I thought Sweden would do better in this group although I did expect Austria and Belgium to get ahead of the rest, but Sweden did worse than I thought they would.

Regarding Lukaku and his pivotal role for the Belgian game, I think they would rather be happy that concerned about his terrific form and they don't want to think about what would happen if he gets injured or can't play for any reason. If Bellingham continues at this level, it seems that he will not leave the Ballon D'Or award to anyone easily in the coming years! As long as there is a Real Lobby behind such a talented and successful player, his rivals will have a harder job.

Yes Belgium really had some golden years, but they had some fluctuations in their performance level in the wrong moments during the tournaments. Winning these big tournaments is mostly a question of consistency. Of course you need some luck, but the teams should drop below a certain basis performance level because that is what will knock them out then. Belgium often had problems with Italy and I think the closest they got to win something was at the World Cup 2018 when they lost 1-0 against France in the semifinal and then won the game for 3rd against England 2-0. In that game their offense consisted of Eden Hazard, De Bruyne and Lukaku.
