by them, both are possible. They will want to increase the pressure in the second half and at least a draw here will guarantee them to leave the group as leaders. Turkey is not playing badly at the moment but I think we will see a different game setup in the second half. Its true that we dominated, but few minutes before Budimir finally scored Armenia had the best chance in the game and could have easily scored if their attacker had a little bit more composure. We need at least one more goal as soon as possible and then I may feel a little bit calmer.

Edit: Türkiye actually equalized the score in the 70th minute meaning Wales have to go through the play offs to get a place there, based on the schedule Finland is their next opponent clearly this is a challenge for Wales because Finland has been playing well recently, I think Finland's chances are bigger than Wales but yeah, let's see who is the luckiest.

We can't expect any surprises in this match that Croatia is not playing at home. They will most probably win and they already led at half time. Besides that, we can see that they are playing in a dominant way and trying to score goals. As for Turkey, 1 point from here will be enough to be the leader. It's a tough away and they played very well when they beat Germany in a friendly 3 days ago. Here they will want to score a goal in the second half and at worst draw the match. Ordinarily you would expect from dominate from the first minute of the game to the very end but it seems the Greeks came prepared to show the world cup runner  up that they (the Greeks) can pull some stunts in this match as the score line may not be what you all expected tonight. My bad, posted out of my memory without actually looking at the table. Anyway, none part of Wales plan didn't worked. They didn't managed to beat Turkey and game ended 1:1 and they didn't got positive result from Croatia.
There is still 4 open spots in EURO and it will be taken through Nation League playoffs in March.

Wow Greece really surpassed expectations by leading France to a tie.
Both teams played well but it's surely a surprise for Greece to not lose to a so far unbeaten France.
Sadly this doesn't mean much for Greece, the country was bound to finish third in the group and therefore be lead to play-offs for a potential qualification.
Who knows, Greece showing some strength now would probably boost confidence in the playoffs. But it's not going to be particularly easy.

Croatia head to another competition with the victory over Armenia to join Turkey who did not allow Wales have the victory. I think Wales scored too early and did not have what it takes to defend the goal because Turkey consistently maintained the pressure on the wales defense that it led to a penalty. Sad day for Wales, they were close, and that is all they can have from history. Gilbratar who suffered a massive 14 goal loss against France suffer a big defeat also against Netherlands who scored an early goal, and almost a goal every other ten  minutes of that game.
